Thursday Evening
HI GALS
So sorry I haven't been here much the last few weeks--so busy with all the sports going on and of course that darn chewing dog  I keep telling her " I said come here and cheer me up not CHEW me up  " She is really getting the hang of things if you know what I mean...SHE OWNS US!! ;) I have the evening off for the first time in I don't know how long, nothing to do but rest. Have dinner taken care of--easy!! went to the store and got fresh rolls, macaroni salad, spinach salad, chips and (beer for me ;) ) . We have a ton of ham and turkey lunch meat that needs to be eaten or tossed--so sandwiches tonight. Been really busy at work too so I haven't been getting those "short" days I LOVE. Went to my buddies son's high school baseball game last night and he didn't play! The coach is saving him for Friday night against a tough team-- oh well, he was sure glad I came anyway-- they won 17 to 4. Daughter has her last home match of the year tomorrow afternoon, then off to regionals which are 2 hours from me this year then nationals which are in Alabama--then home for the summer :cb:  SUNNYD-- OK girl how do I go about "kidnapping" those 2 precious little ones for the day? Such cuties! boy Mikala sure is growing. How did the walk with Joe go? good weather for you two lovebirds ;) ? I am so proud of your exercise routine! I found that if I covered up the TIME on the machine with a towel that sometimes the "journey" went a little faster--I know what you mean about the last 10 draggin' on--can you see TV or listen to music to help pass the time? Love the pictures of the fish, you have such a cute home! And you and Joe painting eggs together--Yea babe that's what I'm talkin' about    I can't wait until the end of summer and see the results of all your hard work!! Keep on truckin'!!!! WILMA Happy anniversary :balloons: I hope you and your husband have a great week-end together! Knowing you "MARTHA" you have big plans :D Gourmet-gourmet!! and a little romance too I'm sure!! Enjoy your special time!!! SAMI What ever has gotten in to you girl--WE ARE LOVIN' IT!!! Such a change in attitude and health!! So proud of you!! I bet your family is too. I am not so sure what the Dr. means by stretching while you ride--are you sure that is what he meant and not after? and before? How are all those kids doing? and the newlyweds? MICHELE Things seem to be going good with Charlie--are you sure you want to risk going out with another guy dear? You said you weren't committed yet-OK with that-- but.....what can I say girl..your a player ;) It was nice that you were able to see your old friends for lunch. Enjoy you ROMANCE and your POSSIBLE ROMANCE--JUST BE SMART!! I know you will! Remember your massage therapist said you looked in love BEFORE the call from the alpha guy. NOT!! trying to tell you what to do!! Just being a dad!! ANGEL So sorry you are losing sleep over the son. I know you are looking for answers on the internet but the answer has to come when he is ready-- has he ever looked into the SALVATION ARMY? A great place! Did wonders for my brothers and a buddy. Prayers for your family. SUE ANYONE seen Sue? Oh-there you are!! So good to hear from you! Sounds like you had your usual busy Easter week! Another teen lock-in huh--are you NUTS? You are such a good role model. We went to Son rise service too, ours is at 6am, was yours? Hope China plans are going well for you on the adoption business! Get a couple of extra kids for me and you to play with in ALASKA ;) SPROUT Hey girl almost to the 750 mark! And another 2 gone FOREVER! Hopefully the work-out with your daughter will serve many purposes-- lost weight and GAINED time together without the troubles of her brother getting in-between. JUST STAY MOTIVATED- I know it hasn't been an easy few years here-- you are our hero!! SHERRY How is it going coach? I remember when I first met my wife, she was coaching my step-daughter's team at the time, she was 7-- I told her that was so nice, she said that NO she wasn't! that she was a brat-- I got her a shirt that said COACH BRAT on it!! I think she liked it-- not sure but she married me a year later anyway!!! I hope Kelli has as much luck from her Ranger as I have with mine. I have a 93 Ranger crew cab, red-- it has 230,000 miles on it. I could buy another but I love my truck and I don't have top worry about keeping it nice! either, soon I will have to get a new one. I am still praying for great success with the counselor-- doesn't it make you MAD when we can't fix our children's troubles!! Thank-goodness that GOD guy is around ;) AGGIE-VALERIE-DEENIEM and CEEJAY Hi, Welcome and keep coming back... Gotta go Angie wants to yell at me about something  |
Hello Guy's and Gal's
Sherry Thanks for sharing the Holy Alphabet. I printed it out. Your graphics are good also. I especially liked the Friendship graphic. SunnyD I'm impressed that you get up that early in the morning to do your exercise. On the days I work I go to the gym immediately afterwards. It takes the stress away from those long days. I work from 7 a.m. till 7 p.m. 4 days one week and 3 the next. DeenieM Sounds like you and dh have a fun trip planned for your anniversary. Have fun and enjoy the time together. Michele I'm single also so I know that it is hard to be alone. I say that if you are not committed to Charlie, you have the right to date other men. Commit dating to the Lord. I didn't want to break it off with Mark myself so I have asked the Lord to not have Mark to think about me. It's been almost 6 weeks now and I haven't heard from him. Praise the Lord!!!! Gary Hope that Angie didn't yell to long or to loud. Hi to Sami, Wilma, Angel and Sprout and to anyone I have over looked. My day has been productive. Thursday is usually my physical rest day but I was mentally charged. Cleaned the kitchen and bathroom in the house. Had an ear, nose and throat doctor's appointment at one thirty and after 53 years I'm finally diagnosed with allergic rhinits and allergies. The doctor had given me some meds to try for three weeks but they were just not working so he gave me some different meds to try for 2 weeks. I have just taken one 60mg Allegra and used the Flonaise spray once and I'm already telling the difference. I am to take the Allegra 2 times daily where as the Clairnex was 25mg once per day. Worked on abs and upper body today at the gym. Got to go today at a decent time and it wasn't as crowded. Weighed in this morning and I'm down 1.5 pounds. pleased about this also. I've started back on the South Beach Diet. The doctor told me I could have one starch per day due to my under active thyroid, and he also told me to please do not cut out your carbs. My blood sugar level tends to drop if I do cut out carbs. It's night time here so good night everyone. Sweet dreams. Proverbs 16:3 Commit to the Lord whatever you do and your plans will succeed. |
