DAY ONE - The Race Weigh In
Here we are. The official start of our race to 5lbs. I'll start with my weight.
114lbs. Yes, that's up from my ticker...I know. :o I refuse to move the numbers in my ticker UP so I'll just have to get back to 113 really quick. :D *cuts imaginery race starting ribbon with extra large scissors* On your marks, get set.....GO! *shoots off imaginery gun signalling the start of the race* |

157 lbs
I am up 3 pounds from last week, largely due to poor eating habits, but I suspect TOM is preparing to visit as well. Is it fair to record my starting weight at 157 when it might largely have to do with TOM? Oh well, I guess so. Five pounds will still take me lower then what I was before this 3 pound gain today. I will change my ticker tomorrow. Gotta go! |

I'll join in the race tomorrow morning, I didn't weigh myself today... But I'm pretty sure I am at 148... I want to be down to 143 I haven't seen that number in eons!!! Seriously!! :yes:

I'm in! I was at 138.0 this morning. I suspect that some of that is water retention, but that's what the scale said so that's what I'm going with. 133.0 would be heavenly. That's the exact amount I weighed on the day I got pregnant with my (now 2 yr old) daughter, so reaching it again will be a milestone.

I'm in too. Weight is up from 138 last week - bad week, I guess.
I'm 141.4, so goal is 136.4. Interesting that many of us are right around the same weight right now (140-ish or so). Good luck all! |

Azure We WERE at the same starting weight, but I weighed in 3 pounds heavier this morning!!! I feel like I have all the symptoms of TOM approaching, feel bloated, bumping into things right and left, irritable, quiet...BUT I looked back on my thread and see it has only been 2 weeks since TOM visited last, so I guess I can't blame this on TOM. I have been eating more crap then usual and some of that being chips, so I suppose I have created my own bloating process. Time will tell. I usually w/i on Monday mornings, so I am giving myself this one more day to see if the scale will make a dip before I change my ticker back!

Good news!
I w/i this morning which is my usual day of the week to w/i and I am back to 154 lbs. Phew!!!! So...to be fair, I am starting this challenge at 154 lbs, instead of the 157 I registered on the scale yesterday. I am amazed at how the scale can fluctuate!!!
So, Azure, THE RACE IS ON!! I am scheduled to eat only fruit today. My eating program has an All-Fruit Day twice a month. This challenge should help me stick to it today! |

I think once a week should be good...either Sunday or Monday.

I may stick with Friday (my usual) as I am in the habit of being a little more relaxed with eating on weekends. I kind of have to be flexible because weekends often bring unexpected or off routine food for me. I can report my Friday weight on Sun or Mon though... no prob!

I think I'm a couple of days late, but I want to play! I weighed in at 131 this a.m. so I'll start there. 131-5=126, boy that would be great!

forgot to post my starting weight but its 153.5-so my goal is 148.

I also posted in the other thread, but, heck, I'll update while I'm at it:
Start: 141.5 Current, as of this am: 138 I imagine this will bounce up a bit. I tend to be a "bouncer," and this is a low. As I've posted elsewhere, I'm no longer all that interested in losing more weight. I don't have much fat to lose (measured yesterday at 14.25% BF) and I don't want to lose muscle. But, I'm happy to become the pace car, or just cheer y'all on from the sidelines! |
