I have awakened with a plan. Now I'm making a list and heading to the grocery.

Wow! I post last night, the second of the thread, and tomorrow we're on the second page! My my, what a chatty bunch

I don't really have anything to report, but it is nice that everyone seems on track. And I agree with SusanB about naps -- they're quite helpful.

Also, congratulations on your brown belt, Jenfrus (I thought your name was actually "Jenfrus" for a long time, I just thought it was some strange alternative to "Jennifer")! That's a pretty big deal!

This week I have five exams in three days. Two down! My goal is to not snack while I'm up late at night studying. I admit I snacked on about 2 cups of Cheerios at midnight last night! I won't do it tonight! For us ladies working hard, food does NOT make you smarter! Nor does it make stress go away! Right???

Howdy ALL!

DH bought me a present! A quarter bottle of pink champagne! Bless him! Especially since it was £10.99! I likeses my presents

Yesterday was bum eating wise for dinner! I had couscous and plantain - no protein. Then we had a pudding to finish off which was lovely, but that got me snacking on cookies and then I finished off with peanut butter on a cracker! Ah well, could've been worse! I was aware of what I was doing, and today will be all good

I'm going to get my butt to the gym today - I skived yesterday since I was tired, but today I'm still tired but I have to go otherwise I'll just be dead in the water! Must take things pretty easy though - I have the sparring part of my belt to do on Thursday (read - people hitting me). It's a small formality which I just about can't fail!

Phew. 120 minutes of exercise in the last 24 hours - I'm tired! I ate really well today and didn't snack at all.

I'm working tomorrow, so the afternoon will be hard. I tend to snack when we get home, but today I took the kids to the pool and was out of the way of temptation.

I think I'm getting into the habit of going upstairs after supper and cardio/dancing/lifting for half an hour. Not bad, not bad ...
It's not as good as a sturdy walk/jog and actual weighlifting sessions but it'll do for really cold windy days.
And I under-ate ... go figure ... me? under eating?

Hi pink pirate ... that after work snacking! It's one of my downfalls too. Diversion is a good tactic. I sometimes grab the computer and come here for a bit with water or coffee.

I'm impressed! After dinner you can usually find me in front of the TV with a book (I don't usually watch--just listen). Then it's off to bed. I should try this!

SusanB--I have a question for you.....you use a lot of TVP. Do you use the dry, unflavored type (like Bob's Red Mill) or do you use preflavored (like Morning Star Farms crumbles). If you use the dry stuff, do you flavor it any way, and if so, with what? (Okay, so it was more than one question!)

Jen--your DH certainly loves you! I only get presents on my birthday and I usually have to remind him! LOL I guess that's the difference between being married a few months versus 18 years!

Pink Pirate--that's a lot of exercise! I'm lucky to get 30 minutes in per day. I added a few things to my routine and I sure felt it yesterday. That's good!

Honeyjobear--stay away from the snacks!!

Doughnut--I love Italy. Well I love a lot of places. I haven't been there since I was 13, wow, 30 years ago! I've got to get out more often!

jblossom--good luck with your running goal.

Love-Cam--it's gotta be hard to diet with junk food around. Beware of the freshman 15. I can't wait to tell that to my DD. She'll be heading off to college in a year and a half.

sweet-talker--yes, we are chatty! But that's what makes it so much fun!

Hope I didn't forget anyone. Have a wonderful day!

Allison? I use plain from a bulk food store. I throw it in stuff and it takes on the flavours. Chili, soup .... It was cheap so I thought I'd try.

Alli - DH tends to buy me rubbish Christmas and Birthday presents! eg this year he paid for some clothes I bought in November. Then I had nothing from him on Xmas day. For this year's birthday I got a tool kit (ok so it was pink, but the quality was pretty poor!) and 3 boxes of chocolates! 3??? Oh and some bath bombs. I think that was quite good considering... Actually no last year's Xmas pressie was fantastic - Jamie Cullum tickets for a week after my birthday! So he can be hit and miss!

Jamie Cullum--that's great! He was in concert here a few weeks ago, but we didn't go see him. I've heard his music on the radio--he's good! Yeah, you're right, kind of hit and miss!!! LOL

SusanB--thanks. I've bought the Morning Star Farms crumbles and I like them and am having a really hard time finding the bulk stuff. I'll be heading to the health food store another day to see if they carry it. The other health food store that I go to more often has some stuff that MIGHT be TVP--but it isn't labeled as such, so I'm not really sure what it is. I guess I should ask.

Hi all! My goals for this week are regular sleep and exercise. Last night for the first time in days I went to bed at a normal hour and slept through, got up, did my gym cardio, and then came back for exercise. I was really depressed on the weekend...took my measurements and they're the same as in September, even tho' I feel like I look better and weigh less. Am going to try a set of isometric exercises called t-tapp that worked last time...dropped seven inches all over in 10 days from the exercises. Trouble is, they're boring. Will combine them with my lifting. Oh, and another goal is to continue to eat properly. I'm finding that Sonoma Diet Cookbook has really nice recipes that work well for me.

Fru, don't you find it's almost more fun getting presents when you don't expect them? Gives a little zip to the regular days.

Pink Pirate, no wonder you're tired. 120 min exercise is alot!

Hope everyone else is having a good day.

Susan F.

Yeah I'd rather have presents year round than just saving them up for Christmas and Birthday, spesh since they're close together for me I was really surprised! They're the best ones, the surprises! (Oh and surprises that aren't food )

alinnel -- thanks! but i'm a junior, so well past the freshmen 15! luckily i didn't gain in, but as the years go by i put on a few pounds. so now that i'm a junior in college, it's around 7! so that is what i'm trying to lose! thanks!!!

Yesterday I did really well about lunch, but then blew it at dinner! I have a late class on Mondays, so I didn't end up eating until around 10, and of course it was a little personal pizza. Uggh!

But today will be better, because I go from 9:30-5 straight with classes so I'll be too busy with everything to worry about food. I also didn't get a chance to work out yesterday, but today since I'll have more time to work out at night, which is when I like to, I will definately get motivated and do it!

On another note, Christmas and my birthday are really close together too! (5 days) So I much prefer to get presents throughout the year, it's a lot more fun!

Hope everyone has a great day! Keep focused!

Love, Love!

Good evening darlings! welcome Love Cam!

I spent a lovely afternoon with my DD ... we went for a nice little walk/window shop. And tonight I did my dance/cardio/weights for legs thing. It's a good day!