http://p.webshots.com/ProThumbs/94/4...llpaper280.jpg Good Morning everyone http://www.harrythecat.com/graphics/b/cat28.gif Just stopping in very quickly to touch base with you before I go to Curves this morning. I have already done my T-Mill http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/7/7_5_120.gif I walked for an hour (5:15 - 6:15am) and burned 310 Cal/96Fat Cal and went 2.10 miles. And now I must be going so I won't be late meeting my girlfriend at Curves... I will check back with all you lovely people as soon as I am able to when I get home. I have some errands to run today ;) *May God's Blessings be Yours* :sunny: SunnyD *~*~*~*~*~*~* |

Good Friday Morning CEers!!!!!! I'm been up a little bit doing paperwork and sipping my :coffee: In my job, the paperwork NEVER goes away. Anything that is related in any way to the government involves lots of paperwork. I have been busier this week with work and have a very busy weekend. But that's probably a good thing since I can't seem to NOT buy those pretty little garden plants everytime I go to Walmart, Lowe's, etc.... Those little pretties just keep calling my name . . . . . . . . . PSS . . .Sher.r.r..y . . . look at me........http://members.tripod.com/llladybug/...llsflowers.gif Living down here in the south, we have very hot and dry summers. I have already purchased purslane, moss roses, vincas, begonias, impatients, mexican heather, geraniums, dusty miller, marigolds, coleus, and a few others plus some zinna seeds, moss rose seeds, etc.... I have lots of the "old" stuff coming up like 4 o'clocks (one of favorites), elephant's ears, peonies, different sages, snapdragons, hollyhocks, rose of sharons, etc... And lots and lots of chocolate mint!!!! I planted one little 3 inch pot last year in our main flowerbed and now have about 10 feet of it. I love the way it smells, YUM, but it's taking over.:lol: Ceejay~Congratulations on being down 1.5lbs!!!!!! Sorry to hear that you have the allergy thing but as a nurse, I'm seeing more and more of it showing up. Thank God, I am finally feeling some better. Allegra seems to be basically a good allergy med and Flonase is really a good one. Proud you are working that upper body and those abs. I need to do that, too. I'm doing the SB too but haven't been good this week. I plan to go back to Phase I next week and just maybe add a carb or two in so I guess that would be Phase I 1/2. Gary~ Wow, your Ranger has been good to you! I think my dh had hidden motives for buying Kelli the Ranger. He said last night that when she got through with it he would just keep it and use it around here on the farm and not drive his Dodge dually diesel as much. ;) Coaching is going better. I FINALLY got rule books yesterday and a new scorebook. Thank goodness since our next game is well, tonight. :dz: We practiced yesterday and the girls are understanding the whole picture better but have quite a few having problems batting. Just can't hit the ball. I think next week we are going to use a T and a ball on a rope and practice. And see if that helps. Sue~ I have missed you!!! So glad to see you back!!! Glad your pastor is doing well. My dh and I are feeling better. Thanx! Wow, you have to be younger than me to be doing those sleep overs. :halfempty: I just can't do them anymore. Hope you can come around again real soon!! Glad to have you back!!! Michele~ Wow, you almost have the men beating down your door to see you. ;) Just be careful, what ever you decide. You have the look and  feelings in your heart for Charlie. You don't want to hurt him. Think about how you would feel if he went out with someone else and you found out. And he hadn't told you. I'm not saying not to go out with the Alpha guy, but just consider it all. If Gary can be DAD, I guess I can be MOM. You are right, you aren't commited, but you don't want to hurt Charlie either. :nono: Glad your lunch went well with your friends. I love to see folks that I haven't seen in a while, it's good for the soul. Deenie~ Wow, it is a small world. Yes, the last time we were in Memphis, I noticed how the inner city was in really bad shape and almost abandoned. It's sad. You would think they would try to fix it up but I guess with the crime, it's hopeless. It's hard for me to believe how much the outskirts is growing, every time we are there. I remember when Barlett wasn't much more than a couple of gas stations, a TG&Y, a few other stores and a few eating joints. NOW - WOW, it's grown so much that it all runs together and you can't really tell where Memphis ends and Bartlett begins. But the same thing has happened with Germantown and Cordova. Even out where I grew up they are constantly building new homes, etc... I probably wouldn't like living there now. I'm just a country girl at heart. ;) Well, I better hop to it and get in the shower. Glad to see so much activity here but it sure keeps me busy. :dz: LD HOPE EVERYONE HAS A GREAT FRIDAY AND A GREAT WEEKEND!!!!!! Try to get out and take advantage of the spring weather, if you can!!!!!http://www.wholesalecountrygiftware....house_Lord.gif |
Oh, i'm feeling so down and defeated this a.m. I had to pay on my taxes yesterday and i'm so broke, i can't manage my bills right now and i just don't know what to do... I want to just give it up.....i need to turn to the Lord. The phone and electric are overdue....geez, what am i going to do. I'll figure it out, but i hate this sick feeling.
