Exercise Accountability -- June

New month, new day  time to set some bikini goals? I just have one goal and that's to get rid of this back fat that has suddenly popped up, EWWW... My goal is to exercise lots and eat clean...

Rebecca, I will bring your June goals over to this new thread...

mandalinn82 06-01-2006 12:10 PM

June Goals - Same as May. Seemed to work for me and be attainable:
25 cardio workouts
25 stability ball workouts
10 arm workouts
5 leg workouts
25 sets of 100 crunches

for a total of: 2000 minutes of exercise.

Today - did my cardio and my stability ball, plus crunches (75 min)

artmaker 06-01-2006 01:14 PM

Joining in...think I need this. My goal is to focus as much on my physical fitness as I do on those I am training at the gym. I need to up my walking/elliptical/cardio to 45 minutes, make sure I get a solid hour twice a week of upper body resistence training, and squat, squat squat throughout the week to get my butt and legs under control.

Susan

Hey SusanArtmaker, glad to see you here!! If you want a variety of squats the new Oxygen has 8 ways of doing squat ...

This morning I did some speed intervals for 25 mins, back workout and some lunges and squats on the Bosu ball...

My deal for June is fat burning. For a not very big gal I have this roll between my sweats and my tank. And it's toooo thick to be skin.
A la BFFM ... intensity is my thing for June. I've made a new tracker and I'm studying my HRM very carefully.

alwaysbelieve 06-01-2006 04:37 PM

Hello,

I want to set my goal to exercise for 5 days a week for the entire month of June. Plus add in 2 days of toning out of those 5 days. Put more focus on trying to tone my upper arms and thighs.

Rebeca 06-01-2006 04:39 PM

Ilene! You are so wonderful! I appreciate that very much! BUT pleaseeee lets not talk biniki! I am running from mine, but it keeps finding me! lol

Susan- I love your goals... I will get there one day!

Mandalin- You eat very healthy! Is that a diet or not really?

artmaker- dont we all need to guess our @$$es under control lol?

Rebeca 06-01-2006 04:39 PM

alwaysbelive- Gosh girl!!! How did you lose so much weight?

dustcatcher 06-01-2006 06:03 PM

My goal is to do some type of exercise at least 4 days a week at least 30 minutes at a time. If I do more, that is even better.
Today I did a Target Toning class (41) minutes, and rode the stationary bike 10 minutes.

srmb60 06-01-2006 08:31 PM

Today I jogged (or something slow sorta like jogging) for 12 minutes. Did weights for chest and triceps for 29 minutes. Aerobics for 11 minutes (because Jeopardy wasn't over yet) and then biked for 15.

Rebeca 06-02-2006 09:10 AM

790 Min for June's Goal! - 40 min done =750 Min. left
700 crunches for June's Goal!-70 crunches = 630 Crunches left

softballmom 06-02-2006 09:47 AM

Hello everyone! In June I want to make exercise my top priority, and this accountability thread should help. I tend to have a few good days, and then one "not a thing" day turns into several.
I've been doing my exercising right after work since I am not a morning person (though, would love to be: AM temp 63 vs 4PM temp 93 this week!)
Yesterday, did a 30min power walk with interval jogging and lots of water, then worked on weight machine (@ home) for arms and did ab work for about 30 mins. 1 hour total.

3fcuser1058250 06-02-2006 11:25 AM

Today is an active rest day for me, flower planting is the exercise of choice...

mandalinn82 06-02-2006 11:54 AM

A spring broke on my rebounder this morning (its common and easy to fix, just a pain to deal with) - so I did a kickboxing workout (48 min) that kicked my butt. This was after a 32 min stability ball session and 10 minutes on the rebounder before it broke. Total - 90 min (including 100 crunches)

sotypical 06-02-2006 12:27 PM

I am back this month and I will keep coming (I hope!) I did 80 min on my bike this morning. Went a total of 33.80 km!

So this month I would like to spend at least 1400 min on the bike. At least 200 min doing stability like pilates and my ball work out. And get in at least 200 min of other exercising like walking, roller blading, running, etc.

Good luck everyone!

alwaysbelieve 06-02-2006 01:03 PM

Rebeca Mostly I count calories, watch my carbs and exercise. I still have a ways to go to goal, but I am hanging in there.

alwaysbelieve 06-02-2006 01:05 PM

Got in my cardio and a some weight training today. If I can stick to my June goal, I hope to see some positive results.

