Newbie to Curves

Hello Everyone! :)

I joined Curves a week ago today! I have been going every day they are open. Which is everyday except Sunday.

They open up early enough so that I can drop my son off at his daycare, go to Curves, workout, go home & change, and go to work, With out being late! ;)

I really enjoy it!!

I reached a point to where I didn't want to look in the mirror because I didn't like what I saw. And I diffentely didn't want to step on the scale's because of what they would say. I wanted to do something about it, so I called and joined Curves. I had read some of the previous posts. And it helped make up my mind as to where I wanted to start. THANK YOU!

I have a looooooong ways to go, but I know I can do it. :cb:
I'm On A MISSION! :spin:

Hope You Have A GREAT Weekend! :dizzy:

Curves for 1 month yesterday...

Hey there,
I joined Curves December 19th. I haven't went like I should and I was weighed today and had gained 2 lbs but they measured me again and I lost a total of 5.50 inches. It's hard for me to believe I lost that many inches, but I'm gonna keep going and hopefully lose some pounds too. Good luck with joining an maybe we could buddy up for some curves support!!

I totally agree that the Threads here are inspirational! :goodvibes

I weighed today. And in 8 days, I have lost 4 1/2 pounds! YEAH!!

I won't get measured until the 12th of February.

I'm in a 24W now, it would be AWESOME to be in a 22 or 20 by then!
(I know I'm probably doing some wishful thinking, But I can dream!!) :dizzy:

It was good way to end my week. Especially since my son has had a high fever for 3 days now! I took him to the doctor yesterday, and she said it's most likely a viral infection and antibiotics wouldn't help, BUT if he continues to have a high fever and it's not going down in a couple of days, to call. (NOT STREP, they did a Strep test)
My son will be 3 in March. He's only had a fever ONE other time! And that was on his 2nd birthday. Stomach Bug. He was a "DREAM" baby!! And my First to boot!! :smug: (And only to date) So needless to say, Momma's Concerned.

My Hubby has been wonderful enough to be with him while I go to Curves. :)

Hope You Have A WONDERFUL Weekend!!

I love      Curves!

I highly recommend Curves to gals of all ages, weights and levels of fitness. I have made some nice friends there too and that's an added incentive to go and work out.

I've been going 3x a week for just over two years now and it's the first time in my life I've stuck to any kind of exercise :carrot:

thats is great!! :carrot:

how hard do u work every day? You know you should only work it hard 3 times a week and then work lighty/cardio .
Over working it wont help in the long run, u will burn youre muscle youre trying to build.

Glad u enjoy it so much, I know I look forward to going every time its great to relieve stress/ frustration.......

I'm a Curves girls also!

I am on my 3rd week of workouts and 2nd week of the 6 week challenge. I have lost 4 pounds, yeah! I have noticed that Curves has been really good for my mental well-being. Struggling with weight can be depressing...but getting moving helps.

I work it hard every other day. I was told that by one of the ladies who works there.

I missed yesterday. :(
First time since joining....
I spent all day at the hospital with my son & hubby. Yesterday was the 6th day my son had a high fever and the doctor wanted him to go for some tests (blod & urine) & a chest x-ray. The longest part was waiting for my son to go pee. He just wouldn't do it at the hospital. (He'll be 3 in March) So finally, the LAB told us to go home and try tomorrow. We got home and he peed in the U-bag. So we had to run it back up there. In the mean time, his doctor calls and tells us that the chest x-ray revealed that he has a slight touch of bronchitis and pneumonia. So now he's on antibiotics and on the road to recovery! YEAH!! :)

Tonight I am not missing!! I really missed it yesterday!

Hope Everyone is well!

liljoesmom03 01-26-2006 05:49 PM

Yes, He's doing MUCH MUCH Better!! He's normal, temperature wise and acting wise. Today was his first day back at daycare. He missed it.

I know all about having your week thrown off. This week has been off for me too! With my son home sick, I wasn't able to get to Curves in the morning like usual. And I had to miss work... One thing after another....*sigh*

Tomorrow is FRIDAY!! :carrot:

I weighed this morning at Curves and I've lost another 1 1/2 pounds! YEAH!!
I've lost 6 pounds in 13 days! :dizzy:

I just hope next week is a "normal" week. Well, as normal as it can be. ;)