I'm upset with Charlie too, he called last night, he can't make a decision about what we should do on our date tomorrow, go to dinner, bring something in, go to the movies, watch a movie at home, cook at home, go out and have dinner......geez, why is this so difficult. I feel like i haven't seen him all week, i would think he could handle this. I don't care what we do, i just want to spend time with him. I just wonder if he has the time or inclination to include me in his life. Oh, i'm not in a good mood, i'm thinking i should just stay home and not do anything. |
Wow you guys are awesome!

Thanks for making things beautiful! Michele: :bravo:Praise God for your self control concerning food! Please pray for me councerning fasting. I used to fast. Did you feel like God broke the power of food in your fast? Have you read Hunger for God? I am finding that it is the small things I do that add up. I am hopeful to form habits that keep me healthy. One at a time. Ceejay: I am glad that I am not the only new person. My prayers go out for you. You are a busy woman! At that rate I will be at goal in a year. DeenieM: :df: I am praying for your weigh in day! what is SW? I am just curious! {{{{{HUGS}}}}} |

Dieters devotions for April 16, 2004
April 16
James 1:3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. When you get really serious about losing weight, you have no alternative but to develop patience. There are no safe, quick ways to lose a lot of weight. It takes time. The body takes a long time to build up, and it takes a long time to wear down. However, the person who sticks with her diet will be amazed to find that the longer it's adhered to, the easier it gets. A time comes when the diet is no big deal. In many cases, people find they prefer their diet to their former way of eating. Patience is an elusive trait, but once it is attained, it is its own reward. Today's thought: Patience would be a lot easier if it didn't take so long to get. |
http://members.tripod.com/~teaapot/herbey.gif  Good afternoon my favorite people, After I got home this afternoon from running my errands I felt tired, so after my lunch I took a rest to watch some TV and watched a couple programs of "I LOST IT!" on the Discovery Heath channel... what awesome success stories! Sure gives me the want to keep going. I have felt very impatient with my weight loss again -working so hard and not feeling like I am getting any results fast enough. I will not quit this time, but there are days... ... ... Maybe it's just that I am tired, very tired right now. *~*~* Hi SHERRY - Forgive me for not coming back to you yesterday to post, my Joe got home a bit earlier and I got side-tracked. We sat out on the deck playing gin (cards) most the evening enjoying our nice weather. And today is awesome! 74* right now... we have waited so very long for some warmer, sunny days ~ this is beautiful! Everything is greening up so fast! Loved The Holy Alphabet ~ thanks for taking the time to post it for us ;) Boy Sherry, you talking about all those plants from Lowe's and Home Depot sure makes me want to go shopping :D I love shopping for the gardens and this year Joe & I are going to get some stone for the gardens to border them... we have to do it a bit at a time with the cost of them, but it will be so nice when it's done. We also have to get our driveway repaired... we can't afford to replace it this year as we hoped to, the roof is going to cost us more then we thought, but we can repair it to get us through another year thanks to Lowe's :) I cannot wait to go and get some flowers... love coleus! So many varieties today. I am glad you enjoyed the pics I posted... Thanks so much for the 'pat-on-the-back' for doing the T-mill --- I have felt a bit discouraged today, but am thinking I am just very tired. Hope that all goes well with your game tonight!!! Do come back and tell us all about it, okay. To be continued... |
Hi MICHELE - Big Ole {{{{{HUGS}}}}} for you sweetie!!!!!! I wish I could make it all better for you. Hi GARY - Yes... they are dolls aren't they :D Joe & I just love spending time with the kids! Your pup, Rylee, will get through the chewing stages... hang in there! Just make sure she has specific toys for chewing or you will have some problems for sure. She owns you... naw, not YOU! The guy that didn't want any dog! Believe me... my boys own us as well! They tell us how to live without a doubt! But you love them to death - don'tcha ;) Yep! :D We had a nice walk and are really enjoying the nice weather!!! Bout time!!!! Thanks Gary, I am really trying so very hard to get this weight off me. Right now it's not moving again and I have worked out every single day this week for 1hour and 30min each day! Say a prayer for me to be patient with myself... I am not a patient person with "Me"... I am with others, but not me. I want change yesterday or I get all bummed. Glad you don't mind all the pics... I do love sharing them with you all. So nice to hear that you think we have a nice home :) I do have some more pictures that I am going to post when I am all done writing everyone. I took them today. Hi SUE - Sounds like you had your hands full over the Easter week too... it was a crazy, busy, beautiful week! So good to see you! I had to go to Microsoft this morning and get some CRITICAL UPDATES downloaded for XP... I think there were like 4 or 5 of them! Have to stay on top of that or you will have security problems... I think most if not all were security upgrades. Glad I did it, but what a pain to have to always check. I love my new fish... they really entertain and calm me. I hope that you have a great experience with the teenagers and the Lock-in you have tonight... come back and fill us in on how it went when you get a chance ;) Hi CEEJAY - Sounds like you too do very well with your workouts! Considering the time you spend at work... I am the one who is impressed! Sounds like you got allot done in your home yesterday. As far as the allergies --- I cannot believe how many people have them this year that never had them before! Me! I have had such a time with my eyes being swollen in the last few weeks... although the last two days seem to be better. I think it's mildew from all the wet weather we had. If it continues to stay bad I too will have to cave and go to a Dr. for some help. I think my mother takes the same meds you were put on and she too said it really helped her. So glad they are helping you. Feel better! :cp: With losing another 1.5#'s!!! :bravo: You are doing so well! Still not finished ;) |
Hi VALERIE - I am so glad you enjoy all the animations and graphics that Sherry, Angel & I use... one day when we are able to go on at the same time ~ either myself, Sherry or Angel can show you how, okay. You must share some more about yourself with us :) We would love to get to know you more. Thanks SPROUT - For the reading from James... I just got though posting how I have very little patience with myself  And you post JAMES!!!! God works though you without a doubt! Thank you! *~*~* "Hello's" to ANGEL, CONNIE, SAMI, WILMA, DEENIE & AGGIE Well, I guess that's it for this evening... Joe just called and is on his way home. I made some Stuffed Peppers (yum!) and a Balsamic Salad for dinner tonight. We may go for another stroll in the beautiful weather tonight if he's up to it... don't know yet what his day has been like. Love you guys! Have a wonderful weekend! :sunny: SunnyD *~*~*~*~*~*~* |
Oh SHERRY - I forgot to tell you "I LOVE" the Ladybug graphic :) among the others... You found yourself a great site - good for you! :cp: *~*~*~*~*~*~* |
Hey there MICHELE - I just noticed the weight-loss graph you added to your sig... Cool! *~*~*~*~*~*~* |
More PICTURES!!!
