Morning everyone!

Carobelle, have a great time in Portugal.

I'm pretty bummed this morning. I know myself too well to have done this but I did this anyway - I jumped on the scale. A hard week's virtuosity and I weigh 152.8 which is up from last Monday. My body water and fat percentages are slightly better but not much. I'm now all bent out of shape about it. Feels like i'm never going to get below 152 which is rubbish given that real goal is 130 (not the 125 on my ticker).

I'm now in the frame of mind that if carefully calorie counting doesn't produce any results then why bother, I may as well eat more and still stay the same

Carobelle, I feel just fine now, thanks for asking. Congrats on being chosen for N.Y. what a wonderful motivator.

Doughnut- don't get discouraged! Many weeks I've gotton on the scale and haven't lost a thing, butthen the next I might lose 2 lbs. Maybe your on a plateau and you need to change something. Also, if your fat percentage is better, that's what matters. Do you exercise a lot, muscle weighs more then fat. Hang in there, you've worked to hard to quit and you deserve to reach goal! We're here for ya.

Well, doing well this week so far, hoping to see 140 on the scale. Gotta watch what I'm putting in my mouth a little more though. Gym today, abs and legs.

Dana

I had a really light dinner last night (soup) and thought that the scale would reward me, but it did not. It went back up. Gotta be extra good this weekend. That will be a bit hard (perhaps). I'm going to make a chicken enchilada with spinach cream sauce recipe from Cooking Light and save it for dinner tomorrow night. I don't know what I'll fix for dinner tonight, but it will be another Cooking Light recipe. It's just those darn lunches on the weekends that get me--DH likes to do fast food.

Today as I lay in bed I felt as if my inner pooh was so confused as to why I kept having him go out in the cold to run up and down hills when all he really wants is a little honey and condensed milk.

But out I trolloped. And then came attack of the vey tired legs. I was running so slow that I think you could have walked next to me and caught up, but my legs would literally not go any faster. It creates the illusion of great cardio vascular endurance. Heck I could "run" all day like this. But I decided to quit after 35 minutes (during this time it should be noted that I covered less ground than thursday in 25 minutes. It felt like I was running in marshmallow. It looked that way too since most of the road was covered in snow.

Carobelle, when do you get to go to NY. Thant's exciting. I grew up just outside of the city. I am a long way from home both physically (in California) and culturally (I live in a tiny town of 50 people or rather outside of a little town of 50 people). I would definitely break down on the bagel thing if I was back there. With lox and cream cheese even. And the pizza is good too. That is one plus about this area the food is lousy.

Dana you are doing great on the gym thing.

Ipod ladies. I have got to go and get myself one of those groovy excecise buddies. What fun.

Allison and dougnut those scales are just miscevous little monsters. I am seriously considering packing mine up and puting it in the shed. But then I would never be able to move my little armadillo and it is so fun to creep that little guy along.

Good afternoon. Not much going on here today. I worked all night then came home and took a 3 hour nap. I got up and walked for an hour on my treadmill. We just go done eating dinner and I'll go back to sleep for another 4 hours before I go back to work tonight. Woo Hoo the excitement is just never ending around here!!
Hope everyone is having a good weekend. Talk to you later. Jane

Susan I'm sorry you've had such a bad weekend but you're really good at bouncing back so why don't you start the thread on a positive note like you usually do? Don't know about anybody else but seeing you all up and motivated at the beginning of a week puts me off on the right foot.

Well Dana thanks for your post of encouragement. Thanks to you I decided to ride it out and came in on plan even though I spent the night down the pub so that was great. Official weigh in tomorrow.

Hickerchick - I am so with you on wanting to pack away the scales but wanting to move my ticker. I may pack them away for a few weeks - I'll see what happens tomorrow.

Hi featherweights I overweight during the weekend--as usual. It gets so boring hanging around the house in the winter. I have my niece here so I've been tempted by some of her snacks, plus DH had asked for a chocolate cake from the supermarket and I got tempted for a piece (390 calories!). Its hard to stay on plan when drinking, so good for you Doughnut. To us all having a good week!
