Getting back on the saddle - an introduction
Hey everyone! I'm a newbie here and I thought I'd introduce myself. The name's Dawnslight and as you can see by my title this is not the first time I've tried to lose weight. Last April I really got serious about losing some weight. I was up to 174 lbs, which is just 5 lbs lighter than my heaviest at 179 lbs. This is a big heavy but it's even worse when you're only 5 foot 1. So I started working out and eating better and I got down to 150 lbs. Then I just lost motivation and gained back 15 lbs bringing me back up to 165 lbs. And seeing it was this time last year that I started losing weight I thought it'd be a good time to get started again. So here I am.

I've found that, from what other people have said and such, that slipping is a normal part of dieting. You have to slip a few times before you become resolute to the point where you make a lifestyle change. To keep from slipping, allow yourself one indugence a week. that way you can have your cake and eat it too. ^-^ it eliminates guilt and keeps dieting from becoming so frustrating that you give up.
I wish you so much luck! |
