Pilates?
I plan to start walkin once this stupid storm is gone. But in addition to that I'd love to start doin Pilates.
My best friend told me its a little less stressful on your back. Is that true? |
Pilates is really good - and makes your core feel strong and you feel leaner - it helps you loose inches.
But if you're looking for something a little less strenuous on your back you might want to try exercises on the stability ball. It actually feels great on my back. I had a former love for Pilates but now I'm switching to the ball. Let me know if you have any questions! |
Yea. I sorta need something that wont put as much stress on my back.
What is this stability ball? LOL I've never heard of it. Is it something I can get somewhere in town? |
Oh wait, boyfriend said that its the ball they put between me and the wall when I had physical therapy. (I just asked him :dizzy: )
Thats a good idea...may have to look into that... When i was in physical therapy they had me put it between me and the wall and made me do squats....Hmmm.. Thanks. |
Pilates will help you develop strength in you back, but you might actually find that it puts strain on your back at first. I know when I started I had to do the beginner or modified poses because my back and abs weren't strong enough.

I think the Crunch Pilates video is really good. It's pretty simple too. But like the person above said, the stability ball works great too.
