simple question-ph 1

I just started and my book has not arrived yet. I was wondering, can we have sodium. I have been adding hot sauce to some food, and that has quite a bit of sodium. What is a good amount to have?

Can i drink soy milk??

is rice allowed in ph 1? I have been getting mixed answers, does anyone know for sure???

Also, what are some things you can eat besides fruits and veggies in phase 1?

You need to keep the sodium as low as you can as it is salt and it makes you retain water. This is the list of foods in the book for phase 1.
All fruits and veges in any quanity.
All veges in any quanity BUT white potatoes and avacados.
Beans are unlimited and good protein.
Brown rice-2 cups a day
2 cups low fat/skim or soy milk
As much water as you like
oatmeal or grits-1 cup a day
All herbs and spices
6 oz low fat yogurt (plain) 2 times a day
4 egg whites per day
2 cups of herbal tea a day
Watch your portions because that causes you to overeat.
Also add 30 minutes of aerobic activity 5 days a week
Hope this helps.:)

I just ordered the book as well but I want to get started. Could you let me know if tofu is allowed during phase 1? I am assuming it fall under beans but want to make sure I am right about.
