Unhappy Good luck everyone... I am stopping detox.

Well, I made it through 3 full days of detox and realize it just isn't for me. I found myself at the grocery store almost every day buying things for my husband and I so I could cook special things for us for the 9 days.. .I am way over my grocery budget and don't see how I can go for 6 more days. I do, however, have a pantry full of beans and brown rice I will figure how to use up. I guess now that I have more of an idea about what all detox is, I can plan better for it next time. I just HATE to give up after 3 days, makes me feel like more of a loser that what I already feel.

Good luck to you all.

Dana, you are NOT a loser. This diet is crazy for sure and hard to stick to. I did EFS and surprised myself that I made it to the end. I was also going to the grocery store almost daily because of the requirements.

Maybe you can go to phase 2 that's more sensible?
You can consider buying big bags of frozen vegs that aren't as expensive. Heck you already have the rice and beans!

Good luck in whatever you chose and please don't feel like a failure. This is one tough diet to stick to. Kudos to you for giving it a try. Most people run the other way when I try to explain the Fat Smash to them because they don't even want to THINK about making any sort of weight loss commitment, especially one as hard as this one.

So sad to see you go.

Maybe you can start up again soon. What I did was I planned a menu (Bkfast, Lunch, dinner plus snack) for the entire 9 days. I gathered recipies and everything and took a look at what ingredients I needed. My son eats alot of fruits and veggies so I only had to buy him a few frozen dinners and ravioli type things.

I went to the grocery store with a list and stocked up on everything. I haven't gone back to the store once. So maybe thats the trick, it's all in the planning.

And you are not a loser.

Thank you both for your encouraging words! It really meant a lot to me. I was thinking of skipping ahead to phase 2. I know its a lifestyle change and if I want it bad enough, I will do what it takes. I am going to go re-read phase 2 of the book.

Thank you both again!!

Thank you Lexi! I woke up this morning and had a yogurt. Then for lunch I made a pot of kidney beans, black beans, tomatoes with chili, stewed tomatoes and corn. I had a bowl for lunch and my water. I did break down and have a tiny tiny bit of cheese on top. I just don't know what I will do tomorrow when we take the kids to the amusement park. But I will cross that bridge when i get there.

Hope you are having a GREAT day!

Yay, Dana!

Stay with us!

Lexi is so right on..phase II is still WAY healthy....plan the way Fierliss does.

It doesn't have to be "all or nothing"...

A tiny bit of cheese on top of something isn't a big deal or reason to quit.

Hang with us!

Wink How bad do you want it?

Everyone back slide every now and again. That's no reason to give up, I had a couple pieces of Sesame chicken yesterday. I just could not resist my kids had Chinese for dinner while I ate mixed veggies. I don't think its going to hurt you as long as your exercising. I know you are going to be fine. I am on day four and I can't wait until phase 2.

Good look and remember it takes work to get what you want! :
