Hello all! Well I'm aiming for a week like last week and some more sleep I was really really tired at the weekend and so that didn't help me when the munchies attacked yesterday. HUFF!

First 5 lbs.??
I'm down another lb. to 141. I've read, all over the place, that the first 5 lbs. don't really count since they're mostly water. Well, psychologically they sure do count!
My first mini-goal was 140 and I'm almost there, and it's only Monday!! And it's going to be a beautiful sunny, warm day (I work outside).
Life is great! Have a terrific week everybody! (Am I making you yet?)
Dagmar

I'm going to move my ticker every Monday...just to stay honest. Moving it back up after a bad weekend of overindulgence! I'm hoping it is just salt-bloat (wishful thinking). I was 149 on friday....151 today!

SusanB, I'm absolutely interested in a challenge!!
I just had to change my Graduation Goal ticker, as there's no way I could make it to 130 in two weeks! My body is starting to look so much better, and my muscles are so much more defined, but I'm not losing any weight (and am actually gaining a pound here and there!). I know it has to do with diet, so my plan this week is to work on getting diet under control -- even though I'm stressed to the max with two more finals this week.
Luckily, by Thursday at 12:30 p.m., I will be finished with law school! (And on my way to my weekly Pilates class!)

abbyin, a pedometer will make it more fun.
hikerchick and ennay - body fat scales are so inaccurate, absolutely.
Hi to walkintolose.
Congrats Dagmar.
poppins, I'd rather others get to see a better body of mine than for me to get to see a better scale #. I'm generous like that.

abbyin~wow, my DH would be so jealous if I told him about your spending all that time at the Indy 500! He's a really big race fan (more NASCAR than anything--but he watches if it goes fast!). He just "retired" from his own mid-life racing career (a very expensive hobby to say the least). Good luck on losing and stay away from all the icky track food (too many burgers and hot dogs, am I right?)
Welcome Claire! I think we've all see you here and there on the boards.
I've made it through the morning without feeling any hunger, but it just hit me, so I'm going to eat my morning snack of strawberries. I put all my planned food into fitday and as long as I stick with my 21 day challenge and stay away from the wine tonight (shouldn't be a problem--there are no open bottles), then I'll be between 1250-1300 calories for today.
As I was entering my weight on my daily tracker at home, I noticed that I planned to be at goal weight by the end of May. Ain't gonna happen. I have to lose 2.5 to get to ticker weight!!! Perhaps by the end of June?

Hi all,
sorry for the two week absentia -- have been working on regularizing my sleep schedule (which has been running amok lately, with me involuntarily doing 4-6 hours on weekdays and then a 10-14 hour on weekends) so I've been just maintaining over these past two weeks, with a reduced exercise schedule. Now that my sleep is a bit better, I feel comfortable going back on plan this week to lose again.
On the upside, I ran my first 10K event this past Saturday -- came in barely under the hour (58:53) so I'm very happy! (my last event was a 5K in Feb where I came in a little over half-hour) -- I think I'll work on my time & pacing for the 10K (I had 2 brief periods where I was out of breath & had to walk it) before aiming for a half-marathon.
Anyways, I hope the week goes well for y'all too!

Warlock~I was wondering where you've been! Good time on that 10k--I'm impressed! Do you take the LA Times? Did you read about the guy that was mauled by the bear? After his recovery, he ran a marathon. Amazing! I can fast walk a 5k and could probably do the same with a 10k, but I just can't run one. I have so much respect for those that can.
