Feathers' spring fun

I thought I put this up this morning. If anyone finds it in another forum please ask to get that one deleted. The mysteries of the electronic age . . .

So, it sounds like a lot of us are quite demoralized by winter. I thought the following might provide a bit of levity and renew our morale for the spring and summer seasons.

Picture yourself at the best weight/body size you've ever been - the one where you looked in the mirror and went "WOW! Do I ever look great!"

Now, go virtual shopping for two killer spring/summer outfits for that body - one dressier, the other casual. Provide descriptions/links for the rest of the group to go and view your outfits. Include shoes, hairstyles, little dogs - whatever you want for accessories. You can even describe the scenario where you would wear each outfit if you want.

Actual photos are probably going to eat up a lot of space on the website and I think the lovely people who provide the space would rather we didn't do that. So lots of text and some links.

Let's have some fun!

You go first ;)

No, really, I love your idea, but I won't have time to "shop" until this weekend... so let's see what ya' got!

Mudpie's outfits coming on Friday

I will post these on Friday when I have a bit more time and am less washed out by the rain. I just tried to post the dressy one and lost the entire thing when I made a mistake.

I'll go first. I am a sucker for white dresses and am pretty excited for this summer as I"m hitting my stride like nobody's business...

This...is my casual summer outfit. I'll likely get something similar this year..with the roman sandals as they are in the photo....I'd love to have something like this for our annual bbq in August...

Diamond studs, and lots of gold bangles!

THIS BAG. BIG Sunglasses...and total bedroom hair.

Summer Casual FUN!!

Oh the evening outfit. I'd love to drop the kids off at my parents' apartment in nyc and whisk my husband away to scalini fedeli (our first dinner date was there!) for a gourmet feast...just the two of us, a kick *** restaurant...and a date in the evening (for all sorts of wickedness) at the Four Seasons...hey you gotta dream...

DRESSY Summer Fun

I'll likely "carry" one of those cool clutches...in metallic gold and wear my hair half up in a messy two sided french braid..thin gold chain with a teeny lapis pendant, BIG gold hoops...and a secret cheshire smile..

Oh and ballet flats...most likely our night on the town will involve lots of walking around and nothing puts a crimp in having fun like hurting tootsies...

Great fun thread!!

Love it!!! You'll be rockin' it!

i'll look for a dressier outfit later... this is fun!

technonot - help!

Lekhika Would you mind telling me how you did your links? I've been copying and pasting from the actual site and the links are several miles long.

iris cute!

Dagmar (computers r not us)

Lekhika 03-19-2008 09:23 PM

iriswhispers..that is one cute outfit! I love jcrew!

Dagmar
when you have the image you want..right click on it and a window pops up....scroll to the bottom of the menu and click left click on it...another window will pop up...the url address you see there is the one you will click on to copy.

Now you can go link by link or paste the link onto wordpad and find your entire wardrobe

Then I suggest you write down what you want to write down ...for example....and highlight the word that corresponds to the link...then click on the link prompt at the top of the quick reply window (that's the one with the little globe and paperclip type looking thing)...and hit enter...you should have a neat and tidy link that's the word of your choice....

God this sounds confusing to me...
