Saturday
HI GALS  :coffee:
It is 8:30 Saturday morning here in :flow2: SUNNY CALIFORNIA...BOY did we have a lot of :rain: for us this week. We sure needed it though...now if it only dries out so Ron and I can mow the grass...he sure is hoping so, he needs $$$ for the movies with his buddy...maybe I can float him some ;) . Angie and I are going to the Doggy bath place today with the puppies...she is out in the garage now cleaning up their blankets and bedding from this week's MUD....we have been able to fence them out of most of the area that is dirt, but last week-end while we were at the street fair and didn't "PLAN" enough for the rain....well, let's just say THEY HAD FUN!! I gave them the entire grass area of the yard yesterday while we were at work, they were getting cabin fever with the rain...all they had was a 8'X8' spot in the garage with beds and...out the doggie door to a 20'X20' concrete area with a couple of sand boxes I made for them....they are used to having about half the yard to run and jump in the flower beds...(WELL THERE USED TO BE FLOWERS IN THEM!!) aahhh-puppies! How did they repay me? THEY ATE 2 SPRINKLER HEADS!! and tore 3' of PVC pipe outy of the ground..."PUPPIES FOR SALE...PUPPIES FOR SALE...CHEAP!" Maybe if we get them real clean we can make a sale  ...it is gonna rain next week though so we are probably just wasting our time...but then that is Ron's reasoning on bathing...WHY do I need a bath Uncle Gary, I'm just gonna get dirty tomorrow anyway? :dizzy: Ryan went to the local high school football game last night between his/my alma mater and the school he is student teaching at now...we were ranked 2 in the county and them 3...no more, they won 21-7...but there was a stabbing in the parking lot ...so there was a LITTLE EXCITEMENT. Darn kids and gangs, what is gonna happen to our youth! We have lost 4 kids in our area in the last few months to shootings alone, let alone FAST driving and racing. My step-D's homecoming (the cross town high school) is next week...she has a date! for the first time for a dance...at least here the kids go in groups to the dances boys and girls...no need for a date which is way cool as far as I am concerned! Our kids never missed a homecoming or other dance they wanted to go to because of a date...heck my kids and step-d have gone out to eat all dressed up to nice places in groups of 10 or more, and no one had a date. Of course it was always a little more special when they did...had to have one for the junior and senior proms! SUE :hb: :bravo: :hat:  :gift: :cheer: HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! How have you been? SUNNY Thanks for remembering and looking up the birthdays for us! Something I would never remember to do! Shoot it takes me an hour just to type these posts!! SLOW!! and BOY does my finger get sore ;) Have been praying for Peggy even though I didn't post. Sounds like you and Joe had a great week-end relaxing last week. MICHELE VIVA LAS VEGAS! maybe you should take Bunna up on her offer ;) you know... a second opinion :D The flowers were sweet. Sounds like a nice guy....but....I KNOW, MIND MY OWN BUSINESS!!! seems a little fast that he wants to come and meet you, all the way from Nevada to Minnesota, in such a short time...your a big girl...JUST BE CAREFUL!!!! man! I just have to "father" all my girls!! BUNNA I love Las Vegas, angie and I have gone 2 of the last 3 years around her spring break for Easter. Pretty cheap then, we have stayed the last 2 times at the Luxor but will stay somplace else next time we go...for a change. We have stayed at the Excalibar before with high school cross country teams...our son and his high school cross country team had a race in Las Vegas 4 years in a row. LOVE the buffet there! all I could eat at a reasonable price...plus the room (BED) was close...win-win...eat-nap!! Speaking of drag racing...ever hear of Carlsbad raceway? Just a couple of miles from me...growing up we used to go all the time to watch the races, used to love the funny cars! My dad would take us 4 kids and my uncle (dad's brother) would take my 3 cousins...spend all day!! They still have some races there...but I think they are closing it down. Sounds like the kids (may be out by now ;) ). Enjoy your VEGAS!! MAKY Ya coulda looked up SAMI while in INDY ;) Recognizing your problems (with a clear head) is the first step towards fixing situations..good luck dear. Sounds like "MOM" did her job raising DD...all unpacked and nothing to do...ahhh, shucks! GO SHOPPING!!! SAMI WHERE YOU AT? WILMA How is the cabinet work going? Sounds like you are having a pretty ggod time in detetion..family missing you yet...stay away from the tough girls ;) Is the DS working for an electrical, as in construction company or for the city/county? Either way..he's WORKING MOM...YES!! SPROUT How are the kids doing? You? MILES still coming!! great job!! ANGIE-WANGIE Good to see you from time to time. Stay. TEEL Get some sleep girl!! Goodness. I hope you are feeling better. How is the weather over there today? Is it always a little gloomy or is that just in the movies? Love the different expressions "YOU PEOPLE" have...hard for me to understand the english movies though, always asking my wife "WHAT DID THEY SAY?" I'm a little slow ;) ...OK a LOT!! Well gals off to bath the puppies. ANGIE has her website up...not sure if I can post it here but I will try. For those that don't know me..I have been here almost 2 years before my wife started this little side business...I am not trying to solicit business here and don't want in any way to jepordize my relationship on 3FC...but if I can post it and you can share with your friends her site I know she would appreciate any feed back on her comments page...thanks gals!! Here it is: www.fitnessmadesimple.net |
Hi All!
