Rosebud Prayers for your family!

Asking for prayers for my daughter, AMANDA. She is going up for her yearly review at work on Monday. She would like prayers for her that she follow our Lord's will. She is a scientist with a company that researches different things along the military needs, particularly NAVY men and boys in different stressful situations. She also has a desire to help children with obesity. Amanda wants prayers that she is in the right place for her to display her desires and talents along with career advancement. She will have her review on Monday at 9am.

Amanda has been added to my prayer list for all the area's she requested prayer for. She seems to be a young lady that wants to please God in all she does, and I know she will do just fine and God will answer each and every one of her prayers.

THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR ALL THE PRAYERS FOR MY STEP-MOTHER, and my SISTER & her hubby ~ and oh, I forgot to mention that my STEP-MOTHER's operation on her bladder to remove the cancer cells is on APRIL 17, 2009. They go into the bladder and do a kind of scraping, trying to remove all the cells; and then they check with tests afterwards to see if they get them all. She has already had 3 of these operations and they were all successful, so we are optimistic, yet still praying for GOD's healing touch too!


PRAYERS ~ going up for AMANDA for a successful yearly assessment on Monday AM; and for the Lord's guidance and leading in her life ...

Praise God from whom all blessings flow! There is a God and He is still works miracles! It is my faith in Him that has brought me this far in life! It is great to be inspired from other believers!

Prayers for WICKKY from the Obstacles Thread, who has tested positive for some kind of Lymphoma Cancer ~ she is scared, and could really use some prayer support during this time ... thanks partners.

Prayers for Wickky as she enters this stage of her life...may our Lord comfort and heal her.

I want to thank you all again for the prayers for Amanda. She was very pleased with the results of her yearly review. She got the promotion she was expecting and, although not as much as she wanted, a raise...the highest raise percentage wise in the company for the year. She was told that "we don't want to lose you as an employee...we need to work with you to keep you here!"...and that is why she was finally told "WHY" she is making less than people hired after her...but...that she is more qualified than.

My daughter supervises people that make more money than her and it has bothered her...for obvious reasons. They explained to her that by the standards of the company they are only able to give out certain percentages of raises each year...she has always received the highest percentage but still makes less than some....it was because she was hired (right out of college after completing her honors project with the company) at a rate way less than she should have been...she was told she was taken advantage of...but she had no idea at the time. Anyway, her bosses, civilian and military have assured her they want to pay her what she deserves....they are working on a way to remedy that evidently....I will tell you my daughter is by no means a wealthy person, however she is not poverty either so no need to feel too sorry for her....wink.

She told me to thank all my 3FC friends for her raise and promotion....I told her we didn't pray for that....that we prayed that she was where God wanted her to be...she then said well then I am going to be the best employee I can while God has me here!

I not only have a great daughter....I have great friends that I have never seen! Thanks for your prayers my dear friends!

Good news for Amanda! I will still pray that they can straighten out the payment structure, seems weird to me.I have been a supervisor and always got more pay than those under me.....not much but more. This reminds me of a plaque someone gave me . it shows a a picture of a train and a Railway Supervisor is standing by the train and says....
They don't let me drive the engine
They don't let me ring the bell
But let the XXX XXXX thing jump the track
And see who catches ****!

PRAYER REQUEST & UPDATE FOR UNCLE TOM ~ Thanks to all of you who have been praying for my Uncle Tom over the last 1.5 years or so. He's the one that had 3 different kinds of cancer in about 15 years; and GOD has brought him through them all.

In the summer of 2007, his lungs showed a shadow about the size of a quarter; and further tests revealed some COLON CANCER CELLS in his lungs. Previously, he had Prostrate cancer and Colon cancer about 5 years apart; he had successful surgery for the Colon cancer but opted out of the chemo at that time.

Anyways, they were very puzzled about why he had colon cancer cells in his lungs, except for the theory that they travelled there when he had Colon cancer 5 years before; maybe they laid dormant until that time. Anyhow, he has completed two rounds of chemo in March; now he will rest for May & June, and do a third round in July & August.

PTL, they just returned from seeing his specialist and they had great results from his last CT scan and tests; all the NODES or bumps that were on his lungs have disappeared and all that is left is some scar tissue, which we are going to pray will go away too. Hopefully, with this next round of chemo, any cancer cells will be completely gone too.

So, thanks for the continued prayers, as they are being heard; and his health continues to improve more and more each day ... we serve an AWESOME GOD, don't we? ... PTL ...

Asking for prayers for my cousin's daughter, Samantha....about 17...she seems to be pretty much OK but went through the windshield of a car in a crash on Thursday....she was airlifted to Las vegas with cracked upper and lower jaw bumps and bruises...in ICU for 2 days but seems to be ok for all she went through.

Prayers added for Tom and for Samantha!

Prayers for SAMANTHA for a quick & complete recovery are on their way ...

Talked to my cousin via e-mail tongiht...Sam is doing much better. Thank you for the prayers...
