What's Your Fave Exercise???

Though this would be a good topic for a thread! Plus I like to see what exercises other people do. I love going to the gym, watching others and picking up new exercises.

I personally love doing legs. Wall sits, lunges and dead lifts are my faves...my friends dread coming to the gym with me. I'm not one for machines. More for the free weights. Sometimes I think I do too many leg workouts. I have a pear-shaped figure so my hips and my thighs are bigger than my upper body. Anyone have any suggestions that would work to make my muscles leaner rather than bigger?

So what do you like to do at the gym???

Have a great one!! ;)

I had posted info on circuit training that u could read. It will give u a burn and may help u with ur problem area. Try it and it will likely work. It won't help u build huge muscles it will get u firm and help u cut and lose weight at the same time. It's very good for people who are in time constraints, who are at a plateau, and those of us who have specific problem areas. U can add in extra exercises instead of weights too. Adding lunges, and squats instead of weight and add weights to these exercises later on. But do cardio too along with it. I think this is what jessica simpson did too to decrease here butt and hip size for that duke movie. Don't quote me on that but I am fairly sure I read that in In-touch. Either way this will help u with ur hips and keeping ur weight loss goals in check.
Here's the link :http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/showthread.php?t=73097
or look for the thread in exercise : How much is enough.

Good luck with ur program!

I love swimming, that's my absolute favourite. I have developed a love of fitball crunches and press ups, which amazes me, because I used to hate ab work, but I adore fitball. I think it confuses my brain and makes it think it's having fun LOL

I love weight training too, especially shoulders, now I have nice ones!!!

I love swimming--but don't get around to do that often (esp. consider during winter, the pool is only opened 3 days a week.... during work hours)

My fave indoor exercise would definitely be the "ab bicycle crunch" -- very exhausting but leaves a very satisfying burn on my tummy :)

Kickboxing without a doubt! :hyper:

But my favourite weight exercise is a squat or a deadlift. :D

Swimming ranks high on my list but I do not do much of it in the winter as it sucks to be shivering afterwards at the bus stop.
I like walking even though I have to do it slowly and I do an exercise with a fitness ball that involves squats which I enjoy.
I also love my WATP video.

I can't believe I'm about to say this, but running. It actually gets me out into the park near where I live, and people smile at me and say hello. As well as being good exercise (sorry great exercise), it makes me feel more connected with my environment.

I don't like it so much in the gym, as the treadmill is rather dull though :(

I love rebounding, I do it almost every day.

My favorite weight exercise is the skullcrusher. Don't really have a favorite cardio exercise, but I prefer a variety.

Trusylver 01-27-2006 03:27 AM

I am new here but my vote is also for squats and deadlifts :D

I love squats. I really can not tell you why but I do. I like to walk. I can not wait until the spring and summer so I can walk in local parks rather than on the treadmill. I like water aerobics because the resistance in the water is no joke. I also like Taebo and Pilates. Variety is key for me. I get bored. Two new things I want to try are urban rebounding and lap swimming.

My favourite cardio is defenitly the cross trainer. I always jump off with a huge smile on my face.

Weights, not sure. I've only just started them regurally, but I really enjoy anything with my arms, because I know how weak they are, and the burn feels good.

Fav cardio - walking - treadmill at about 7% incline for now - looking to increase!
Fav strength/tone - squats, followed by abs. LOVE the burn!

badminton and table tennis

Fav cardio -- running outside! Bosu skipping a new fav I forgot about ...
Fav gym exercise hmmmm too many to mention for each body part I have a favourite... For legs I love walking lunges, bosu lunges, bosu squats, wall sits, ball curls, squats pops... anything core...

Sunny -- for trimming legs try to find a cardio that is very very intense that burns a LOT of fat. For me it has been jogging/running in 2 years I have lost 3 inches on my thighs alone... Also make sure your eating plan is squeaky clean and healthy without processed foods....
