You miss reading this thing for a couple of days and it runs away from you. :dizzy: So bear with me as I go into a semi-long post.

I was so sorry to hear about your break-in, Allinell. I wouldn't be surprised if it were tweakers (or any other type of addicts). In my line of work (corrections-law enforcement) I've seen people do some crazy things for a high. The popular thing to do where I work (in a Work Release - minimum security center) is to take a whole bunch of cold medication. Another popular one is taking Tylenol PM's. Apparently, if you take enough they give you a buzz.

I also wanted to thank everyone who sent good wishes towards my Dad. He had surgery a couple of weeks ago and it left him in the hospital a couple of days longer than planned. He's doing better now and can almost walk normally. But he's still tender and can't do too much, so that's left me doing more around the house, which I don't mind.

On the weightloss front things have not been going as well. Last time I posted I was down to 163.5, three pounds lighter. Well, as expected I'm back up to 165.5-166 lbs. This is where I've been for over a month. I know I need to take a closer look at what I eat and maybe excersize more, but I've been eating better and moving more than I was this past winter. And I'm at the same weight. I'm not going to give up, but it's starting to become frustrating. :( Anybody have any ideas or suggestions that I can use?

I'm going home!!

Good morning everyone!
After 16 days dog-sitting I'm home today. YAAYY! Have a great weekend everyone and I'll catch up with you all on Monday ;)

Good morning dears.
I have nothing of note to say, just have some time to fill and thought I stop by.
Wouldn't it be nice if we all could just slide under that 10's number in the next few days?
Dagmar ... once in a while there's a thread in support to plan and have just one good day. It is hard. Look at all the interuptive things that have happened to the folks in this thread this week.

 Hello susie-poo

Well lots to report, kinda! Had a big mix-up with my grocery delivery last night, in the end we got our stuff AND some-one else's which was nice since they have more expensive taste than we do! I have sushi for lunch... :D It was all sorted and above board though, not like we stole it! We also got some Halloumi cheese and salami and organic red leicester cheese and nice yoghurts that DH loves, so he's a happy chappy too!

At kickboxing last night I got well and truly beaten up :boxing: I've a big lump on the side of my noggin, and my eyes are blacking up from a good uppercut to my nose. :tired: Fan-tastic! The estate agents are going to refer to us as "the domestic violence couple" since we're house-hunting tomorrow!

Eating and exercise wise everything is on plan. I had a little slip up on Monday night which led to Tuesday being an almost-write off but I'm back in control again and fully forgiven :)

Today I feel a little bigger than usual and I was tempted to weigh, but I figured it would just annoy me even more! So I am just really concentrating on when I'm hungry or not. So far I've only had breakfast and it's half 1. I'm not even remotely hungry for Sushi!

srmb60 05-11-2007 08:27 AM

Oh Jen! Your pretty face!

2frustrated 05-11-2007 08:39 AM

Pah - I'm married now, it doesn't matter! At least that's what they tell me ;)

I've had more serious facial injuries trampolining though - I scraped a load of skin off my nose and forehead attempting a somersault. So at least with kickboxnig I keep my feet on the ground. (most of the time)

Good morning all! Happy to be here today :). I am officially down 15 lbs today! And yesterday when DH drove by the pool home from work he stopped to say hi to me & boys, he said "wow, you're really on your way to a summer bikini body." It seemed like a really sweet and sponteous compliment :)

Kids & I are headed to the front flower beds for a morning of weeding~~woohoo~~joy, joy! If we finish, maybe back to the pool after lunch & nap, otherwise, we'll stick it out til it's done...

Hope all is well with you all...

Claire~I know what you mean about MySpace and what kids put on there. DD has a myspace, but hardly any info on it at all (I watch that one, too). I like to know what's going on in her head because there have been some troubles at her high school. Two sophomores have committed suicide this year--I just want to make sure DD doesn't have those thoughts. Her blog mainly talks about school and how poorly she is doing in some classes because she spends too little time studying. I also get an idea of who she likes/dislikes.

Dawnslight~glad to hear your Dad is out of the hospital. Hopefully he'll mend fast and be up and around in no time! Sorry to hear your weight is up, just stick with it--it'll come back down again.

Jen~oooh, a black eye! So sorry! Good luck house hunting!

Dagmar~glad to hear you're on your way home. How many dogs did you sit this time?

As for me, my weight is up a pound today (I thought it would do that). Going to lunch with DH today, so I have to be careful there. Tomorrow we're going to dinner for our 19th anniversary--got to be careful there, too!

Everyone have a wonderful day!!

I do know that if you google your user name, you'll get a lot of links to the posts here, so it could happen that one day she might stumble upon my posts here, but the likelihood is pretty slim. She spends most of her online time shooting terrorists in some game called counter strike.

Way to go with the staying OP and your weight!!! Feels good, doesn't it?

Glad you're not busted :D I can't begin to imagine how difficult it is to have teenaged children. I do however remember that for about 3 years 15-18 I just grunted a few words at my mother. There was absolutely nothing wrong with me or what I felt about her, it was just the way I was.

And yes it does feel good staying on plan. I've felt my confidence returning over the last week or so. Before I gave up smoking 147 was my cut off point - the absolute highest I would ever let myself get before action had to be taken. The fact that I'm back below it is such a boost. I want 133 to be my new cut off point. In the meantime I'll take the figurative needle dropping - no matter how slow it goes.

Jen - what a really lovely compliment from your husband - you must have been so chuffed.

Mudpie - as someone with an identical 2 1/2 day OP attention span I'd be up for a shorter challenge. I've got to start concentrating because unless I'm 140 or under by 9th July it could seriously affect the enjoyability of my holiday.

Everytime I get here lately I have become tongue tied. Not sure why.

But I just have to come by and say hi.

Kind of been having an uneventful month. Been on plan running like mad but no major leaps or bounds of physical fitness either.

Hey here is one data point. I am officially at my prepregnancy weight for both kids.

I kind of rememebered myself thinner at this weight. It was all distributed differently back then. I was soft but well proportioned. Now it seems to sit all on the belly. Oh well it will be gone soon enough.

Saw Casablanca last night. How romantic. Ate too much popcorn and woke up with a salt hangover.

Ok, I got a new stability ball for my home -- a wee bit smaller but a great fit overall.

I had the morning off work so I got some exercise in (kickboxing) -- will do some weights when I get home - but otherwise no Friday plans, a bit rare -- I *may* go clubbing, but not sure -- since that almost always involve some form of drinking.

Hope everyone is having a great friday and you mommies are getting worshipped like queens over this weekend ;)

alinnell 05-11-2007 04:13 PM

Just got back from lunch with DH. Ok, so I ordered a glass of cabernet...but I think I did okay with my lunch choice. We went to a deli and I got a BLT with avocado. Big slabs of avocado! Yum! Interestingly, they served the mayo on the side! So I didn't add any! Who needs it with the avocado? And the lettuce was a green leaf lettuce--not iceberg, so it's probably a bit more nutritious. Bad fat with the bacon, but there wasn't too much on the sandwich. Although I could have ordered whole wheat, they make their own rye so I had that--it was really good.

Now to decide on dinner.....DD has a performance so it's just the three of us.

OT - sorry!

Allison, you mentioned a labrador retriever owners forum that you're with. Could you give me the URL so I can pass it on to one of my clients? They are first time dog owners and they are really interested in communicating with other lab owners. Their little yellow girl Billie is 10 months now and getting to the "bratty teenager" stage of labdom.
Thanks,
Dagmar
