Chocolate, wine and cheese (and 5 lbs.)
Hello all,
I was relatively new here when I left to go on a two week vacation to the south of France. Anyways, i have returned and am fired up to loose my stubborn 15 lbs. I am married a year and have gained that dreaded post wedding weight and am trying to get it off. I am cutting portions and staring to exercise again. I am thinking of doing Nutrisystem to get my portions in control (I eat a lot). Any suggestions? PS: When i was away i was getting pretty pumped about returning and checking in here :) wish me luck |
Cheese! I hope you had some good ones. I am a cheap/expensive/whatever cheese junkie. You will knock that weight off in no time. Lots of good motivating thoughts coming your way. What kind of exercise do you like to do? I run and can't wait to go tonight when my baby's daddy comes home. It was absolutely gorgeous outside today; it's ridunculous!

i really like group exercise. That's why a gym is critical for me. Thanks for the good thoughts:) same to you

chocolate, wine, and cheese -- sounds like heaven!
good luck in knocking down those last stubborn pounds, we're all with you! |
Wine and cheese are definitely problems for me!!! I can't stand the low fat versions of most cheeses and I can really go overboard with the wine. Chocolate? Well, I can take it or leave it and it doesn't really pose a problem for me.
Currently I'm on day 4 of my no wine kick and am down 2 pounds for my efforts. I'm sure you'll do just fine getting those vacation pounds off! |
Thanks guys for the encouragement.
alinnell- I wish that it was only the vacation pounds that I had to loose. that only compounded the matter :) I'm with you on the chocolate, I could live without it. My issue is cheese. I had stopped bringing it into the house b/c it wouldn't last with me there but now I buy a big brick and put it in the freezer. I only use cheese now for cooking and so I take it out of the freezer and slice off a chunk when needed and put the rest back into the freezer. |
:welcome2: back, and good luck concquering those last few pounds!

Good for you, Allinell! I should try that again & see if it works this time - I think I was inspired by you once before to cut out the alcohol & see what happened, but apparently I was making up the calories somewhere, so I just added the wine right back in.