3 Attachment(s)
GARY - Here is a picture of where my T-Mill is and it does collapse/fold up to move toward the wall when I am not using it. You asked if there was TV or a Radio for me - yep, both! But the last 10 is still tough... :dizzy: *~*~* The other two pictures are of the two boys (Zeppe-Left & Guido-Right) enjoying the OPEN window! They are watching the birds sitting in the shrubs and trees - so cute! *~*~* Oh MICHELE - You asked me if Guido or Zeppe got fat over the winter - nope, as you can see they are just "huge" boys! Zeppe weighing 14.5 & Guido 15#'s but not fat at all :) *~*~* The boss is home ;) Time for dinner... See ya... *~*~*~*~*~*~* |
I have had a busy day.
Mowed the yard so my exercise is done. Tomorrow I'm using a rest day for exercising.. I've put the dishes in the dishwasher and now it will not come on. pooh--Guess I need to call the landlord Monday. Hi to everyone  Deenie I just read your biography. I live on the other side of the Mississippi River in Arkansas. and my sister and her husband are starting an apartment ministry in the Dallas Fort Worth area. I admire you this kind of work takes special people. Bye for now. Off to take a soak in the tub. My muscles are really tight. |
Saturday morning
Good Morning CEers!!!!http://www.wtv-zone.com/CyberGranny/Gardening.gif
I'm trying to wake up here, sipping my :coffee: I have been feeling better but being outside yesterday afternoon and last night for the game with the wind blowing "stuff" around, my ear and head and throat are hurting again. :( Well, it was a good game last night. :) The score ended 16 to 15 their favor, but it was a good tight game. There is suppose to be no stealing unless there's an overthrow, and boy did the girls take advantage of that one. Hince, so many runs. :D I have busy days this weekend since I am working. Normally I see 2 or 3 patients on the weekends and today I have . . . 6 with one out of town and 5 tomorrow. So, not much gardening or resting time. Maybe I can try real hard to get my eating back on track next week. Ceejay~Moving our yard would definitely be ENOUGH exercise for me. Good for you getting out there and taking care of that. And I say more than just pooh on the dishwasher. Yuck!!! Yuck!!! Those things seem to quit at all the wrong times. Call the landlord soon. Sunny~ I love country gifs especially garden type, etc... I don't spend a lot of time looking but if I come upon one I like I bookmark it. ;) Sitting on the back deck in the afternoon is definitely my kind of thing. But lately between softball games and practices normally between 5-7:30 or so there's not been much time for enjoying the deck or porch, plus our winds have been up quiet a bit, so have to wait a little longer. Sprout~ As always thanks for the devotional. Hope you are doing well. Look forward to hearing from you soon. Gary~ I'd stick to that story too. Wait, I do nearly always WANT mexican food, but can't always have it. But I must say, I think I might have been born with the wrong color skin. ;) When you slow down, we will be around here waiting for your post. Win!!! Have fun!!! standnngrace~ Glad to see you posting and enjoying the graphics. I too very much enjoy them and would insert more if I had more time. Have a good one. Michele~ I hope this finds you feeling much better. {{{HUG}}} You know you got to give it ALL to the Lord and let HIM take care of things. Spend a few minutes thinking about HOW GREAT OUR LORD IS AND HOW MUCH HE HAS DONE FOR YOU He's NOT going to let you down, my friend. Timing is everything, and remember HIS is NOT ours. ;) You just hang in there and know we are here for you ALWAYS. As far as Charlie, don't be too hard on him, that's just a guy thing. (Sorry Gary) Tell him how you feel, that you would like him to plan a date and surprise you with the details and the excitement of it all. He may be slow to decide because he's scared what he picks may not be what you would really want. Kinda like Gary and Angie. Drop us a line this weekend, or two or threee. http://www.wtv-zone.com/sky622/bars/pastelflw.gif Well, the :coffee2: is empty and I have to hit the shower. Hope EVERYONE has a GREAT weekend!!!!! Cya later. |
Sorry to be such a whiner yesterday........ Oh, i was just so stressed and upset. I'm still worried, but I read Phillippians this a.m. and God's Word touched me. Look how joyful and happy Paul was in writing that letter and he was in a prison, for God's sake! I know that it'll work out.....i'm feeling happier today and i also know that it isn't right to grumble. I have no one to blame, except myself. The Lord has convicted me on some things.
