Jump Rope Dillemma
I thought I might like adding jump rope to my exercise repertoire. I did a little research on the subject today, and I only find one problem. Shoes.
I just do NOT have the money to invest in another good pair of shoes. The ones I bought a few months ago are walking shoes, not cross-trainers (which is recommended for rope jumping). A short while ago, I was thumbing through the Footsmart catalog and came across something interesting. For $4, you can get a pair of ball-of-foot cushions to wear inside existing shoes. These particular cushions might not cut the mustard where athletics are concerned, but the concept got me wondering: Is there some kind of athletic shoe insert out there for the ball of the foot? If so, would it be adequate enough to protect my knees? |
