Yesterday I got in another 40 minute walk at lunch time, but I started feeling bad last night, so nothing last night, or probably all day today either.

Libbysmom03- I started out with Weight Watchers, which got me through losing my first 20 pounds. I've since switched to straight calorie counting, but I still use the WW points as a guide to keep fat in check and fiber in mind.

Default football season!!!!

I just love this time of year! It means things are going to cool down soon and we can enjoy the high school football games. I went to my son's first one last night, and it was hotter than hadies!!! But the cool is comeing.
55 min wed afternoon on treadmill and 20 min weights, 65 minutes yesterday on the treadmill. (will go this afternoon for 65 min and weights). Girls, my clothes are fitting so much better!!! I have a closet of things to choose from now. I refused to buy bigger sizes for the last six months, and have only been wearing stretchy things. Now I can wear real clothes!! Wahoo!!!!
Have a great weekend girls!!

Default meal plan

Libby,
I count calories and fat with fit day. I eat nothing processed if I can help it, and try to keep the fat to minimum and the protein to a maximum. Basicaly I eat lots of veggies, fruit, whole wheat bread, chicken, tuna, an egg here and there, cottage cheese, etc.... and no sugar. I try to eat a good breakfast, mid morning snack, good lunch, afternoon snack, and early dinner. 1200-1400 calories is my goal....closer to 1400 but never under 1200.

Caprice-Where in TX do you live?? I am in Lake Charles, LA-just right there beside TX and I know what you mean about the heat and FOOTBALL!!! WOOHOO!

So your typical day would be what menu wise??

I'm so happy for you about your clothes...I can't wait for that day to come! I so want things to start loosening up a bit. Someone told me today that she could tell I was losing...but I don't see how...scale not moving and clothes pretty much the same. Oh well...I took the compiment though...felt good.

Betani-I was thinking about joining WW to get me going. I like the idea of the support and weigh in...I did WW once before and quit after a month b/c I was not losing..but I was exercising and like this time around...no weight loss either. I think my body just reacts differently and it just may take a while for it to start letting go of the weight. I just want to see results soooo badly!!

Great job ladies...your exercise is AWESOME!!!

Hello everyone
I have worked my tail off today (I hope). I got in my 3 miles walk/run early this morning before it got too hot. I came home and shampooed all the carpet in the house (two-story house with lots of carpet) and then I made a Walmart run. I plan on doing a small workout on my gazelle tonight if my energy level holds out.

Well, I was under the weather over the weekend, but I did manage to squeeze in 5 days worth of exercise, by virtue of some vigorous housework yesterday.

Today so far, 40 minutes walkaerobics this morning, and a 40 minute brisk walk at lunch time.

Default Another week.....

Wow, what a storm!! I feel so for those poor people, please know you are in my prayers.
I managed to get 55 min treadmill yesterday and 65 this morning....
Libby, I live south of Houston and we visit Lake Charles pretty frequently (casino junkies). My normal day consists of: two slices of seven grain bread with fat free butter spray, sometimes I add a poached egg for protein, Lunch could be a good salad, or a sandwich with low fat lunch meat, leftover chicken, lots of greens and veggies, or a baked potatoe with fat free sour cream and fat free butter spray. Dinner could be a salad, baked chicken, and frozen veggies, or a variation of the lunch and dinner.....always have two snacks..one in the morning and one in the late afternoon....an apple with fat free vinegrette dressing, strawberries with cottage cheese, etc.... I am never hungry....honest!! I also do not eat after 8pm.
My weight loss is coming slowly, but it's comeing. And yours will start to show...just don't give up, and look ahead......

Sniffly and stuffy, I'm still getting back on track. Adding to yesterday, 40 minute brisk walk at lunch, and 30 minutes with dumbells at night.

This morning, 40 minutes Walkaerobics again.

Hey ladies...did not get my cardio in yesterday. I was exhausted. Since my husband works in the news he had to go in Sunday morning to get ready for Katrina. He finally came home last night at 5:00 p.m. I was up all Sunday night not able to sleep, concerned about the storm. Although we are 3 hrs from New Orleans I was worried for the folks there. As I suppose I should have been. My thoughts and prayers go out to folks in New Orleans, Mississippi, and Alabama. SO SO Sad.
Caprice-That is funny that you come here often. Have you been to the new casino here? We went Sat. night and it is awesome. Well I decided to join WW on Sat. I went and joined with a girl I work with and we are doing it together. I started yesterday and so far so good. I am really liking it. I am ready to get back to the gym today. I did go to the gym on Sat. to make it 5 days of cardio last week. I missed last Tuesday so I made it up on Sat. but didn't do anything on Sunday. I really am trying to get in 6 days. I work out with trainer today. We will do back and shoulders. I need to have a really strong work out today. I am in withdrawls since I have been off for 2 days. I guess that is a good thing huh?
Betani-I just noticed your goals you have set for yourself. Is that 525 min of cardio and 504 oz of water? I was just being nosey
Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Hi, Libbysmom

The minutes is total for exercise, both cardio and strength training. And the water is ounces. It's something we're doing in the Habit Formers Challenge over in the challenge forum. Check it out sometime!

Hello all,
This is just a quick posting . I didn't get in my normal amount of exercise today because I had my ICU rotation today but I know that I at least walked for an hour today. I will try to do something tonight before I go to bed. I have a paper that is due in a few hours so I had better get it finished.
There is nothing like working under pressure!!!

Unhappy why, oh why????

So I weighed-in yesterday...to my surprise - I've gained 2lbs. I really don't understand why. I've been working out - hard - 5 days a week. I've been eating right....where in the world did these 2lbs come from?

Y'know what....now that I think about it....for the last couple of weeks I've been eating a Jack in the Box Chicken Club salad with my own fat-free dressing. I wonder how much calories and fat the salad has? I have been eating the crutons and the bacon bits. I wonder.....

I'm very upset about this. I really pushed myself last week to burn at least 400 calories per workout AND do weights.

BUMMED....

Berlin-Don't get frustrated...you will probably be down 4 next week...the chick salad may have something to do with it if it is something new you have been eating. I'll be anxious to see your next weigh in!

Did chest and back yesterday-Trainer was sick-did 35 min of cardio-Meet with trainer today for legs-Probably won't be able to walk tomorrow
