Extreme Fat Smash ??????

Hi all. I am currently on day 1 of EFS and am a little worried about how little calories I will be consuming today....only about 500 calories! Is that normal? I am following the diet menu they have published in Womans World until I receive my book. Any input would be greatly appreciated:)

TIA
Tabitha

Hey,
I am on day three of EFS and the calories do seem extremely low, but I found that I have yet to feel hungry or lightheaded. Even with all of the exercise that it requires I still am feeling ok. I think that it gets better as you go along in the program, or at least I hope so :)
Also, I have the book, so if you have any questions until you get yours I will be happy to help! Good Luck!

Don't worry! After day 3 and into the following weeks more food is added. Week 1 is just a detox/jump start week and as long as you're doing the exercise and and moving on to the next cycle you should be ok. If you're hungry, don't forget you're allowed snacks! I felt really weak when working out the first week and realized that I needed to eat one of the snacks before and then after working out and that helped.

Thanks for the tip! Where are u in the cycles?

From your info it seems that I have similar weight loss goals to you, and I would love to know what your progress has been so far as a motivator for myself! :) Thanks so much!

I started the first week of May, so I've repeated the rotation a couple of times. I was a regular exerciser before, so it's been mainly a change in eating patterns for me. I did really well the first rotation, losing about 8 pounds, and then slowed down in my weight loss, partly due to being unable to exercise for three weeks (flu and ankle injury, not lack of time). I've been plateauing for the last two weeks, so I'm feeling a little frustrated. This is the weight I've stuck at before, so I know it's not EFS, it's just my body fighting a set-point and if just keep working at it, eventually the scale will start moving again. I am really used to this way of eating now though, I don't feel quite as deprived any more and I feel pretty good and energetic. I am really sick of brown rice though!! :p

Best of luck to you!

What is the difference between the Fat Smash and the EXTREME? Ha. It can't be that much! I am doing the FS diet and I started on June 11th and to date I have lost 14 lbs! The energy I have gained since starting is amazing! I love it! =) It's really not hard to stick to it. I wouldn't call it so much a diet as it is a reconstruction. It's teaching you the way you are [B]supposed to eat.

The basis of the Extreme Fat Smash Diet is a three week rotation. The first week (or cycle, as he refers to them) is the strictest; the second week allows you to add back some of the fruits, bread and peanut butter that weren’t allowed the first week. The third cycle allows a little more freedom, but you still must stick to the plan as it has been designed.

At the end of the third cycle you have the option to move onto the maintenance phase where you can eat sensibly for life or you can return to cycle one and repeat the rotation to lose more weight. The only rule in the Extreme Fat Smash Diet is that you can’t do the same cycle two weeks in a row. It is important to keep tricking your body and switching things up to burn more metabolism and lose more weight.

The meals are simple and repetitive throughout the cycles. The snack list is extensive and offers a variety of choices, including fruits, popcorn, chocolate and more. Extreme Fat Smash also includes 75 recipes that are simple and require minimal ingredients. There’s no need to make complicated meals or buy things you’ll only use once. The meals are realistic for people with busy lifestyles.

The Extreme Fat Smash Diet is also filled with daily meal plans and coordinating journal pages to track your progress and it is sprinkled with tips from Dr. Ian about weight loss and making healthier choices.

Quiltz, I second the "sick of brown rice" comment. I've learned to like it, but now I'm tired of eating it!!!

I've completed cycle 1 of extreme. I lost 8 lbs my first week. The first day I did feel a little hungry but once I started adding in the fiber, I stayed full. It's not that hard to do. Remember to drink plenty of fluids and eat every 3 hours.

GoalDown50 07-23-2007 10:38 AM

i tried the success southwest chipotle as well...i mixed it in with some tomato sauce and soyless meatless ground beef and stuffed green peppers with it...it was delicious...my fiance and his mother even liked it!
