Yesterday I had no formal exercise, but I danced for a few hours to Big Bad Voodoo Daddy ~ they were awesome!
Today I did PT, lifted weights, am golfing 9 holes (walking) and then going to a reggae concert. I am going to sleep well tonight. I am leaving tomorrow morning to go camping. |
didn't take my own advice....
I was getting a little cocky thinking I'd probably workout 6 times this week instead of my goal of 5..... Well, as it happens, I didn't get my cocky butt outta bed this a.m.:nono: It doesn't look like I'll have another opportunity today (unless, of course, I make one :( ), but I'll definitely workout tomorrow (swim) and Saturday (run or bike). NEXT week perhaps I can get to 6....
Pamela - Sounds to me like you're doing great even though you'd prefer biking. The important thing is that you're still doing SOMETHING! Way to go :D . Dena - I'm so glad my motto helped you! Sorry I can't say the same for me (physician heal thyself???:( ) But you're doing great and I'm proud of ya for ignoring the desire to "just skip it" like I did :lol: . Sherryi - Uuuuugggghhhh! I can't believe the heat you're having to deal with :devil: . The fact that you went to the gym anyway makes you the official winner of the "nothin's gonna stop me" contest!!!! As for the no carb type diets. My problem with it is simply that it's a "diet." I don't like diets..... But I certainly don't begrudge anyone that it works for. Different strokes, etc. Good luck with your plan - whatever you decide :) . Morrigan - You got them dancin' feet - just be careful of that knee ;) . Enjoy the reggae! |

I thought I'd do something different today. I did Tae Bo this morning and walked with my hubby for 1/2 hour at lunchtime. I will walk for 1/2 hour after dinner, too. Jusdoit, there's still time for you to do that 6th day workout. Don't forget Sunday.:D (By the way, if I had to get up at the crack of dawn to go swimming, I couldn't do it.) You're doing an awesome job! Morrigan, dancing IS exercise. You probably burned at least 600 cals an hour! Super! Sherryi, 108?!!!! I must applaud you for going to the gym! Now that's inspirational! I didn't exercise yesterday. It was 114 & too HOT to do anything except chill out & relax. I probably won't exercise tonight b/c I'm getting my hair done after work. I will go to the gym Sat morning for kickboxing and weights. I was going to beat myself up for not exercising but then realized that I've still done pretty good this week--my goal was to use the weights 3 times this week & Sat's session will put me there. Morrigan-Dancing is so FUN! I love reggae music. It sounds like you have a very active life :) Dena-Taebo is fun! Billy Blanks can be very motivating. JustDoIt-don't beat yourself up. At least you exercised 5 times instead of none. Your body was telling you to rest. Hope everyone has a great Friday & weekend! |
FRIDAY!!!!
I just barely managed to squeeze in a 30 minute run this morning. It was actually a swim day but after I hit the snooze button on the alarm SIX TIMES I only had time for a run.:nono: Oh well, it still counts. That's 4 down and 1 to go for goal.
Dena - Tae Bo sounds great and walking with hubby sounds even better :love: . I like your idea about still making my 6 day workout goal by using Sunday, unfortunately, my exercise journal starts on Sunday and ends on Saturday so that would be cheating :s:. But next week I'll get there! Hope you're having a great weekend and that your Friday out-of-town was for fun not work :D . Sherryi - Oh, you poor girl! That heat is UNBELIEVABLE. Definitely wise NOT to workout. Besides, your muscles will be well rested for your Saturday morning kickboxing and you'll have a great workout :) . Congrats on the weight goal for the week :D . I went bike riding this morning and then did the rubber band excercises for toning. It was an amazing ride: I saw so many rabbits and birds plus I saw an adolescent deer! That's the closest I've ever been to one. I can't believe how much easier it is for me to do things. I made it all the way around the lake 6 minutes shorter than the last time I did it a month ago (I usually don't do that since there are so many people, but I was up early). The different hills are getting easier and easier:) Keep up the good work everyone. I had my weigh in for my Losing 50 pounds after baby board and I didn't lose anything this week. Didn't gain either but it's still a little frustrating. I'm strong though!

Hi guys! I did 4 miles on the treadmill today. I felt tempted to also do step aerobics since I went out to dinner last night, but I don't want to overdue it. Sometimes I feel like I am becoming borderline obsessive about exercising and wanting to do too much!
Sherryi--I can't believe the heat you have to live in. YUCK. Hopefully it will cool down soon. Saggy |
