pilates
good evening all!!
im new to this site (and already love it!). im hoping you can help me. im 25 and a teacher (i know, im real original with my name) and work after school 4 days a week as well starting in 3 weeks when school starts. fiiting in time for exercise will be tough, but something i really really really want to do. its hot out now and when winter comes it will be cold and dark at 7 when i get out of work. im thinking about buying some pilates or yoga videos to use as a core workout/stress reliever at the end of the day (i hope to go for a quickie run in the morning before i begin my day). can you suggest any? thanks guys! |
I don't use videos, but if you are going to do pilates I think it's best to do at least 2 or 3 classes before doing at home. The core work and breathing really need to be shown and your technique checked before you can do it effectively, and if your gonna be spending the time and money on dvds and videos you want to ensure your getting your money's worth.
Your plan sounds great. Pilates is such a good form of exercise, I really enjoy it. Think about buying a fitball/exercise ball too, they are great for pilates style workouts. |
Thanks for the advice. I dont belong to a gym (I prefer to workout outside) so finding a class may be difficult. But Im sure I can find one. I own a medicine ball and use that for abs but dont own a exercise ball. I;ve always wanted to get one but kept putting it off. excuses excuses.....

Suzanne Deason! I love her ball dvd and am looking to purchase her yoga and pilates. Check some out from your local library to see if you like them. She is great!
