Lena: THANK YOU for posting about this! I've been wanting a pedometer for awhile, but I wasn't sure what to get. I finally broke down and bought one on ebay yesterday. The seller has already shipped it! I can't wait to start walking

Ellis and Lena you are making me ! I so wish there was a 4 second rule for eating. I would be so thin right now!

Well I've had a bout of the lazies so I didn't get as many walks in over the weekend as I thought I would but right now I'm at 47 miles. I am planning a three mile tonight so I'll be at 50 miles and I know if I get to 50 I'll make the 60 mile goal by Feb 28. I hope so because I really want this pedometer. Also I just ordered the George Foreman walking workouts from this site:
http://www.christianbook.com/Christi...N&item_code=WW
It's only $7.99 and if you use code 234625 in the promotions box you'll get free shipping. It's 4 walking workouts, a pedometer, diet plan and a booklet. What a deal! I just couldn't pass this one up. I usually use Leslie Sansone walks but this was such a great deal I thought I'd pass it on to you all!

Wow! What a great price, Ras! Thanks for the link, hon!
Hey, you're doing great with the walking... good grief! How many steps are you TAKING! Wait a minute... is that for the month? Okay, I'm with you. I thought it was the weekend. (sorry about that. heh heh)

I saw my trainer today. He asked me how it was going with the 5000+ steps a day, and when I said, "GREAT!" he said, "Good. Up it to 6500+" CURSES!!

Ladyfire, I hope you get your pedometer soon... Happy walking.

Oh, guess what? I've lost 6.5 pounds in the two weeks I've been on my program!!

I hope everyone else is doing well!!

Hey Lena,
I took your advice and got a pedo made by Omron. mine was only 17 bucks though at walgreens. Was that the same kind as your old pedo? Even if I have to pay 20 more bucks, it'd be worth it to have an accurate pedo. The lady at the store said I could take it back after I opened it if I got the wrong one.

Wow, wow, wow! If it's the HJ-112 and you found it for $17, you got one fantabulous deal! Congratulations! And happy steppin' to ya!

For anyone interested, I got my Omron HJ-112 for $17.59 + $8.95 s/h. That's still about $8 cheaper than you can find it anywhere else. It's a buy-it-now auction that's going on for another 3 days. PM me if you'd like a link to it.

Go go go! Do it! That's a great deal! The only thing better than getting a great product is getting it at nearly half price!

Lena I agree, laughing is the best thing for you! Thanks for the compliment. I've been trying to reach my goal of 60 miles this month and I think I'll be able to do it.

Ellis-when I see a good deal I have to pass it along ! That's funny you thought I did all that walking in a weekend! I wish! I would be a super star. On another board I post on I know a woman that gets 30,000 steps in a day because she works in a restuarant and is on her feet all day! That's more then I get in 3 days ! I try to get in about 10,000 steps a day but on many days I fall short of that. In fact I know I have to do a workout as soon as I get off work today. Need those steps and those miles!

hoodj0080-I agree you got a great deal and if it isn't the right one you can always take it back which is really cool! I guess I'll be at WalMart this weekend !

Have a great weekend everybody and keep walking!

Actually lena, i didn't get the great one for that cheap! Sorry to confuse you. I asked what model you had first. It turns out I got the wrong one. I returned it. however, the HJ-112 is on sale at walmaryt.com for only 18.74!!!! I'm going tomorrow to my walmart to convice them to order one for me. I'm cheap and don't want to pay the 8 bucks for shipping, lol!

Default Pedometer

Thanks for all the info, I ordered one today from Walmart because the local stores don't stock them. My S&H was $5.99. I've never used one before but am curious as to the number of steps I take. Maybe being conscience of the amount will motivate me to walk more.

Neat idea, walmart.com! Good thinking, Hood and Maureen! I didn't even think about that!

I'm starting week 3 of using it and I'm just pleased as punch with it. As Dance said, it's really motivating me to walk more. I'm actually looking for opportunities to walk, and that's really a first for me. I'm the original parking lot circler -- I'd circle the lot for 30 minutes trying to get that "close" spot!

Enjoy your new pedo!

I just bought this pedometer yesterday - it is so great I am also so shocked at how much movement I DON'T do. It has been a real eye opener. I had a really busy (or so I thought) day yesterday and only managed to do 4200 steps... so I have made my monthly goal to do 7500 on average per day... I am really going to need to get I think it could also be a wee bit addictive

Thanks for the recommendation!
