Christian Writers Group - anyone involved?
 

Hey everyone! I've been a 3FC member for about two years, and have never ventured here. I think I need to check it out!

Anyways, on to the point of my thread.

Two weeks ago, I started submitting articles to our local newspaper. Last week one was printed and earned quite a bit of attention. The attention wasn't based on the topic, but the fact that the article was well-written (I heard people talk about it at the post office and the grocery store! :o) Well, my pastor read the article and called me yesterday to ask me to pray about and research starting a Christian Writers Group. Well, I feel the Lord leading me that way, I love to share my faith through my writing, but I don't know where to start.

Is anyone involved in this type of group? If so, what is the mission and purpose of the group? Is there curriculum available or is it just based on group discussion and peer editing? Anything you can offer would be much appreciated!

I'm a member of American Christian Fiction Writers, the Faith, Hope and Love chapter of Romance Writers of America and Catholic Writers Online.

Each of these is basically an online support and information group.
