Yoga Shoes

Have you got them? Like them? Are they as useful as they are cute? :)

I was thinking about something like these or a pair of Footundeez.

I used to wear the capezio footundeez for modern dance. They make barefoot dancing MUCH more comfortable (no rips and blisters from doing multiple turns), but for yoga I would think being barefoot on a yoga mat would be more comfortable.

I always do yoga barefoot.

Those footundeez look cool for kickboxing, but I don't think they'd cover the place where I get the most blisters anyway! I'd probably get laughed out of class too!

Seriously though, I've never worn shoes for yoga!

I don't wear shoes for yoga either. I've just been to a big yoga show and didn't see anyone wear shoes.

Some of the ladies in my class are a bit self concious about their feet and wear socks, both those options look better than socks. You need a bit of traction even on the grippiest of mats.

I took a yoga class but was self-conscious of my bare feet (bad nails). I wore socks but the instructor told me to take them off. I quit the class. I guess yoga is not for me.

Only if you let it hold you back. Trust me, in my yoga class, I couldn't look at someone else's feet if I tried to. I am too focused on what I am doing to worry about anyone else's feet (or butt or what have you) and everyone else in the class is focused on themselves as well, so if you want to do yoga go and do it for YOU. :)
