How often do you weigh yourself?
How often do you weigh at home? It is hard for me to resist weighing everyday!
Every morning, after I've had my morning pee, completely naked. ;) I really only count my numbers once a week--but I check myself every day. It helps keep me motivated to do that.
Every morning. I record it every day, too. I have my weight list going back over a year and a half (it's actually come in handy a couple of times, too, when I need to see what I weighed a year ago to see if I've been gaining or losing).

saturdays and wednesdays

Hello all. My second post in this forum. I weigh myself every morning but I don't make it count until my weigh-in day at the end of the week. I'm exactly like you Azure. After the first pee and naked. ;) I'm also curious to see how my food and drink intake from the day before effects my weight. I try not to focus on the pounds as much as how my clothes fit tho. but I can't help myself in the mornings to take a peek anyway. lol
I weigh myself everyday, but I don't count it until my weigh in day :) I tried to weigh myself less often, but it was too hard!
After many experiments
I weigh about every second day so there are no huge surprises  but only count the ones on Friday and Monday. I take the average of those two and record it. Then there are things like road trips and vacations where I give myself about 5 days to undo damage  before stepping on the scale. :D

Most mornings after using bathroom and stripping naked, unless I'm at BF's house (his scale is whack and I don't trust it....its enough to make anyone weep).
If I've eaten late the night before or had a meal high in sodium for dinner I sometimes don't weigh myself because I don't want a dispiriting and misleading weigh-in to obsess over. emily xxx |
I can't weigh myself daily as I have a tendency to let the fluctuations bother me. Now that I am maintaining, I weigh weekly. While I was losing, I weighed monthly.
I weigh myself every Saturday morning. I was weighing myself everyday but if I saw a number I didn't like, it would ruin my day!

Every morning, naked, after peeing, before eating or working out. I record every weight on a spreadsheet which calculates the running 7 day average.
I weigh any day I can manage to get in there after nursing ds but before eating. So usually 3-5 days a week. But I only count new lows when I am in loss mode. I never "see" ups. So sometimes I would have several "official weigh ins" in a row, sometimes I would have none for 3 weeks.
Now that I am in maintenance I only look for the high flag and low flag weights. Anything in between just slides off my brain. Sometimes I record it, but I dont get emotionally vested. |
Twice a day. In the morning as soon as I get up, after peeing, naked, before I've eaten anything. Then again in the evening just before I go to bed, naked, after peeing. I consider this restraint.
Once in a while, I also weigh after working out, but usually only if I've worked out before eating anything. My weight is at it's absolute lowest then and it usually gives me a little boost. |
I weigh myself on Saturday and Sunday mornings. First thing in the morning, after using the bathroom, before eating anything.
... I don't have a scale, but I step on them when I have the chance! :)
Daily-first thing in the a.m. Like everyone else, I pee, then step straight on the scale--in my pjs though.
The only exception to this is when I'm traveling out of town, I don't weight at all. ALWAYS, I feel like I'm destroying my progress b/c I'm eating out, eating crap & not exercising. ALWAYS, when I come back I find I've either lost a pound or two, or at least maintained. Weird. I guess the seperation from the scale makes me hyper-sensitive & I eat less calories out of just plain worry & fear, not counting or smart choices. Makes me sound healthy, doesnt it? ;). |
hEhehe EVERy DaY...
Every morning, first thing, after the bathroom, before eating or drinking. I always write it down on graph paper so I can see a trend. Sometimes at night, too, just out of curiosity, but I don't take it seriously.
I prefer a daily up and down, and I don't let myself take slight gains too seriously, but they do get me geared up to work harder that day. Waiting a week is too long for me, like dieting without a net. :) |
Every morning before eating and drinking or going to the bathroom.
However I've been guilty of obsessing over it and weighing myself on the scale multiple times a day. :/ Bad habit I'm trying to break |
multiple times daily. experiencing watch pot never boils syndrome.
Every Saturday morning. I figured there is no use torturing myself by weighing everyday.
I try and resist doing it every day - because as a previous poster said, it can ruin your whole day! However, if I have been very good - food wise and exercise wise - I am usually pretty confident BUT if I have been very naughty, mainly food wise - forget it - I dont wanta know. Cheers, Kerrie

While i was at home (back at school now, boo) i'd weigh myself every morning and sometimes in the evening just to keep in check and make sure that i hadn't gone vastly up overnight or anything. I was slightly addicted to it at first but i guess coming back to school will be going cold turkey! My official weigh day is Saterday.
I have a challenge with myself at the moment to only weight once a week :)
My WW meeting is on Thursdays, so Thursday morning is my *official* weigh-in...at first I only weighed myself once a week because we had a scale at work for our work WW group, and I never had time to do it more than once a week. But then our scale disappeared, so I had to buy myself one for home. I got a nice Tanita scale that also measures body fat % (which is something I am also trying to decrease). So now I usually weigh myself every other day, because I like to learn the patterns of my body. Usually first thing in the morning, but I've found that my weight is usually consistent up until about 10am. After 10am I've had breakfast and a snack, and a LOT of water (I aim for 3 litres a day), so my weight is more.
It's hard not to weigh every day, but I use weighing as a bit of a reward...as in "work hard on WW today, because tomorrow you can weigh yourself and you might see some good results!" :) |
I weigh on Saturdays. In the morning after I pee and completely naked.
One of the guys I work with he is a big workout buff. He said you should not do that but they weigh once a week on the Biggest Loser. So that is what I do. But my biggest problem is that I have been to the doctor a lot lately for insomnia and they weigh me everytime I go in. And it is never the same and it is never what my scale says. Very frustrating. Sometimes I think they do it on purpose. |
I am addicted to my scale and I really need to break that habit. Usually I weigh myself several times in the morning. :dizzy:
I am addicted to weighing myself. I have to move my scale so it's not staring me down everytime I go into the bathroom! But my offical weighin day is Sundays.
i don't own a scale anymore. so i just weigh myself when i'm at my parents' house. if i did own one i'd be weighing myself twice a day
I weigh myself almost every day, sometimes more than once. Usually it's first thing in the morning, after that first pee. Unfortunately my weight fluctuates about five pounds up and down during the week. "How did I gain/lose four pounds overnight??" We keep the scale in the downstairs bathroom, otherwise I'd be on it constantly.
I weigh every morning, after 1st pee and before breakfast, lol. Sometimes I'll hop on in the evening just to see the #.
I'm surprised I've never commented on this thread before  .... I weigh every Monday and Friday... Somtimes inbetween too :goodscale:
