Had a dinner date w/a work friend last night, so nothing much to update!
Patch: Hope your back feels better soon, and you are absolutely right to modify. Those walks don't sound easy! Nettie: I'm glad your hubby is keeping you from exercising -- it /really/ doesn't sound like a good idea to be working out hard when you're sick to your stomach! I have workouts to make up this weekend too, so we'll both have tales to tell! :) Hope everyone has a happy, healthy weekend, and I'll see you all on Monday! |
Hi everyone! I've been absent from logging on for a few days. I hope you are all having a good weekend.
Patch: Welcome back! I just joined this forum at the end of May. I've been on 3FC longer but just started with this thread. I hope your back is feeling better so you can walk. I love to walk but I am not a racewalker or anything like that. I like to do Breathwalking, which is a combo of yoga-like breathing and walking - it is very relaxing and ups the aerobic intensity. And sometimes I just walk if I can get someone to walk with me. Copperblu: Glad you are enjoying the yoga. It is harder than a lot of people think. I can't wait til next Sat. when my Yoga instructor will be back from NM and I can have a real class. By the way, I took a tip from you and did some exercises in the office last week - wall push ups and chair squats and other stuff. Then I walked up and down the steps on all the floors in our building. We had a lot of rain Thurs. and Friday and I couldn't get out to walk or swim and I slept through my alarm and didn't do my morning routine, so at least it was something. Nettie: I hope you feel better soon. That would be awful - 5 weeks of TOM. The only time I had several weeks of it was the first TOM I got after my baby was born. I didn't think it would ever stop. My TOM alternates between a piece of cake one month and pain in the butt the next. I got TOM this week and was pretty crampy and bloated. That might be why my scale seems to be stuck. Well - Thurs. and Friday weren't very good workout days for me as I said. Today I did a lot of work around the house. I also stood for about 3 hours pitting cherries from our cherry trees. I tried to do in-place aerobic dancing while I did it to keep my legs and back from stiffening up. The rain finally ended and I got about 45 minutes of swimming in. I have a new plan I want to stick to because I really think I need to do weights to up my muscle so my metabolism goes up. I want to do weights in the AM, swimming or walking sometime during the day or early evening, and yoga at night. I hope I can stick to it. I just have to make my alarm louder because lately I can sleep right through it. That's it for now! |
Hey there gals:
Well I tried to take it easy, and did about 3 miles pretty slowly on Saturday, rested Sunday doing only a very slow walk for about 1/2 miles. Today Monday, I'm supposed to go to the track, but I am still having back pain so it'll be Physical Therapy instead. This weekend - as always is just so hard for me to conform to WW plan. We went out with my husband's business associates and I had 2 drinks and ate a bunch of food. Yes I wrote it down after the fact and did about 35 points on Saturday and 45 on Sunday. It aggravates me that I let stress and frustration affect me this way. Normally I'd walk it off today during track, but backwise, not a good idea. Any suggestions??? Patch |