And I spoke to Charlie yesterday afternoon and again he was wonderful, supportive, understanding. We ended up having a much longer and serious talk than i thought we would and he called me when i got home too to discuss it a little, he just wanted to make sure i was ok. He tried to talk me into just coming over and letting him take care of me, but i didn't. I may go see him tonight, if i get some stuff done at home after work. Thanks for the support! You guys are so wonderful! |
Dieters devotions for April 17, 2004
April 17
Philippians 3:20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ. After Michelle promised Susan she would diet with her, she im-mediately began to regret it. All Susan did was talk about food. Susan had a one-track mind, and she made dieting so much harder for Michelle. Michelle constantly tried to change the direction of their conversations, but Susan always managed to bring the topic back to food. Finally, Michelle told Susan that if she didn't stop, she would no longer be able to be a diet partner with her. The two worked together and found that with some effort, they could steer clear of caloric conversation. Today's thought: Lord, turn my mind away from the pleasures of my tummy! |
Saturday
HI GALS
Well RYLEE had her first day of puppy school today. Angie and I were SURE ( ;) ) she would be in GATE (gifted and talented education)--let's just say YES, she did get to go to the front of the class, HOWEVER it was because she was setting a bad example  I had to work so I missed it, but Angie said she was ADHD to the max. She just wanted to play with all the other puppies. I'm pretty sure the reason she misbehaves is because of what she is eating--Angie's roses!! The front yard (where RYLEE doesn't go) is so full of beautiful roses, the back....well let's just say it's pretty barren at the moment--16 bushes and 2 roses!! By golly just last night we had at least 7 roses  My daughter did very well yesterday in her last tennis match at home for the year-- an 8 to 3 win over a tough opponet. Her team is ranked #7 in the NAIA at the mement and the team we faced was ranked #6-- this will be an advantage at nationals to be ahead of them. My daughter found out yesterday that she is going to regionals and nationals as #7--top 6 play. Our most talented player is going to try and come back from a severe knee injury and play-- if she does she will take Amanda's spot in the rotation, wish the girl a ton of success because she is such a sweetheart, but if she can't play my kiddo will be there to do her best-- my daughter is dissapointed a little but it also was somewhat expected. Sports is never easy!! Well Angie just informed me we are off to Petco for treats (for training and a CHOKE collar for RYLEE, I think she is out of detention by now  Be back later.... |
Hi All,
We ( ha!ha! my DH) are trying to get a new computer up and running, and there are a million and one other things I need to get done, so I haven't been online in a few days. I am doing okay, I have had a few slip ups, but I just have to try and kep going, with the Lord's help, and only truly with His help I will be able to do this. I only stepped on the scales this morning, I jumped off the wagon, so to speak for a few days, and I don't even know why. Prqayers please. I have got to go, I'll try and check in tomorrow afternoon. Hope everyone is doing well and that you all have a blessed Sunday. In Christ, aggie |

Good SUNDAY Morning...
http://www.countryclipart.com/BirdHs...ehartsline.gif Good Sunday Morning CER's  Just popping in briefly to say my hello's and to fill you all in a bit about our day yesterday. Joe & I met with our friends, Mike & Peggy, for breakfast at 7:30 and then we all went shopping for groceries (the guys went off on their own for a bit; then joined us again) and then when Joe & I got home off we went to the park. It was just too beautiful of a day to let it get by without enjoying it! We walked about 3.5miles on the park trails ~ our senses were filled with the sounds of flirting birds, baby snakes crossing our path, turtles, etc... just an awesome day. Then when we got home I took some time at my computer making 5 birthday cards for a birthday party at Mike & Peg's... it's their oldest, Sandy's birthday (24th) and Peg's is the week after... so we celebrated both last night. What a great time we had! Oh... the reason why I made 5 cards for 2 people is --- I wanted them to have a sentimental card as well as a funny card ;) And because Sandy watches our boys when we are gone, I made a birthday card from the boys with some pics of them in in for her... she got a kick out of it. So as you can see we had quite a full day yesterday, but oh so much FUN! Today after we get home from church it will be pretty quiet (that's okay)... I think we'll go out and putts around in the gardens - pruning and such. Then this evening I am going to the Fashion Bug for a huge 50% off sale! We do not make a practice to shop on Sunday's :nono:, but we are making an exception to save quite allot of $$ on clothes that I need because I have dropped down a size :D from an 18/20 to a 14/16! Thrilling... And tonight is by invite by the store manager only (Joe helped her out by singing at her fashion show) - so we'll be there around 6ish to go pick out an outfit or two. I am usually not a big clothes shopper, but I need to get something to fit me now till I go to the next size down :) Forgive me for not posting individually this morning - just no time to. But I will try to catch up tomorrow ;) Don't forget to take the time to 'THANK the Lord' and WORSHIP today :) *God Bless!* Love you guys! :sunny: SunnyD http://www.countryclipart.com/BirdHs...Cks/4harts.gif |
Sunday morning
Happy Lord's Day to ALL!!!!!!!