It's a dreary Sunday afternoon here in Winnipeg. It's been such a gloomy summer and with winter around the corner it won't get any better. I would love to see the sun again!!
I had a fun evening with coworkers. We went out for dinner and then went to see Shall We Dance. Loved it! Did you know it was filmed here in Winnipeg. We're very proud of that fact. One of my coworkers was an extra in it and wanted to see it with us. Fun!! Other than that my DH says I'm living and breathing my kitchen reno. I try not to talk about it too much but I can't help myself. I'm so excited that it will be a reality. Gary: I checked out Angie's site for a few minutes and know I will spend more time there. My DS is working for a private company and is loving it. He's doing mostly grunt work but how else will he learn right? He's worked at a number to different places, malls, penitentary, outdoor parking lots, etc. He's pretty sure this is what he wants to do. Well, gotta go. I think DH is wanting to do something. |
Sue, Happy Belated Birthday Wishes!!!! :balloons: Did you enjoy your day?

http://p.webshots.com/ProThumbs/20/4...llpaper280.jpg Good Monday Morning CER's ~ *~*~* Joe & I did allot over the weekend (again): Saturday... we went out to breakfast with our pals, Mike & Peggy, and then grocery shopped as usual. Then I came home around 10:30 and Joe went to sing for a Memorial Mass at church. He got home at around 1:00 and then we went to the New *SAM'S CLUB* that just opened with Mike, Peg and their daughter, Lisa... what a great day shopping and looking at all the new things! Then we all went to dinner together and played video games on this BIG SCREEN at the restaurant - so much fun! Anyone in the restaurant could play for FREE --- trivia games... and I came in 5th from about 15 people playing (cool beans). We were there for about 3 hours :cp: Then we went to Wal-Mart to walk off dinner... we were exhausted when we got home at around 8:00pm! A very long day! We left the house at 7:45am that day and got home at 8:00pm. Sunday after church... we went to breakfast with Mike & Peggy and then just came home and chilled out for a bit. Well, we were not gonna do any work, but when I came into my office yesterday afternoon to check my computer --- what a stench!!!!:p!!! Something was rotting near the vent in my office. So poor Joe had to go under the house and there he found a mole DEAD in the vent near my room under the house and it was warm enough yesterday to make it begin to smell... it will not go away! Joe has tried everything. And this smell is terrible! Noooo, awful!!!! It's gonna take a long time for it to go away I think. Good thing he went under the house though, cuz he found allot of holes that many animals (mice, moles & chipmunks) chewed and had to tape them up again. Why don't these mobile home manufacturers incase these vents when they build these homes! Joe says that it is going to be a project he will have to do next Spring & Summer now. We have too many animals around here to leave the vents exposed like that. I have to leave my window open a bit so I am able to come in here and play on the computer :o :stars: *~*~* Hi Wilma ~ I am so very sorry to hear that you have had a season without allot of sun... I must say, I am so very grateful for all the sun we have had here this year... much better then in past years. I know how you must feel...when it's gloomy (like today here for us) I fight the want to sleep all day :^: But our weekend was beautiful, so I have no room to complain. I pray that the weather continues to be mild till after Thanksgiving! We hope to travel and see my family in Maine that week. Sounds like you had such a good weekend with your friends. Good for you ;) I will have to go see that movie for sure now :D Gary ~ I went to Angie's site too... what a beautiful, clean and easy site to look through. I am a fan of yellow to begin with and so I felt it to be easy on the eyes right away. I will go back later and check out some of her links later. Great Job Angie!!!!! :bravo: Sue ~ I do hope that you had a great birthday & that you will check in when you get a chance... we all miss you here and the newbie's haven't had the chance to get to know a great person ;) Hello's to all the MIA's today!!!! Sami, Sue, Sprout, Sherry, Angie-Wangie, Teel, On-my-weigh, Dalemarie, Lakegirl, Frugalchick, Kitten, Dawniebee, MKay & Michele... hope you all are doing well. *~*~* Well, I am going to catch up with my housework and laundry... never finished what I started last week :dizzy: Our weather this weekend was beautiful!!!! Sure hope you all had a great weekend too! I am plum tuckered out myself... looking forward to staying home and just catching up with household chores :smug: (((Hugs))) SunnyD <>< *~*~*~*~*~*~*~* |
My pal, Peggy
*~*~* Just wanted you all to know how Thankful I am for all your prayers for my pal, Peggy. She has not heard from her Dr. yet, but he is my Dr. too and if there was something for her to be concerned over he would have called her by now. She is feeling very relieved that it's nothing serious and that her Dr. is now watching out for her like he is - knowing her family history. Thank you again! (((Hugs))) :grouphug: Donna <>< *~*~*~*~*~*~* |
Okaaaaaay... where did everybody go  |
I am here!!

