Looking to buy a ball
Looking to get an exercise ball. Can anyone give me any reviews or brands that have worked better for them in the past? Thank you.

I bought one off the internet, and I wouldn't recommend that. It was a 65 cm ball, but I couldn't get it inflated to that size. I ended up buying a ball from a physical therapist and having them inflate it. The first one they brought out still wasn't 65 cm, so they inflated a different brand, and that's the one I purchased. I believe you need to check them out fully inflated before you buy them because you should be able to sit on one with your knees at about a 90 degree angle. If they're the wrong size, then your knees would be angled incorrectly.

I ordered my stability ball from an infomercial (Core Secrets with Gunnar Peterson) and I've been pretty happy with it. Only $10, and I got the ball, air pump, and dvd.
I've seen that they sell balls at Whole Foods, but they're pretty expensive (they're tie-dyed and look cool, but that's not necessary and probably not worth the extra money). I've never checked personally, but I wonder if sporting goods stores might sell them. There, you might be able to see how one looks inflated and check if it's a good size for you. Either way, I definitely recommend getting one. Good luck! :) |
They sell balls almost everywhere now that I've seen , WalMart etc... I bought mine at Winners for $20... Sorry I can't remember the brand name though...
