Default Foods with zero or VERY few calories

So what do you put in your mouth when you want something but have no calories left?

Give me some ideas.

Mine include:

Sugar-free jello (8 cals per portion)
Sugar free drinks (0)
Black coffee/tea (about 4 cals per cup)
Sugar-free chewing gum (5 cals per 2 pieces)
Water (0)
Pickled onions (6 cals per oz)

Pepperocini. I think they're like 10 calories for three of them (but high in sodium). But I can't say I eat them when I've run out of calories--I eat them when I'm really hungry and the meal is still half an hour or so off! If I'm out of calories for the day, I stick to water.

if it is early in the day, I'll have a diet soda if it is hot and black tea with splenda if it is cold.
At night, I like to have peppermint tea with splenda.
If I have a craving for a strong flavor, sometimes I'll have a small pickle (baby dill).

Pepperoncini are those small spicy green peppers (aka banana peppers or Tuscan peppers).

I would probably just go for a piece of fruit or some veggies, like an apple or a handful of baby carrots. If it was in the evening, I might just have water or tea and go to bed a little hungry.

I have a container with cut up celery in to keep the munchies at bay. Nice and crunchy too!

Carrots,
lifesavers (like 10 cals apiece),
diet sodas(I know there is controversy on these, but it does work for me).
sugar free jello - but I will add a tablespoon of fat free whip cream.
If I have about 100 cals - my favorite - sugar free pudding and some whip cream.

OR - I will just occupy myself. Start moving, take a tub, or great suggestion that I got from someone else on 3fatchicks - go read a book in bed. It seems that as soon as I am tucked in and cozy - I'm not hungry - I'm tired.

Saurkraut, kim-chee, seaweed salad.. All filling, low in calories and high in nutrients.

Pickles, generally are almost always zero calories.

Raw cucumbers would be very refreshing this time of year in the 95F heat!

If you can handle more calories, (like 40), a big hunk of cold watermelon does wonders for eliminating appetite as it's like 99% water.

.definitely sugar-free jello.
.or sugar-free popsicles run about 15 calories each & sugar-free fudgesicles are a real splurge at 40 calories each.
.other than that i stick to herbal tea with splenda or crystal light.
.most fruits & veggies are a safe bet too, but i stay away from carrots, or super sweet fruits like mangoes - they feel like they're just too much for me.
.or sometimes if i'm really desperate ill get a little cup and fill it with light whipped cream & freeze it - i tell myself that its ice cream.

.ciao bellas.

Speaking of refreshing foods in the summer, I have been eating a TON of watermelon the past week - it is so good to bite into a cold piece of juicy fruit when the weather is hot outside!

Some good ideas here - but I was thinking of things with like less than 10 cals, rather than up to 100.

I like, with a little salt or dressing:
  • Celery
  • Raw carrots
  • Cauliflower
  • Cold Dill Pickles
  • Tomatoes
  • Cucumbers
  • Green apple more calories than vegetables but they are very filling

With a bottle of water...