Good morning. Just sitting here sipping :coffee: and trying to wake up. I am so very tired this morning and have another busy day. I'm suppose to be part time and I am but ended up doing a lot of visits the last 3 days. The other nurse is off for a long weekend. I worked a l-o-n-g day yesterday and even today have to go out of town (ab hour away) to turn in paperwork. Yuck!!! I'm not complaining about the work. I'm just tired and haven't got the rest I need. :tired: I don't want to get down sick. I need a day off to get Lasix in and the fluid out. Sunny~Congratulations on losing a SIZE!!!!! Good Morning to you and Joe! Sounds like you had some real fun yesterday. I love those kinda days. . . . .well maybe not the baby snakes . . . . . .snakes in general. . . . . . .but spending the day outdoors. :D:D Do you ever wonder what in the world we did before computers? I love mine and can't imagine having to go back and type on a typewriter or buy a card, etc...... Good luck with your shopping for your new outfit. Sounds like fun!!! Aggie~ I've kinda been off the wagon this whole week, maybe we both can get ON PLAN and lose this extra. My problem is I have so much fluid on my body. And the other one is that I'm too busy to plan right and too tired to care. Hopefully I will have more time this week to tell you more about how to do the graphics, etc... sorry not now. Sprout~Thanks as always for the devotional. Continue to hope everything is going well with you. Pleez drop us a line or two sometime. {{HUGS}} Gary~ Hope your trip to Petco was successful. I love those stores but here in the middle of no where, we don't have any near us . . . maybe 3 hours away. Treats could get a little expensive that way. ;) Sorry to hear about Rylee and the roses!!! :yikes: That would break my heart. Did she destroy the bushes or just the bloomed out roses? Glad to hear your daughter is doing so well in tennis. She is so blessed to have you to support her. Wish your daughter :goodluck: lots of luck on going forth from here!!! Michele~ Don't you worry about the whining or whatever. We are ALWAYS here for you!!!! We are here to encourage and support each other. It's good you and the Lord had a long talk and got some things ironed out and you and Charlie too. Sounds like he is trying to be sweet but did I catch that you are pushing him away??? Just asking. {{{HUGS}}} You are very special to me and I want the very best life can give to you!!!!! Hope EVERYONE has a GREAT Sunday!!!! Enjoy spring in your area. Here it's suppose to be cloudy, warm, very windy and maybe rain. If I was home, sounds like a good nap day. ;);) Cya later. |
Sunday
GORGEOUS SUNDAY :flow1: HERE!
Just got home from church and am waiting for Ron to take a shower-- taking him to get a haircut for his D.C. trip and he has about a gallon of gel in his hair  He has a difficult time combing it so "we" keep it short when he needs to look RESPECTABLE ;) Otherwise I don't care what he does with it, as long as the school allows it, he can have it pretty much anyway he wants. Angie and I went out for Italian last night then off to Target to get Ron some clothes for the trip-- he can destroy his clothes in NO TIME at all  If I let him he would probably wear the same shirt and shorts EVERY day of the year....aahhhh....but it is a work in progress that I am happy to be a part of!! RYLEE got a couple of pigs ears at Petco, she really loves them, one is gone already and the other half eaten--ANGIE says NO MORE...the gas thing ya know ;) We got her a couple of new toys too! Church was a little light today for people, this is a week our Pastor always takes off and the people know that...it is always lower in attendance the week after Easter...guess since HE IS RISEN we don't need to go :nono: To be honest Angie and I thought about not going too....So glad (AS ALWAYS) that we did. Well off for haircuts.... |
Sw
Hey Stand - SW stands for my starting weight as of 1/5/04 when I actually "restarted" losing weight - so I guess I should have put RSW -haha!! HW signifies the highest I was at about a year ago! Praise the Lord I am not there anymore because as of January I was headed straight back to the top - and by the way everybody - you'll notice my CW has changed - yes I was down 1/2 pound this week which is pretty good considering 3 days visiting the folks - I am praying I'll hit that 20 lb. mini goal this week - gotta run - lots to do and have to go back to church at 5pm. Prayers to all - I'll try to catch up with you this week!!!

Dieters devotions for April 18, 2004
April 18
Ecclesiastes 7:8 Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit. It doesn't take a genius to agree that the end of a diet is a lot better than the beginning. Oh, how wonderful it will be to finally reach the goal we set for ourselves, to finish this time of trial, temptation, and struggle! The Lord rejoices when we triumph in the pursuits of our everyday lives. He longs to see us happy and fulfilled. Pray to the Lord that He might bring you to the finish of your weight-loss program. He is faithful to stand beside us, granting the patience we need in all situations so we might finish victorious. Praise the Lord! Today's thought: This day means I am one day closer to the end of my diet! |
Just a quick note to let you know we made it back from our weekend. We had a glorious time. No TV- just lots of time of being alone together. Just what we needed for our anniversary. I'd recommend it to anyone.
I can't post to everyone individually but it looks like everyone is doing great. I plan to get back on track tomorrow even though I didn't do too bad on the weekend. Talk to you again soon! |
Sunday Night
HI GALS
WILMA So glad you had a great week-end!! SHERRY Rylee just...so far..eats the roses and not the bush. Thanks for the blessings for DD and her tennis. Here is wishing you can catch up on your rest! MARILYN How is the walking and exercise with DD going? DEENIEM Enjoy your evening at church. SUNNY So happy to see ANOTHER happy week-end with Joe!! AGGIE Good luck with the computer. CEEJAY Still paper plates? STANDNNGRACE HI Well gotta go and figure dinner out-- Angie is at a Creative Memories Party this afternoon so dinner is up to me and the nephew and son...should be healthy HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH |
Starting of a new week
Gosh how times seems to fly by - is that a sign that I am getting old?
Things are going pretty well here. Over the terrible flue / cold I had, but got another one that is just about gone. Can't allow myself to get sick like that as it takes all energy and strength to keep the cancer under check. Son is doing so much better. Really seeing a good change. Can't complain about his school at all - he really has been putting a good effort into it and doing really well on the exams. His big thing now is not to come home on time - always 10 - 15 minutes late - and always has a very good reason for being late. But we have not started taking away the skate board and that of missing 1 night of youth group when he is late. Have told him when he can be on time 3 - 4 times in a row, then 5 - 10 minutes is not a problem, but when consistently late - sorry things get taken away Doing well with my walking and the gym. The exercise part of my life changes has been made - they are like breathing now - can't seem to live without them. Now just to make the food life changes the same way. Ran into my doctor at church today - he asked about the walking. Was pleased that I am still so 'motivated' and 'disciplined' with it. He said as for the food 'just have to get disciplined and make it a priority as you did with the walking.' Have started working out with my daughter - is really fun to watch her enthusiasm. Hopefully the two of us will soon see results. Well, I am tired, stomach is a bit upset, so think I will go and lay down and read for awhile - reading the last in the Left Behind series -- very good reading! |
Hi there!
