Default Can Big Girls Do Pilates?????

I have never tried pilates because I am over 120 pounds overweight and assumed that I was too big to do it. Is it possible for someone my size to do pilates. Ive heard great things about it. Any feedback will be appreciated!!!

I think so. Get the beginners workout, I use winsor pilates. It gives alternative versions of each exercise. Before I started doing the actual video, I made myself stretch and stretch for a couple of weeks. I wanted to get the best possible workout. Can you rent it? Try it out and see what you think.

Default why not?

i have been doing pilates for many years and find it a wonderful toning, streching and strength building excercise.

if you have trouble moving about, just start with breathing.
do the 100 and just breath and move your arms, knees bent, feet on the floor.
as you "talk" to your body and familiarize yourself with the work out, you will gain stamina and your body will start "listening".

I have been toying around with the idea of creating a REAL beginners work out dvd for pilates using real woman to show how to start from just breathing....

also toying with the idea of getting certification so I can teach pilates.
i am no ~0 body fat demon pixie personal trainer~ by any means, just a girl in the trenches.
