Christian chicks losing weight
 

Hello and welcome all. The goal for starting this thread, is to have christian fellowship with other believers, to stay motivated and help others stay motivated.

I am 42 and at my last weigh in I was 195. I weigh in on Saturdays. I am 5'4 tall.
I watch Joyce Meyers on TBN, she is a great motivator. She talks about her weightloss and how she overcomes some of the obstacles we face everyday.

To kick start off this post I will leave you all with this scripture and prayer.

Psalm 103: 1-5
Bless the LORD, O my soul;
And all that is within me, bless His holy name!
Bless the LORD, O my soul,
And forget not all His benefits:
Who forgives all your iniquities,
Who heals all your diseases,
Who redeems your life from destruction,
Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,
Who satisfies your mouth with good things,
So that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.

Dear Father God, Bless all those who join this thread, and help them on their weightloss journey to acheive their goals this 2008. Amen

:wel3fc: KATHY ~ That verse is one of my favorites too, so positive and uplifting: I love the PSALMS. You are a beautiful lady and I saw your profile pic with your cute little baby too. Like BARGOO told you, we have a great Christian Thread in this Forum called CHRISTIAN ENCOURAGERS.

We'd love you to join us there, but you can start your own threads here too when you want to talk about things you are interested in. We don't get Joyce Meyer on our tv but I have one of her devotional books; I have relatives that are great fans of hers too.

I'm a big fan of BARBARA JOHNSON, and I just love her devotional book called "DAILY SPLASHES OF JOY " ... she is a Christian lady who has been through so much, but has a heart filled with joy and humor; and I just love her!

I did not know there was another christian thread. I will have to check it out. The baby in the picture with me, she is my granddaughter. My daughter is also expecting another baby the first week of July. So I will be grandma to two babies. hehe
