A race?
 
I just noticed another thread in another forum about racing to the next goal and thought that sounded like a great idea. Maybe just what I need to get me back on track full force. Anyone want to jump in with me a have a bit of a race to the next 5 lbs down or the final 10 or something? Something has to get my butt back in gear.:p

I'm in the Loozing Floozies race to be the first to lose 5 pounds. As soon as I joined it, I gained a pound. Yikes!!!

So how many pounds are we looking for in this race? You don't have far to go to get back to goal. But I TOTALLY understand the need for the kick in the butt!!

I'll totally race for the next 5 pounds :D Give me a starting date and I'll keep ya posted. I DEFINITELY need something to get me motivated. Maybe working toward a smaller goal will help.

Excellent!! We can't start today though:lol:, I ate at MacDonalds and had ice cream.:o Hence the need for a kick in my butt!! :D

I look forward to starting this. Why don't we go for the next 5lbs? I guess we need to determine when we start. What else do we need? I've never organized an online fat loss race before. :lol:

Pick a date (how about Sunday) and a weight (5 pounds sounds good) and everyone posts what their Sunday (beginning) weight is and then the first person to lose 5 pounds from there is the winner!

Actually, what I find most inspiring is those Progress Pics you posted, ggold! We have nearly the same statistics and your before pic looks SO much like mine! How long did it take you to dump those 40 pounds???

Any special techniques you'd like to share?

Awwww....thanks!! That's so nice. Funny, when I look at my progress pics, all I see are all the areas that still need to lose more fat. Why can't we see ourselves the way others see us?

I started on March 6th so from then until now...5 months I guess. Most of the weight came off in the first 3 months though, the past couple months I've been dragging my feet more.

Can't wait to start tomorrow! I'm almost afraid that the last couple days of eating poorly is putting me at a higher weight than I was when I agreed to start--but I'll weigh in tomorrow and post where my starting weight is, no matter how much I don't want to face it! Tomorrow the race begins, and I'm ready to sprint :D

I have been talking about what I would do when I lose the next 5 pounds as that would put me under 150 lbs., so this challenge would be really gratifying to win. And I AM going to win!! :D

Well, I weighed in this morning at 154! So, my 5 pounds will finally put me in the 140s! 149, here I come!

PS~Clykk, We've got the same starting weight :D Ready to race to 149?

Well, darn! My starting weight is 146.5 (I say darn because yesterday I was 145 and I was totally OP all day!!). So my 5 pounds will put me at 141.5
