I'm posting a link to a post from a way back. It's mostly light-hearted but has some reality to it.
The two points I was trying to make were these ...
Fat is fat is fat is fat is fat ... no matter where it's at.
It is really to your advantage to learn as much about your body as possible. How it's made and how it works.

I agree with some of the earlier posts here. I think that a lot of the reason many people "hate exercise" is that they have this idea of what exercise is- it's "exercise X" (whatever seems the least palatable activity and which has come to represent all exercise- maybe going to the gym, or using an exercise bike, or running). It is probably often the most hated part of gym class- the one rotation that "ruined" the play and made it into work. For me this would be aerobics. If I thought of exercise as being aerobics, I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole!

But, thankfully, there are so many, many ways to increasing activity that I am sure that there is something just right for everyone. Something you'll find fun and interesting as well as (a little) exhausting. For me, there are racquet sports and hiking. For you, who knows, but I'm sure there is something, and you'll find it once you start looking. And once you've found it, you won't need to worry about motivation, because it will be one of the things you look forward to each week, not dread.

Just my 2 cents. There is no reason to punish yourself doing something you loathe when you can get the same benefit doing something that you love.