E.Z. Glad to hear dd did well in tennis. Our son rise service started at 7am instead of 6am. We serve a big pancake breakfast after then have sunday school and morning service. It went really well. Sorryt o hear you best friend is destroying angies roses. Good thing he's cute. The China plans are going well, I just ordered my hepitiis A series about $125. dollars, I have already had hep. b series, I have to take typhoid shot then I think I am done.
Ceejay- Sorry to hear you've got so many allergies, great exercise mowing outside, but probably will make allergies worse. Congrats on 1.5 lb loss. Sunny- Thanks for asking the lock-in went really well there was about 100 kids there all total with about 10 counselors. They had a great time. How cool, shopping for smaller clothes, its all that work , great job. I hear ya about puter updates, just downloaded another one this morning. Sherry- I can't wait flowers are starting to come up and they look so pretty, I understand the pain of paperwork, I work for the state, and that is an area they excell at. Mitchy- Glad to hear your feeling better- it is easy to get upset about those bills, especially being single you probably already pay a great deal of tax, and then to have to pay more. I know I paid over $7000 dollars in federal alone last year and only got back $1400, , and ended up paying the state, more yet. |
continued-
aggie- good luck with the computer- you'll get the hang of it.
Sprout- I love the left behing series, I think they did a great job with that. Thanks for quote on patience, I needed to hear that. Angel- Your still in my thoughts and prayers- for you and your family Deenim- your doing great- down almost 20lb way to go. Hang in there. Wilma- your doing great so happy to hear you had a nice weekend Valarie- Hi there welcome- pop back in and let us know how your doing, were a happy little family . I have been busy, but there is nothing new there- I bid on e-bay for a pharoahs crown we are doing a play and one of the kids will be pharoah, part of the missions trip we are doing to South Jersey this summer (4 days after I get back from Alaska) so that will be cool, if I can get that to go with the rest of his costume. Hi to any one else I missed, we are having beautiful weather- gotta get my site cleaned so I can put my camper up, See ya |
Remember me?
I miss you all. I had sinus surgery march 2. It was suppose to be out patient surgery ,but it ended up to be four hour surgery. The doctor admitted me for two days in the hospital from ****. I waited two hours for pain medication. I made my own bed because I was laying in blood for hours. Just my luck I got my period the day of surgery and I wasn't aloud to get out of bed. I got up any way to make the bed and clean my self up since no one was there to help me.I finally got a nurse when my sister from pennsylvania who is a nurse superviser called the hospital administration for help. I was on a heart wing in the hospital because they were short on beds. They were very short on staff. I will never go to a hospital without a friend or family member staying with me. All of my sinuses were infected and I could not hear out of either ear. The doctor said they had been infected for years. During surgery he also operated on my nose. I was hoping that it would help with my sleep apnea, but it hasn't so I am back on the cpap machine. I need to loose this weight In order to clear up the sleep problems. Hi to all my old friends and hello to all the new. " If a task is once begun, never leave it till it's done. Be the labor great or small, do it well or not at all" Judy ;) |
welcome back Judy!
Aw Judy~that surgery sounds really awful. I'm sorry you had such a hard time of it. Praying for healing for you. :) I'm glad to see you back though. Post often.
Sorry Gary, I know i go on and on about Charlie........ :o I had a nice, long, relaxing weekend. Caught up on some sleep and things are looking much brighter this week. It's so awesome how God always provides. Without even knowing my situation my mother decided to give me a sum of money (I don't know how much, she asked if i wanted to know, but i said no) as kind of an early inheritance. I don't care how much, it's so needed and appreciated. I'm not just relieved because i know the money will be here, but i've decided to trust God. It was a lesson for me...... I'm going to focus on the program i'm doing this week and going to drink a gallon of water a day. Oh, i went to early mass yesterday (8:00 a.m.) and a couple and the guy i was interested in from Alpha were there. We had a nice chat after church, we're going to maybe go to breakfast after church next week. John was a little shy around me again. We didn't talk alone, he didn't say anything about us getting together. |
Hello I am sorry I have been gone but my Aunt died of lung cancer (she is the one I ask for prayer when my DD was getting married and I had gone and seen her while she was getting chemo) It was a long drive and I have to come back the next day because I am the only one who know how to do payroll. I kind of hurt my feeling that when I told my Boss the only thing she said was what are you going to do about Payroll? And I didn't stay for the funeral I just went for the two day viewing. It was a hard trip she lived in KY in the mountains (way in the mountains) I had to thank God for blessing me because this church she went to in a real small chuch that had 30 members no running water and an out house! I got to meet some of my family I have not seen in 30 years! It felt so good. I live here in Indy with no family except my Mom and brother on my side. My husbands family is big and I love them but it feels good to have some family ties. I will miss my Aunt she was my Favorite on my Dad's side. I am still doing great on the Diet I feel it has become away of life for me. And I am still working out! A year ago I would have never been able to drive the pain would have been too bad. I am sore but manageable. I want to Praise God for blessing me with some healing. I have so much more energy and feel so much better. I want to thank all of you for all the prayers that have gone my way.
I am sorry I can't post to each of you. I will try to post more Tues. |
Good Morning!
Sami: I'm sorry for your loss. It sounds like you've lost someone very special. It is nice to have family ties even if they're not very many. I am so impressed with you these days. It's wonderful when something good becomes a way of life. I find I now crave salads when I haven't had one in a few days. I am also thankful that your pain has lessened. God is Good!!
