Phase 1 question

  • I am reading my book and will start with Phase 1 on Monday....I am TOO EXCITED and so glad I found somewhere to come and have questions answered!!! I really feel like I can do this!!...my question is this is jarred salsa allowed on Phase 1 or just the fresh you make yourself?

  • Fresh salsa is best, both in flavor and nutrition. But you could eat salsa from a jar if you choose it carefully. I would try to find a good all natural brand with a short ingredient list, and not one with additives. Sodium content is also a concern with jarred salsa, so you'll need to check the label for that as well. So fresh is best, but jarred will work if you shop very carefully. Oh, and you might find fresh salsa at your supermarket in the deli or produce section. It's super easy to make, and once you make up a batch that you really like, you'll probably never go back to jarred
