What are you doing??
What's your plan? I am using a combo of South Beach principles and calorie counting, which really means i try to eat south beachy, but make allowances in my calories for more treats...but the foods are generally healthy, whole grains fresh veggies and fruits and good fats. Nothing too trendy. I struggle though with sweets and exercise. I love chocolate and hate sweating, what can i say. I realize i'm gonna have to get over that if i want to get the last 12 lbs off!! :carrot:
Just curious what the rest of you are doing to fight off those last few lbs. I'm also upping my calories for the rest of this week to see if that makes a difference. If it doesn't, i'll go back down after vacation next week. Don't want to be too deprived, though i feel like it will happen pretty naturally while i'm there since i'll be so busy i won't be snacking much! |
I suggest buying a pedometer and wearing it everyday. They say to target your steps to 10,000 a day to be healthy and 12,000 if you're striving toward weight-loss. I haven't had mine very long, but knowing its keeping track make me want to walk as much as possible just so I won't be under 10,000 at the end of the day. Keep track by writing down your total steps at the end of the day and make new goals. It can really be motivating.
As for sweets, I can only suggest trying to replace them with other things like fruit. Have you visited hungry-girl.com? She has amazing ideas and substitutes for guilt-free versions of your favourite sweets, desserts, etc. Hope I was some help! Good luck! |
