Smashing Day's One through Five! Updated!
Ok...I really wanted to do this & seriously thought I could handle it, but I didn't do so well on my first day. I under estimated my food intake & felt like I was starving most of the day. I was so hungry that I cheated & I feel pretty crappy about that. I'm my worst critic. I just thought I could get through the first day without problems.
Tomorrow will be a better day. Now, I have a much better idea of how far the food will go through out the day. I also need to eat hearty first thing in the morning with the oatmeal, milk & fruit. I only snacked a bit this morning on watermelon. Bad choice! It's all water! Does it get easier as the days pass? I really need the encouragement that it will get better. Eight more days seem like an eternity away. |
Dont give up or get discouraged on the first day. You still "cut down" so you still succeeded!!
Hang in there. |
Don't be discouraged. On my 1st day, I ate 4 snacks over my 2 snack limit. It's going to be difficult in the beginning, but it definitely gets easier with time and once the weight starts coming off that'll be motivation to do the right thing.....and just like DJ88 said, cutting down, even a little bit, is a step in the right direction. Every little bit helps.

I cheated on my first day too! That first day was SOOO hard for me, I was hungry all day and I had MAD cravings, I guess my body was more addicted to sugar then I thought it was. At the end of day one I had 5 chips ahoy chocolate chip cookies and a glass of milk for dinner!
But, I didn't beat myself up over it though, I just woke up the next morning and started again. Now I'm on day 9 of phase 1 and I'm never hungry and the cravings are gone. I feel great, I have more energy, and I just generally feel really good about what I'm putting in my body. It doesn't even feel like I've been doing this for 9 days, so yes, it does get easier! |
Thanks Guys! I'm on Day 4 now & it's going so much better. I'm still craving a bit here & there, but it's mainly for meat (oddly enough). I find that I'm not nearly as hungry as I was the first day & overall, it's been pretty good. I haven't been so good at the exercize part. Tonight will be twice since Tuesday. It's just hard for me to get 5 days in with my wacky schedule. I'll do my best though.
Did anyone find that they were more sluggish at night time? I'm finding that 9pm hits & I'm exhausted. Not sure why since nothing else has changed but my diet. I also got on the scale (I know, shame shame) & I lost 3 pounds so far. Not too shabby for 4 days. Thanks again for your encouragement! |
OMG...I'm super excited! I know I shouldn't weigh in but my curious mind always gets the best of me. This morning, I weighed in at 198.4! I started on Tuesday weighing 205! I'm just shocked & so excited knowing that it's actually working. Hopefully I'll drop a few more before detox is over!

That's great progress! :carrot:

It is a great program!!!

Thanks Guys! I weighed in again this morning & lost another pound. That's 8.5 pounds in 6 days. I know it's all water but I think it's pretty impressive. And I can't wait to see meat & cereal again!