Me Too!
I'm only here physically...mentally, I'm not in a good spirit today or last night for that matter either. I came home from IN first and DH came home from whatever about an hour later. An hour after that and we weren't talking again. I'm so tired of all of this crap. I'm not on my anti-depressant and boy oh boy, the "real" emotions, and feelings are like raw nerves. I am hanging on to anger, anger, anger, resentment, feelings of neglect and I just want someone to enjoy me and who would "want" to hang out with me. UGH! Probably hormones too. Sorry...
I had a great time in IN. My sister's house is cute as a button. We shopped and got bargins an JoAnn Fabrics (huge craft store as well). Old Time Pottery turned out to be a fun place for home furnishings and for anything and everything except clothes. Mitchy- pics of those flowers? May be the only ones I get. Sunny- Peggy hear anything yet? Boy, you sure had a fun weekend with DH. Bunna- How have you been feeling? Teel- You too...sleeping. EZ- You are a busy man. Well, gonna jet...don't know why...maybe I'll go do a piece of jewelry. Hugs and Prayers! Mary Kay |
Hi Gals--No time tonight, Ron needs computer for school. Went to church yesterday then had a wedding to go to....one of my son's good friends, Ryan was a groomsman..it was on the beach for the wedding (they got so lucky for a 5:30pm beach ceremony, it was beautiful with the sun setting and weather cool but not cold), the boys wore tux's and sandals, girls wore fancy dresses and jewlery(?) instead of shoes... then dinner at a fancy restaurant in town.
Thanks Wilma and Sunny for checking out Angie's site. Well gotta go..nephew needs PC...just picked him up from tennis practice...later PRAYERS TO ALL...MKAY (be still and know that He is God) Gary |
*What are YOU living for?*
*Our Daily Bread* Many people living in their twilight years suddenly realize how empty and pointless their lives have been. They've made some successful business deals and had some fun, but in terms of satisfying friendships or lasting accomplishments, their lives have been zero. They have climbed the ladder of success, only to discover that all the while it had been leaning against the wrong wall. As the apostle Paul looked back on his ministry, he saw that it had been rewarding but not easy. Measured by the world's yardstick of success, his life seems almost insignificant. Paul wrote his second letter to Timothy while languishing in a cold, damp dungeon awaiting execution. In a matter of weeks, the apostle would stand before Nero, the half-insane emperor of Rome, and his life would end. But he knew that after his death he would receive the crown of life from the King of kings. And we now know that the influence of his life changed the course of history itself. An ancient historian would have written volumes about the splendor of Nero and probably never even mentioned Paul. Yet today we name our dogs Nero and our sons Paul. I guess what we live for is pretty important after all. What are YOU living for? One life to live for Christ my Lord, One life to do my part, One life in which to give my all With fervency of heart. There are no losers with Jesus and no winners with the devil. "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7 *~*~*~*~*~*~* |

Hi all
Hello
I was wondering why you were all so quiet and it happened again where i'm not getting notification of posts?..... Mkay~sorry you are down :( Praying for you... :grouphug: And if i can, i'll send a pic of the roses tonight. They are even more beautiful now. And good things are really happening between Doug and I. He is scheduled to come out the weekend of Nov. 12th. I'm nervous but really wanting to meet him in person. Went to PT last night and i'm having a little pain sometimes, my back seems to get tired. I bought a wedge to sit on at work, suppose to make me sit more correctly. Having trouble scheduling my PT visits, i tell ya, yesterday was a Monday, grumpy people, little things just didn't work. Aggravating. Going downtown today to get my license situated, need to show them my original paperwork to finalize my license. Sunny~Continued prayers for Peggy. She must be scared. How lucky she is to have a friend like you. You are so dear. How are you feeling? Prayers to all. |
