Grandmother over 60 - would like support of other grand mother

Hi, I am a grandmother of 8 and would like to communicate with other grandmothers who have weigh to lose. I should be stuffy about age bracket.
But, it seems I might have more in common with ladies my age. I am a Christian and very active in my church.
Thank you
Joan Fay

Hi Joan Fay

Hope you find some other grandmothers or people your age. I don't qualify but want to welcome you.

Let me encourage you though to consider branching out... personally I find so much support and encouragement here from people of ALL ages and weights!

Hello and welcome Joan Fay

Grandmother over 60

Hi,
Thank you for your answer and yes, I do need to be in touch with all ages.
Unfortunately I didn't edit my message. It didn't come out quite right.
Oh well - I do appreciate your feed back. I was a part of e fat chicks some time ago and did get to know some very nice ladies. I don't see any of the ones I used to communicate with.

My mother passed away in April - but is has been a roller coaster ride since January. My sis and I are coping - but we do have our down days.
I did put on weight plus plus and feel like a slug- a -bed. So support from anyone would be great.
Thanks and God Bless

Hi, I am 57, mom of 10 and grandma of almost 6. I have about 50lb to lose and could use any help as I am on prednisone. I wrote in the thread about those kinds of problems and no one answered. I do bodyflex, lots of gardening and am trying to do IE. In Christ, Carol

I had to do a year of prednisone ( nasty little drug!!!!) anyway , I am 41 mother to 7 soon to be grandma to number 3 grandchild. I had a hard time with weight gain and that pill , I pray that you can lose some weight while on it.
Take care now .

Prednisone

I have never taken prednisone - but I seen people who do have to take it.
Yes, for all the good it can do it has some interesting side effects.
Do the best that you can. It's not easy.

Thanks, everyone. I guess support is so important. There is very little out there in the way of support for people taking prednisone long term........life maybe. There is one good book and that lady was kind of famous, a flute player. She had wonderful discipline when it came to eating. She only took it for a year. Guess I have always enjoyed food too much.
