Hi All!

I ordered the book and am gearing up to start SMASHING on Jan 1st...anyone here interested in SMASHING support...especially for Phase 1?

I have wandered through a lot of the threads on this diet and it seems really promising! Can't wait to get SMASHED with all of you!

Happy New Butt (I mean YEAR!) 2007 :carrot:

Hi hulakitty~ WELCOME! This is a great group for support. I am going to be starting phase one again.. due to a little too much Christmas cheer.. so to speak. It is nice that we can go back to detox and get back on track! Good luck to you!

I'm in!

I was thinking I should just jump right in there but I think I will be more successful if I plan a little and stock the house with fruits and veggies. So I will be starting Phase 1 on Jan. 1. right along with you. I have had the book now for about a month and a half, but have been on trips and with thanksgiving and christmas. It has been just too much.

Good luck! I look forward to surviving the first 9 days with you!

Hulakitty,

I just noticed that we are almost the same weight, I am 220 and want to get down to 145. So we should be on the same path together for a while! We are having people over for New Years Eve. So I have to plan ahead and get everything I need for the party and for the next day all at the same time. I can not wait to get this weight moving, it has been far too long.

Glad we are doing this togther!

Me Too!

After enjoying the Holiday food very much, I'm going back on Detox starting tomorrow. My aunt is going to do this with me as well. I hope to lose 7 pounds on Detox. I have a conference to go to the week of Jan. 15th, and I want to be down 10 pounds at least.

Me Too!

I've had my book for about 2 weeks I did a test run for about 4 days to see how I would feel & I did pretty good. I cleaned out all the crap in my cabinets & I'm excited to go all the way. Thanks everyone for the recipes I think they will be a big help. Jan. 1st!!!

I am also starting on January 1st! What better time to start. I look forward to this SUCCESSFUL journey to weight loss with all of you! I am a BIG fan of Celebrity Fit Club, have you all watched Dr. Ian on it? I dabbled with this diet a few months ago and had success while I stayed faithful to it. As Dr. Ian says, when you cheat, you are only cheating yourself! Diets don't fail people, people fail diets, yada yada yada. Here's to a new year, and to a new us! My goal is 25 pounds. I'm off to the market to get ready!

Hi all! and HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I got up and had my oatmeal and some apple and orange. and I weighed myself, and the my scale that has worked great for so long has chosen today to die!

Kitty-- COOKIES!? YUM! I have to check that one out. oatmeal is such a wonderful and versital thing. I am going to spend the morning cutting up veggies and cooking a stash of rice, hard boiled eggs, and various beans. so they are ready to eat. we had a new years eve party last night. We had (among the other chips, dips, and chex mixes.) alot of fruit, two fresh pinapples, wow were they good. and some kiwi, and some real good oranges, anyway, it was nice to wake up to them all cut up in left overs so all I had to do was eat them this morning.

Ok. question, how is everybody planning to handle meals with family. I mean husbands, kids.. at home, are you going to try to cook meals that you can all eat or will you fix them something and then fix your own stuff.

So here we go Kitty, Welcome Missqt, MzNecee, and Jami2007, and I hope Goldenlover and Sherry have lots of tips for us so we can get where they are!

can't wait til Jan 9!!
Lettie

Hello again everyone! Well here we are, day 1! So far, so good. It's only been 12 hours, but I'm feeling pumped! New year, new me. This morning I tried one of the smoothie recipes and one of the pancake recipes, definitely yummy and I feel satisfied. I am now off to one of my favorite ways to exercise, Nia! Has anyone heard of it? I may start a whole new thread somewhere on this site when I've had the time to play around. It is a fusion of 9 different movement forms, 3 each from martial arts, dance, and healing arts, including tae kwan do, aikido, tai chi, modern, jazz and duncan dance, and yoga among a couple of others. It is done barefoot and to all different types of music, and you can attain belts (white, blue, brown and black), just as in karate and other martial arts. I may go for my white belt this April, but first, I want to shed 25 pounds! I think I can I think I can....

HI Smashers!

Happy 2007. I didn't overindulged in alcohol, but did stay up waaaayyy too late. So my day started around noon with oatmeal, banana & blueberries. I am going to make the corn salad for dinner I think (sounds very yummy). I am going to bake the oatmeal cookies later for tomorrow's breakfast. I am going to make the kids eat them too! They may not be liking mommy's new diet!

Oh, and I am HIDING the scale! I find that I focus too much on it and if its not going well, I just talk myself outta continuing.

Does anyone do the Fitday Food Journal online? I signed up (its free) and it looks pretty cool!

Getting on the elliptical later & try for at least 30 min and maybe some pilates later.

Happy SMASHING!
Paige