Michele: Isn't it great when God takes care of us? Remember when Gary reminded you of last year? It's happened so many times in our lives too when things are so low and then something unexpected happens. Judy: It sounds like you've been through ****. I can't believe how some people get treated in the hospital. I sure hope you're on the way to recovery. doitforme: Flowers and camping!! Sound wonderful. Up here it'll be at least another month before either happens. There's still ice on the lakes and snow in the country. Here in the city it's almost gone but is still quite cool. sprout: It sounds like things are improving in all areas of your life. I agree with what your doctor said but sometimes it's so hard to make it happen. Gary: GLad to have you back. I did have a super weekend. Our cabin was right on the lake, had a hot tub on the deck and lots of privacy. It was so nice to be alone with each other. We got home on Sunday afternoon and DS asked what was for supper and I told him that I was still away and he was still on his own. He managed quite fine. I met a lady yesterday who really inspired me. I work in a bank and she came in to cash a cheque. She didn't have an account so I asked her for her ID. She kind of looked like her picture but was much thinner. She told me she had lost 140 lbs. and still had 40 to go. We talked a little while and she told me she had done it by eating properly and working her butt off(literally). It made me realize that the 20-30 lbs. I have left to lose is nothing compared to what this woman had done. It took her 2 years to lose it. Anyway, gotta head to work. Have a super day! |
Tuesday morning

Good Morning CEers!!!!! I have been so busy for days and am totally exhausted!!! :tired: I slept in some this morning and have no visits and no work meetings today. :cp::cp: Do have a softball game tonight and pictures but maybe I can rest and get some of this fluid off me before that time. :yikes: I am up 6lbs and I know it's all fluid. My hands and bilateral lower legs are so very swollen. I even had bad chest pains last night and had to take several nitros. But I knew I was over doing it, but I needed the visits. :stress: Wilma~ I crave those salads too and I'm craving today. ;) Wow, isn't that something about the lady that lost 140lbs!!!! I am totally impressed!!!!! You said she ate properly and worked her butt off, did she say how she did that? So glad you and dh had a terrific time on your anniversary trip!!! It sounds totally awesome!!! Can you send it down south for us??? I need it today!!! No rush though. :D Sami~So sorry to hear about your aunt!!! {{{{{HUGS}}}}} And sorry to hear how cruel your boss was about the whole thing!!! I'm proud of you, and you are an inspiration to us all with the way you have taken charge of your life and already made a difference!!!! Taking the trip proved that to you, didn't it? The mts in KY are beautiful, I hope you got to take in a view or two on your long trip. I always enjoy meeting new family like distant cousins, etc.. I have plenty and they are in the mts of TN. ;) You just post when you can, my friend. We totally understand. http://blackat9.tripod.com/images/clipart/bttrfly.gif Michele~ So glad you had a long relaxing weekend!!! You deserve it!!! And trusting God has turned out just wonderful!!! I'm so proud for you!!! Breakfast next week sounds interesting. Judy~ WELCOME back!!!!! Sounds like your sinus surgery was even worse than mine and I thought mine was bad. As a nurse, I am furious that you got treated the way you did!!!! UGH!!!! I'm so sorry. You could report them and it might help someone else. Your sleep apnea might still improve and getting your weight off should help. I'm in the same boat except the CPap didn't work well on me and I just sleep with O2 (oxygen). Sue~ Glad to hear from you. I love the pretty little flowers so much!! And the camping!! I am trying to get dh to agree to go camping this weekend. I need to get away!!! But if we go, we have a lot to do BEFORE, getting the camper ready. So, I don't know if we will go or not. DH still isn't feeling real well, with the allergies, etc.. and spending several days in nature, might not be the best thing. Sprout~ Sorry to hear you have been so sick!!! I'm sure fighting the CA is hard enough. Are you taking Procrit to give you a little more energy? Good for you sticking to your guns with your son!!! So proud of you doing your exercising and with your daughter!!! You are awesome!!! Hope this finds you feeling better!!! {{{HUGS}}} http://users.bigpond.com/cutecolorz/...orsplant2d.gif Gary~How did your Creative Memories party go? I would love to have one of them sometime!! But the problem, is no time and around here, hardly anyone wants to come to them. So.... I guess I will pass for now. I found a cheap toy that Mocha (our Pug) loves and all it is . . is an empty plastic coke bottle with the cap removed and the bottle put inside an old tube sock and tied on each end in knots. Mocha loves it!!!! It makes a noise every time she bites it. :dunno: Deenie M~ Congratulations on being down 1.5 lbs!!!!! Yay!!!! :cp: :cheer: Well, gotta go now. Hope EVERYONE has a GREAT Tuesday!!!! Luv u all!!! {{{{{HUGS}}}}} |
Hi friends,
SAMI- I'm sorry to hear about your aunt. My mother died from emphysema years ago. To this day it brakes my heart when I see people smoke. just got a call from a friend who is going through her third divorce. I went to her wedding right before christmas. Her husband lived with her for three weeks. His ex wife started calling and leaving love messages on their phone and making honey do list for him. He is now back with the old wife. His son is gay and his daughter was on the Jerry Springer show last month exposing her breasts to the audience. :dizzy: Its worse then a soap opera. She wants me to babysit for her so she can see her lawyer. She is taking care of kids to support herself and her 15 year old son. got to go love you all judy |
Dieters devotions for April 20, 2004
April 20
Ephesians 5:15-16 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. A friend of mine always said, 'If we would only spend time doing what we know we should, there wouldn't be any time left over to do the things we know we shouldn't.' Simple truth, but hard truth to follow. When we diet, it is helpful to engage in activities that will prevent us from having the time to eat or even think about food. One person I knew joined a number of volunteer organizations, just so he would be too busy to eat all the time. We need to redeem the time that we spend in fattening endeavors, and turn instead to activities that are pleasing to God. Today's thought: The busier I keep myself, the thinner I get! |
