Rosebud, I was so sorry to hear that Gracie had to return to hospital again. I can only imagine how your dad and you feel. I will continue to pray that Lord has his way. I will continue to pray for peace for you and your family.
We stand before You in sorrow and regret. We are not the people You have called us to be. We have sinned in thought, word and deed; by the evil we have done and by the good we have not done. We long for Your healing touch to give us forgiveness, to restore us as Your own, and to grant us a willing heart to live as Your children. For the sake of Your own Son's suffering and death, we ask You to keep Your promise and wipe away our sin and it's guilt so that we may stand before You with a conscience cleansed from sin and guilt, to serve You in willing obedience all our days.

Well, what a difference a day and umpteen prayers can make -- got word tonight that our stepmother, GRACE (we call her Gracie), is doing much better. They managed to get a hold of her specialist and he told them to keep her in the hospital until those complications have cleared up.
The one problem was that her own physician was away; and the young replacement doctor (probably terrified) had to wait until he could reach the cancer specialist today. My Dad is exhausted, but they are so relieved as they were fearing the worst, but were trying to put on a brave face for each other and everyone else too.
Now they have told her to make sure she speaks up, yells, or whatever (but of course, that's not her usual demeanor -- becuz she's a quiet, sweet, reserved Christian School teacher). Now, we just have to get her to stay in bed! Anyways, things are looking up so thanks for all the prayers and good thoughts ... Rosebud.
Hello everyone! I was very excited to find a faith based support group on this site. The first one that I have found yet!! I am a strong believer that where 2 or more are gathered, there HE is also. I am new on these forums. But I struggle none the less. I am down 20 lbs with 40 more to go! Life gets in the way sometimes. How frustrating. But I just look to God and there is my support.
Gee Gary, that's very sad to hear that; we don't have telly right now, so we don't always hear the lastest stories like that. That reminds me of the depression in the 30's; and the bible said that in the latter days, people would be struggling financially and with fears. This is why we must put our trust in the Lord and not in money and things ...
Let's pray that people who are losing their jobs and homes at this time, may realize that THEY CAN START AGAIN!!! And, that GOD will help them start over, for as long as we have breath, we should praise the Lord, for He is Good, and He cares for us, and He Loves us all! Amen.
Asking for prayers for my niece, Sunshine V. We call her Sunni. She went in today to see the doctor, he has asked her to consider having a mastectomy. She had surgery about 4-5 months ago to remove a lump, she now has a bigger one. I am not sure if it is cancer.
I have not talked to her today so I am not sure how the meeting went.
Gary, has Sunni had a biopsy ? I will be praying for her, I know how shocking it is to receive such news, but God is always with us and will see us through.

I will be praying for Sunni and your darlin' angie. I truly know how devestating that news can be, we have certainly heard enough in my family, but as we know we serve and merciful God and He is still on His Throne.
Thank you all for the prayers. I still have not talked to Sunni since her appt. I will see her tomorrow. Bargoo, I assume she had a biopsy. She had a previous lump removed then this one came on quickly, she had been to see her doctor last week for "tests"....I will find out.
Angie is much better and will see our family doctor on Tuesday, I though it was Monday.
I am not getting all "up" about this but my daughter has not been feeling well for a few days. She works with some of the boys from time to time in 29 Palms, CA. 2 of them have the "swine" flu and are under quarantine....she has been kidding me telling me she just has the "wilbur" flu. I am sure she is/will be fine but throw a prayer her way if you get a chnce.
Anyways, things are looking up so thanks for all the prayers and good thoughts ... Rosebud.
