Brown rice is good for you. It's loaded with fiber and nutrients, including protein, and helps keep you full. The good carbs keep your energy up and help you feel better
When I followed phase 1, I ate the full 2 cups of brown rice every day, along with a cup of oatmeal, loads of veggies, and everything else on the list. It came to around 1300 cal per day and I lost 6 pounds

As far as I know, everyone that has done this has lost weight.
