Excellent idea. I can't actually remember everything I ate anyway which is not a good sign!

michelinwoman 04-09-2007 09:13 AM

All I have to say about easter is "lots of gravy!" That about sums it up.

alinnell 04-09-2007 11:14 AM

I drank 2 (very carefully measured 7 ounce) glasses of wine yesterday.

sweet_talker 04-10-2007 12:51 AM

2 cookies. slice of banana bread. on plan otherwise.

srmb60 04-10-2007 08:14 AM

I had strawberry-rhubarb pie for breakfast yesterday and it didn't get much better .... all day long.

2frustrated 04-10-2007 09:50 AM

Pie for breakfast is ok by my books! I had soya beans for breakfast on Friday! :T

post vacation unmotivation

I was SO on track... I lost 12 lbs in the 8 weeks leading up to my vacation in Hawaii. I even went running or hiking about half the time I was there. I didn't gain any weight back!!!
Then..... In the last 5 weeks I have been seriously slacking on both diet and exercise. I have let 4 lbs creep back on. :(
But, I'm back at the gym and am going to the store to stock my kitchen with healthy foods again.
Wish me luck!!!!

cheetos 04-11-2007 03:19 PM

hmmmm thinking about yesterday.... I was happy to keep my diet rolling perfectly when a sweet attack made me drink a glass full of chocolate milk with real dark chocolate melted into it :( pathetic end of day.............

Sodiumlightbaby 04-12-2007 06:24 PM

Wow, Bikini Dreader's post made me salavate.

Well, a whole lot a chocolate and some cookies too.

ennay 04-12-2007 07:49 PM

Several bites of my dd's macaroni and cheese while making lunch.

Feeling self sabotagey today. Tired, bored, cranky, unworthy

Big bowl of coffee ice-cream with hersheys syrup and almonds. Followed by another big bowl of same just to self sabotage a bit more.

michelinwoman 04-13-2007 08:46 AM

Started out yesterday good with a bowl of healthy fiber cereal...fried chicken for lunch w/mashed potatoes and mac&cheese......later had hot wings w/blue cheese dip and snacked on lasagna!!!!! I moved my ticker back up to 149 since I haven't seen 147 this week!

Bikini Dreader 04-13-2007 09:46 AM

Last night I had a half piece of some fat-laden cherry cheesecake and a piece of apple cake. Not good.

midearthseeker 04-13-2007 01:26 PM

Help!

I need to back away from the Toaster Strudel!! I meant to buy the kind that has eggs and stuff for my husband's breakfast, but I accidentally got the sweet kind that DH won't eat and I can't help myself!! I've only had one each morning, but they're 200 calories and 100 calories are from FAT!! Somebody stop me!!!

Sodiumlightbaby 04-13-2007 05:50 PM

I had a brie and tomato sandwhich with a cereal bar for lunch. But man was it good.

ennay 04-13-2007 08:36 PM

today was worse than yesterday ugh, I feel sick

midearthseeker 04-14-2007 11:30 PM

Birthday Overload!!

Here's my confession:

Call me a pig, I'm ready to wallow in it. LOL. Today's my birthday and I ate A LOT! I just polished off bacon wrapped/ srimp stuffed jalepeno poppers, chips and guacamole, steak, salmon, roasted corn, honey baked beans, then german chocolate cake AND vanilla cake (my cake and my mom's---we share a birthday!), and now I'm finishing up a bottle of champagne from New Years that's miraculously still good!! I'm dying now, and I know I'll pay tomorrow, but it hurts so good!!:o

Bean87 04-16-2007 12:27 AM

oy i was having such a good day...and then BAM 12:00 rolls around and my food habits become horrendous!! what is the deal??

Bean87 04-16-2007 12:33 AM

its not good when you cant remember what you ate, right?

michelinwoman 04-16-2007 09:23 AM

Bad all weekend again, but haven't had to move my ticker today (since I moved it up last week!). Mexican food twice (steak fajita nachos), chocolate chip cookies several times and a hamburger and fries!

baffled111 04-17-2007 12:17 AM

This isn't so much a confession as an acknowledgment of reality. We had a little dinner party last night and made some calorific foods for our guests. I allow myself one really good meal each week, so no guilt on this end, just pure joy.

I made a delicious salad with baby greens, candied walnuts, roquefort, pear and 1 slice of bacon (split 4 ways). It was sooooo good! Then my bf had done a bbq beer can roasted chicken (I did not touch the crispy skin), with red potatoes roasted in roasted garlic oil, and some grilled asparagus. Finally, I had made the most delicious chocolate caramel tart. It was insanely divine. And we had 3 bottles of wine between the 4 of us. I say, when you're going to have a calorie-blow out, do it properly, with really good food, prepared really well, rather than going to McDonald's! Fortunately, I ate nothing other than some scrambled egg whites yesterday, prior to dinner. I'm guessing I nonetheless blew my calorie budget for the day.

The trouble is, there is still a big ole chunk of the chocolate caramel tart left. I gave half the remainders to our friends, but we got stuck with the other half. Intending to have a piece for dessert tonight, I entered the whole thing into Nutridiary. A 1/12th tart piece is 633 calories!!! And that is before the whipped cream served with it. Oy vey! Fortunately I'm 'losing-while-maintaining' at the moment, and I can actually fit a 633 cal dessert into my 1800 cal allowance. But wow. 633 calories!!!! For 1/12th of a tart! Still, I'll eat it slowly tonight, and enjoy every mouthful.

