Default Is too late for dinner? (Eating later in the day)

I'm on day 11 of the fat smash, and it has been great so far. It's completely broken me of my late night snacking (which in the past was mostly junk food) among many other bad habits. However I wonder if I might be focusing too much on not eating late in the day.

During the day I have no problem keeping up the schedule of eating every 2-3 hours, but in the evenings I run into trouble. Often I have errands or plans after work that keep me from having dinner (or meal 5) at a regular time. Sometime it's 9pm before I have dinner made. The upside is I'm not starving by the time I have dinner, but I worried I might be eating too late in the day, or there is too long a gap between meal 4 and 5. I usually go to bed around midnight so I don't think I'm in danger of eating too close to bed, but I curious if you guys have any thoughts on that.

I loosely follow this schedule:
Meal 1 - 9am (breakfast)
Meal 2 - 11am (snack)
Meal 3 - 1pm (lunch)
Meal 4 - 3-4pm (snack)
Meal 5 - 8-9pm (dinner)

Usually I don't have an evening snack unless I manage to have dinner by like 7pm, then the snack has only been some fresh fruit.

Anyway I'd appreciate any thoughts you think might be helpful. Thanks!

Hi,
I am on day 12 of fat smashers and loving it. I have been reading a lot of posts but not writing myself, but,anywho...
I have been doing a lot of research about night eating, because that is my worst time. I found something on-line that talked about sumo wrestlers. They said that they started eating all their food after 8pm and that is how they can pack on all their "blubbery" weight, by eating after 8 pm. I am not sure why that was the magic number, but it was mentioned. I will try to find it again and post the link.
I have stopped eating after 8pm, anyways. It was good practice for me. I want to say bye to my blubber! I have lost 13.5 pounds in 12 days and feeling great- hope this was a little helpful?! best of luck!!!!!

How in the world did you lose 13.5 pounds in 12 days?! That's amazing!! I'm on day 17 and have only lost 5 pounds. The sad part is....I haven't cheated one single time. The thought of cheating doesn't even enter my mind. With that said however.....I hate exercising. I ordered Harvey's Boot Camp DVD and just received it yesterday. I could only get through 15 minutes before I had to quit. Please tell me how you did it.

I have lost 13 in 2 weeks, but I have not cheated and I exercise by walking 2xs a day and going to curves 3xs a week and the other 4 days I *try* to do situps...lol.
