Is it ok?

  • To drink flavored waters like Fruit O2 and/or Propel in Phase I? How about red potatoes?

    The book says as much water as you want, but no juice...so it feels like a shady spot. Same thing with red potatoes...they're a veggie, but the book says no white potatoes.


    DH's definitely on board with me this time (he's got to lose weight for re-enlistment, muahaha) and these are some questions I wasn't able to answer. Right now we're erring on the side of caution, but being able to drink flavored water will help the no-juice rule a lot!

  • The flavored waters should be fine. Red skinned potatoes are still white potatoes, so would not be allowed.

  • Dr. Ian said no flavored waters in his forum Q&A but I drank them anyway I got sick of drinking plain ol' water.
  • I consider any liquid that is sugar, calorie, carb and caffeine free to count as water. Juice wouldn't count because it has cals, carbs and sugar. But the sugarless, calorie-free mix ins should be ok.
