P1 - Store bought lunches - suggestions please
Soooo we did great at the start of the New Year on the diet and have fallen off track.
We are going to start Phase 1 again next Wed. I found the most time consuming and demotivator was having to do so much cooking (I enjoy cooking dinner, but it's too much with cooking breakfast, lunch and dinner in a small kitchen). Anyone have suggested on store bought lunches that you used and still had success on P1 ??? Thanks so ton! :D |
How about preassembled salads? Even my local wal-mart<nowhere kentucky>, has HUGE salads, individually served and ready to go, they're over in the deli section. I just take off the meat, cheese and pass on the dressing. Yogurts are sold in individual containers, as is fruits and veggies, already washed, and ready to go, I just rinse the fruit really well, since its in its own juices, not a bad thing, just extra natural sugar.

Hi -
I measure out grapes in the mornings and have them ready to go in bags & do the same w/ strawberries & fresh pineapple & 1/4 xc soy nuts which covers my snacks &/or part of lunch. In the mornings while I am waiting on my oatmeal to cook, I cook broccoli and the boil in bags of brown rice which only take about 15 min. I can put that stuff on while I am getting ready and it doesn't take too much time. I also like to take brown rice cakes & keep them w/ me at work to snack on. My local store has a sushi area where they make homemade veggie california rolls w/ brown rice (they have carrots & cucumbers in them). I just take out the avocado in those and they are very filling. Good luck! Lem |
If you have a wendys by you try getting a side salad. it is only a dollar and has lettuce tomatoes and carrots.
