Good Morning Smashers!
Well.. it is not even 5 AM yet and I am awake!! UGH! Dh woke me up asking if we had any medicine for an upset stomach. Poor guy. Of course, we don't. So.. he had to suffer. He went off FS and ate a couple of hot dogs and I don't even know what else yesterday. Looks like he is paying for it. Day 5 for me! I am so pleased with myself. I haven't cheated once. I haven't even had the urge to cheat. The real test is now that dh is home... will I be tempted to eat off plan?? I don't think so!! I haven't gotten to day 5.. just to blow it now. I am in this for the long haul! I am going to make some veggie chili today. Tomorrow is grocery day. Thank goodness! lol. I hate to get to the end of the week and run out of everything. But, that is how it goes when you buy groceries once a week. ;) Especially when alot of it is fresh produce. Tinky~ Hey! Good luck with your dinner Sunday. Taking some of your own food is a good plan. You may also want to eat a little something before you go. That way you won't be so hungry and tempted to cheat. It's good that your future inlaws are so supportive of you. Your puppy sounds fun. We have talked about getting one for Joshua... but I'm not ready to take care of a dog yet. Well here I am on Day 4! Woohooo!!! The boyfriend tortured me when he took me to Sam's Club. He bought Pizza for dinner. Man did it smell goood!!!! I could of killed him, since I said that I craved a pizza from our favorite pizza joint across from our place. He was testing my will power. I wanted to take the box of Boca burgers that we bought and smack him in the head with it! LOL Well it was also hard to sit there and eat my dinner of brown rice, and spinach. While he ate 1/2, yes 1/2 a pizza!!!!!!!! It made me sick! Well I didn't cheat once, though that pepperoni was really close to my plate.

Tinky~ Good job resisting the pizza!!! That is my #1 weakness! Dh knows better than to bring a pizza into this house. I would be very upset. But.. he doesn't do anything to make it harder on me. He is very supportive. He lost over 50 lbs on Fat Smash last year. So, he knows how difficult it is. :)

Good Morning Ladies! Good job Tink on resisting. Sams/Costco makes fabulous pizza! It would be hard for me to resist. But, I'm sure you know the benefits to eating healthy and you stuck with it. WTG!
So, I'm all kinds of stoked about going to the docs and using their scale. I truly feel like I've had a substantial loss and am anxious to see it. I bought one of those cheapie scales from wal-mart and the stupid things is a piece of crapola. I guess in some things, you get what you pay for, right? I'm weighing myself before we leave on my scale, then weighing myself there asap. That way I know how much, if any my scale is off. I kinda hope to see some magical number, but I know its unrealistical. Ah well. We'll see. Have a fantastic day everyone! Sherry!! COngrats on making it to day 5 without a slip. Fantastic job! |
Thanks everyone for the support. Yesterday didn't get any better - I stopped on the way home and got a dble cheeseburge w/ onion rings! I don't even eat beef! I quit eating it last summer! Can you believe that? I must have eaten 3000 calories yesterday along with the million I ate the day before. I woke up this morning feeling a bit more calm, less anxious and am on track. There is no crappy food left in the house I am going to be busy tonight until after 9 pm so I won't be tempted. Today will officially begin my detox, AGAIN. Thats good because I have to go to a friends black tie wedding
next weekend so I am skipping the weigh in this week and just praying that next Fri I will still be somewhere near 139 still :) I just can't get back to the 140s...I won't let myself!!! Angihas2 - It feels great to weigh at the docs office because I love it when they tell me how much I have lost since the last visit. Plus as the months/years go on, I always like to look at my weight and see how far I have come on the weight chart. I just checked mine last month from 2003 and it was quite up and down but mostly up until now. I forgot to mention to Linda - welcome back! We have missed you! Sherry & Tinky - you guys are kicking butt! Congrats for staying on track and resisting all that evil food :) Good luck to everyone this week/weekend and stay strong. I'm on day 3, phase 1, 3lb lost so far!!!:carrot: Gotta love this diet!!!! Easy going so far, back to eating tons and tons of fruit, FAB!!! Todays menu b strawberry & banana smoothie s cherries l vegetable soup s carrots & lf yog dip d porridge & lf yoghurt s strawberry & banana smoothie Oh oh, now I'm thinking about pizza!!!!!yummy!!! I'm away from home for two nights on my own this weekend as I'm flying down to London to go to a weight loss seminar by Paul McKenna. You probably won't know him, but he is a famous hypnotist who has written a weight loss book called ' I can make you thin'. He basically emphasises healthy eating and portion control, but he also teaches tapping methods which are supposed to eliminate cravings!! I'm not sure if I believe it, but I am trying to go with an open mind and give it my best shot!!! I really want it to work, as I just get pretty stressed by food choices and it would be fabulous to be more relaxed about food! So I'll be eating in restaurants and will probably add some lean meat into my meals when necessary:devil: . So, I suppose I'm on phase 1.5 for Friday, Saturday and maybe Sunday!! I guess its good practise for phase 2!!! I probably won't be back on here until Monday, when I'll fill you in on the details and let you know how I did! Hopefully I'll still be in control of my eating when I get back;) !!! Wish me luck everyone!! Keep smashing!! |

I haven't been on much today.. Dh is home.. and even though I love it when he is here.. he hogs the computer! lol. But, it's a small sacrifice to have him here with us. :) I know I should do personals.. but I am BEAT! I can barely keep my eyes open. Just wanted to say "good night" to you all. Finished my second try at phase 1 yesterday. It felt so good to have a bowl of cereal this morning. I was kind of getting sick of oatmeal. I hope phase II treats me well. My house has been plagued with pizza and cookies the past few days. I avoid it, but it smells yummy. But I have to do this for me! I will not fail again.

Hey everyone,
I figured I'd jump right in... I jsut started Fatsmash today, day one phase one. I have to say the no coffee is the hardest thing. I am totally addicted to caffine. but its good for me to try and break the addiction. I hope it get easier.... I've been on Weight watchers for a while a really long while, 2 years I think. I've lost a lot and enjoy the meetings and the weigh ins but lately I just havn't been sticking to the program so I figured I'd check out the fatsmash. it fits into the core program at WW pretty well. Of course the detox is something they dont' do there but I think its just what i need. hope everyone has a great weekend. I'll check in soon. and I pray the coffee thing gets better tomorrow. How is everyone's weekend going? This is the hardest time for me. Dh is home and he is a GREAT cook.. lol. I am on day 6 of phase 1. So far so good. I went today and restocked my pantry with FS friendly foods. I weigh in on Tuesday. I hope I have atleast lost 6 lbs. That is what I lost on my first detox. I will write more later... Joshua isn't liking me on the computer. He isn't feeling real well tonight. Don't know what the problem is. I will be so glad when he can talk.. so he can tell me. :) Talk to y'all later, Sherry |

Hey guys...Happy Friday to all! I've been pretty good today and yesterday. I'm on day 5. So far so good....I'm craving "evil" food, but have been controlling myself. LOL Its hard, but I gotta do it! I'm going to the Grocery store to stock up on some more supplies!

I totally failed day 1 of phase II. I swear, the pizza my brother had smelled so good. I picked off a little bit of cheese. Before I knew it, I inhaled 3 slices. Oy, I feel so bad. I'm considering just staying on phase I for a while. It seemed as though I had more control at that phase.
