Squat question

  • So I have been challenging myself to squats daily since last week, and this week I am adding other exercise in addition to the daily squat challenge. I do anywhere from 60 to 100 a day (or more) but not all at once. I do anywhere from 20 to 30 throughout the day. I am definitely seeing a difference which is exciting.

However, the problem is that I see a difference overwhelmingly on the Left side only, with only some change in the right. I've even had a friend and then a family member check my form, and they said it looks ok. The only other thing I can think of is something else I'm doing during the day, like crossing my legs, or putting most of my weight on one side when I stand. Not really sure though.

So my question is how do I fix this?? Do some sort of extra exercise on the right side?? Or just try to keep good form and hope the right side catches up?
  • Try some unilateral exercises to diagnose/remedy strength discrepancies between sides. Eg. Lunges, step ups, rear elevated split squats, etc.

If you are concerned about it, or if it gets worse very quickly, check with a physician to make sure it's not a symptom of something more serious than a stronger left leg. 😊