It motivates me to read how everyone is dedicated to their exercise goals.

Rebeca 06-02-2006 04:39 PM

always- How many calories do you eat and how much exercise do you get daily?

Hi ~
I'm new to this thread & I like the idea of being accountable so I'm pledging a total of 44 miles for June (which is about 30-35 mins. daily M-F). I hope to do alot more, but I want to start out slowly for fear of burnout. Happy & healthy weekend to all!

harrypotterybarn 06-02-2006 10:00 PM

Well, my goal-free June has started out well. 1 hour of BodyPUMP and and hour of spinning today. :)

ETA: I also went out dancing last night. No clue on the calories burned, but much fun was had.

srmb60 06-03-2006 11:52 AM

I biked today for 43 minutes but only got my heart rate up for 39. This fitness thing is a double edged sword ;) I can get my rate up there but it's harder now and it drops back down really easily.

3fcuser1058250 06-03-2006 08:09 PM

:welcome: GenreGirl

No exercise for me today, my bad!

Susan, if your heart rate goes down quickly after working out it's because you are in good shape :D ...

srmb60 06-03-2006 08:24 PM

Yippee! I never thought anyone would say that about me!
Good Evening Ilene! and thank you. Is that itsy bitsy you running?
I got my bike ride in this morning and it's teamed rain since then. Back and biceps too.

mandalinn82 06-04-2006 12:44 AM

Today I got in: almost an HOUR of cardio (25 min on stairclimber, 30 min on stationary bike at 150 watts or more) in my target heart rate, a mega UB workout, and 15 min. in the pool to cool down afterward.

I'm beat, but it feels good. Tomorrow, the plan is to go canoeing. I hope my arms are up to it after today.

alwaysbelieve 06-04-2006 01:20 PM

Rebeca I average 1500 calories a day. Exercise I aim for l hour of cardio a day or 20-40 minutes of strength training.

alwaysbelieve 06-04-2006 01:22 PM

Today was my pilates, cardio, and strength training day for 1 hour.

3fcuser1058250 06-04-2006 01:29 PM

Susan, yes the pic is me, *I* am not small !! I feel like I look huge in that pic and need to go on a very restricted food plan...

Today I ran 8.4k...

mandalinn82 06-04-2006 07:31 PM

Today: Got in an hour and 40 minutes canoeing, relatively fast...We covered the entire lake today.

Add in 25 min of gardening (repotting and planting some new plants), and hopefully my stability ball workout and crunches later tonight. But so far, 100 minutes without the gardening (do I count gardening? Its one of those borderline activities for me...)

mandalinn82 06-05-2006 01:44 AM

Stability ball and crunches - done. A major test of willpower with my arms aching from the canoe and arm workout yesterday.

Total today - 135 minutes! Over 2 hours. Crazy.

softballmom 06-05-2006 07:48 AM

Check in for the weekend: Friday night was a bust. I ended up going with my just turned 16 yo, after work, to put in applications for the summer and I gave up on doing anything when we finally got home. But I did power walk 3 miles at the softball park Saturday morning with interval jogging (about 1/2 mile) before the first game. Glad I got it out of the way! The walking track was around a beautiful lake, but there was a fishing derby going on and between dodging duck poo and little fishers, maybe I burned a few extra calories? - LOL. Yesterday was my off day, and even though I thought about it, I decided to keep it as an off day.
Next two evenings will take more determination to exercise since I need to take my 16 yo son for a required Alcohol/Drug class in order for him to get his driver's license next week. It's in a different county so I will take my walking clothes/shoes just in case there is a park near by.
Good luck to the rest of you this week!

mandalinn82 06-05-2006 12:02 PM

This morning - Cardio kickboxing (45 min), Stability ball (30 min), and 100 crunches (plus the little mini ab workout at the end of the cardio kickboxing video. Nothing makes me sweat like kicking 25 times in a row.

sotypical 06-05-2006 12:12 PM

I havent exercised for the last two days because I have been sick :( Really tired and got a sinus cold with a bad headache. I am starting to feel guilty though so tomorrow I am back at it no matter what!

alwaysbelieve 06-05-2006 12:36 PM

Today was cardio 50 minutes, with pilates, and arm/legs reps.

srmb60 06-05-2006 07:27 PM

harrypotterybarn 06-06-2006 01:05 AM

Just BodyPUMP today because work ran too long to hit the spinning class. Ah well, just means there'll be spinning tomorrow!

Rebeca 06-06-2006 09:57 AM
