Tyra show tonight

  • Thought some of you might want to watch. It is going to be about Faith based diets (the weigh down workshop and maybe others). I am new to this forum but thought I would share.
  • I watched the show and other then Gwen's crazy hair (lol) I thought it was a good interview.
I did Weigh Down like 9 years ago at my church (you used to be able to create groups at churches and have 10 weekly meetings with workbooks, videos and audio tapes). I don't know if they still do that or not.
The principle is good. It focuses on the scripture "No temptation has over taken me ..." I Cor 10:13 and eating half of what you usually eat. Gwen teaches alot on enjoying each bite which is something I really struggle with. I have eaten the whole "thing" (insert food of choice) and not really tasted how yummy it was. She talks alot about making every bite the perfect most delicious bite. For example, a hamburger, if you like mayo and tomatoe and lettuce, onion and bacon, make sure that each bite has all of those flavors in it so that you are not eating that bite disappointed and hoping the next one is the "perfect bite".
I do however get a little concerned that she sounds or should I say people take her as a cult--they showed folks who had moved to the place where her church was headquartered just to be closer to her.
