Newbie

:carrot: Today is day 1!! I thought it would be worse, but so far so good. Of course, my body is still probably eating off of what I shoved in my mouth yesterday! I am making brown rice tonight with beans. I have never been a big vegetable eater, so I am trying new things as well!

In the past, I have tried WW too many times to count, the carb addict diet, ear stapling among many others. I think I have ADHD when it comes to diets, I get bored very easy and fall off the wagon.

With the Fat Smash diet, I keep telling myself that I can do anything for 9 days. In doing the carb addict diet, once the cravings are gone, the diet becomes easier. It's those first few days that are killers!

I am so happy to have found this site! I need the support of others going through this! I have been unhappy with my weight for a long time! I used to say that I wanted to lose the baby weight I had gained, but my youngest is almost 7!!! I feel more determined this time, so I hope that pays off!

Thanks for welcoming me!
Julie

Good luck! I am startng day one tomorrow! What did you eat today?

I laughed at your comment that you can do anything for 9 days, my hubby was looking over the diet and asked if I thought I could stick to it, I told him if I can not commit for 9 days I should not be married...lol!

:welcome: Julie! I am working on "baby weight", too. My baby turned 16 months old today. I should have gotten this extra weight off months ago...

Anyway... We are glad you are here.

Your comment on commitment to marriage was so funny. :D

My first day food:
rice cake (whole grain) and banana for breakfast
rice cake and pear for lunch
apple and celery for late afternoon snack
a great bean soup (salsa and bean soup from another post) and brown rice for dinner with broccoli in it

It's amazing that I am actually able to write what I ate and remember it all! Could you imagine doing it before dieting!! IT would take too long! Not unbearably hungry today, but at work it's easier. My first weekend will be interesting. At least by then I will be on Day 6!!

Thanks for all of your encouraging words!
Julie