3fcuser1058250 04-17-2007 08:23 PM

3 pieces of Toblerone

KylieH 04-17-2007 09:28 PM

Seven pieces of black licorice. Dear heavens, what was I thinking?????

I just wanna say, not that you should throw off completely, that with one pound to go, you deserve to have a some good fun like that sometimes. I stress the SOMEtimes, because not doing that got me back up to my current weight! LOL!!:broc:

That's how I regained 12 pounds too over the winter, actually, from my original weight loss a couple of years ago. Not eating like that every night, obviously, but a general relaxation of my good habits (and the development of a fondness for a particular triple-cream french cheese, which I would eat each night with hunks of bread and a glass of wine while cooking dinner...so delicious, so conducive to weight gain...). This is why I'm trying to eat 1800-2000 calories a day at the moment. I'm still losing, but I mostly consider myself in-training for the rest of my life. And dinner parties with extravagant food are going to be a part of the rest of my life. The trick is balancing the occasional extravagance with solid healthy eating the rest of the time...

midearthseeker 04-18-2007 10:12 AM

I STILL haven't worked out this week! Today I'm bloated and crampy and I know I need to, but I'm still groggy and unmotivated.:moo:

Bikini Dreader 04-18-2007 10:33 AM

I had 12 graham crackers with peanut butter and jam last night after dinner. I wasn't hungry. Just felt like finishing them off. Tonight - no snack after dinner. Just tea.

snowbunny2 04-18-2007 12:36 PM

Bikini, I've been drinking tea in the evenings this week to keep me from noshing, it's definitely helping.

Midearth, I'm having a tough time working out this week too! I skipped it totally on Monday, and yesterday and today I went to the gym but I was practially sleeping on the elliptical, I wonder what's up!

Oh and since this is a confession thread I had a Ben and Jerry's ice cream cone yesterday because it was free cone day! I also had a lemon poppyseed muffin that my mom gave me before leaving from visiting, but it was huge so I ate 3/4 of it and quickly tossed the rest.

ennay 04-18-2007 03:34 PM

sick today...couldnt deal with making lunch for me and dd. Did McD's drive thru...ick. At least she ate all the apples and milk, a few fries and maybe 1/3 of her burger...so mommy guilt isn't too bad. I on the other hand ate all my lunch so...

3fcuser1058250 04-18-2007 06:49 PM

snowbunny2 -- I think the laziness, for me anyways, is definitely caused by the weather... Blay weather = blah Ilene = no exercise ....

Today I had 2 pieces of Toblerone  but my calories for the day are good... I've been drinking just hot water in the evenings to keep the munchies away...

Sodiumlightbaby 04-18-2007 07:04 PM

Does hot water work for that Ilene. I do tea and that helps, but just curious on the water thing.

Not confessing eating, so far, so good today. I am confessing that I haven't been to the gym in two weeks! Ah! I was going to go at 5:30 in the morning during the week before fieldwork, but I tried it and I'm too exhausted throughout the day, I don't get home until 6:00pm, so it's a long day and fieldwork is pretty active. I do, on the other hand, have time on the weekends and I haven't been going. Sunny weather is here, no more excuses for me. Saturday I am going!

Dana

3fcuser1058250 04-18-2007 10:56 PM

Dana I drink hot water alone or with a slice of lemon sometimes, it seems to help me with the munchies at night, in my head I think it's tea I guess

srmb60 04-22-2007 10:35 AM

Vacation ... southern cooking ... beer ... lunch on the beach in Florida ... nuff said.

ennay 04-22-2007 11:17 AM

I've just been completely out of control lately ...sigh

Mudpie 04-23-2007 05:44 AM

 Darn peanuts! Sometimes I just know that something I'm keeping around from a "mini-binge" should go in the green bin (wet recyclables) and out to the curb. Oh well, now we have nothing tempting in the house and hubby's starting his diet today. Onward! :)
Dagmar

baffled111 04-25-2007 08:11 PM

Ooops. I just went to do my big grocery shop for the week, and as I was piling my cart high with vegetables and lean proteins, I started to get hungry. I gave in and ate a nasty, sugary doughnut thing, temptingly on display in the bakery aisle. It was reasonably tasty, but considering all the calories, not at all filling. I don't like to spend my calories that way.

alinnell 04-26-2007 09:46 AM

Stopped for a lottery ticket with DS yesterday and bought us each a treat. I ate a 100 Grand bar (and it was grand!). Oh well, the scale didn't move in either direction so it must not have been a horrible cheat.

srmb60 04-26-2007 02:15 PM

I've got to stop dickin' around with two scales. I use the good one at work and the crappy one here at home and of course post the lightest one. Who's kidding who?
This afternoon I weigh at work and that is the number!

michelinwoman 04-27-2007 08:18 AM

Some pound cake and some cheesecake brownie bites..does it count if you just nibble off your hubby's plate? :p

mamajones 05-11-2007 09:21 AM

This week I've only made it a point to exercise one day. Instead, I've just eliminated further calories from an already calorie restricted plan to compensate~~I guess it's okay as long as it doesn't last longer than this week. I've really got to get the exercise fever again. Maybe once I get booked with my new trainer (again~~grrr..)

Also, last night I played Bunco with the ladies & although I abstained from the drinks & snacks I DID have one brownie bite w/homemade whipped creme & a strawberry :) when the hostess was walking around offering them ~~ I can't be an ungracious guest, now can I? :)

That's all for now~
