Great job Cathy! You've inspired me, I'd planned to take the day off, but now I'm going to do 2 miles. Thanks. We've got a b-day party to attend today and I know I'll be eating more than I should so a couple miles will help. I am making a large lettuce salad with loads of veggies for my dish to pass. Hopefully I can stick to that and one brat. This WI girls loves her brats, but you can keep the beer lol

I was up at 5:00 this morning and out the door by 5:15 to get in my walk. I got 3 Miles in today --- I never did get in the 2 I hoped to yesterday, but I was very busy :yes: And this morning when I got home from my walk I spent another 40 minutes watering and weeding my gardens (then it rains :dizzy: ) ... everything looks so beautiful right now. It is the first year I am able to bring in some cuttings and have my own flowers in vases. Here are a couple pictures for you all to see. Sunny, You said the nicest things to Michelle. You are just the sweetest......are your flowers hydranges (spelling?) whatever they are, they are beautiful. Great job on another 3 miles. I'm going to have to get my butt in gear before you blow by me!! I love the stars and stripes, thanks..........I did really great at my party and stayed on program well. I focused on the people around me rather than the food. When I got home though I got started on a binge. I suppose rewarding myself for good party behavior!?!?!, BUT I'm really proud of myself I was about 800 cals into the binge when I headed to get the ice cream and stopped. I got on the TM and slowly started my 2 miles I said I'd do today. I ended up adding weights and doing a whole upper body routine. I never went over 3.5 mph, but now I'm writing to you all and I have no desire to eat. Thanks to all of you for being here and thanks to the 3 lovely sisters who made it possible for me to have you all in my life!!

Joe & I are going out for breakfast this morning, so I wanted to be sure and get in my walk. The park is so full of mosquitoes we aren't able to go now --- well, unless you want to bathe first in repellant :no: So I got up and went early - I was out the door at 4:50am - before the Robins began to sing. I heard the first song at 5:05 this morning, beautiful. And my hubby is still fast asleep. That's why I came in right away to post, he has a day off today and we are heading out (whenever he gets going) for breakfast together and then on to Wal-Mart. We have some vitamins and bathroom things we need ;) Also, I am going to get my sister one of the insulated cups I have... they are so nice - it is a 64oz (8 glasses) mug for only $4.00 if my memory serves me correctly. I love it because I know what I am (or am not) getting in as far as water for the day. Sometimes I drink that and then fill it again and almost get that all in too. Today I will need it! We splurged last night and got a pizza - we have had pizza in a looong time... now I am so puffy from the salt! I will be drinking allot of water to flush some of that out of me today. *KRISTI* Yep, they are Hydrangeas and Red Astillbe :) So glad you like... As far as walking... that's how I felt in the last month with you and the others, being I wasn't well - I couldn't keep up and I was bummin' out :lol: You are doing just fine, what with raising children and taking care of your home. Out the door before 5am again Sunny!!!!! I don't know how you do it. I open our store every morn at 6am and most days I hate it. I am a natural early riser, but I think the having to do it spoils it!!!.........Michelle, Right back at you girl!!..................I had no idea, but it turns out Dh is planning to take most of the day off today. He's allready mentioned Pizza Hut buffet ( aghhhhhhhh ) this didn't fit into todays plan of totally back on track. Life happens though and we need to live it. Thankfully I only goaled a 3# loss for this month. The way it's going I'll have to drop it all in 1 wk lol...7 y/o learned to ride a 2 wheeler at my SIL yesterday. It was real easy for her. In less than an hr she was even pushing off and starting herself. Before 8am today she had her bike out of the garage and sitting right by the deck wanting the training wheels off lol..she's off and riding....Have a great day everyone!! planning 2 miles and leg work this morning.

Great job Cathy!!!! It's getting late and I still haven't worked out, but I'm still determined. We went to see Prisoner of Azkaban today. I thought it was a good movie, but DD, who's read the book said she didn't like it. She said they rushed through it and left too much out. Of course I ate loads of popcorn, but it was really good lol

Good Morning Gang!
This morning I did another 30 minute 2 mile WATP w/2 lb handweights from start to finish. I am sore from my strength training workout yesterday but oh well, that is just the way it goes. I won't be exercising tomorrow morning because I have a doctors appt at 8:00 and I don't want to drink a bunch of water before weighing in. I haven't walked today yet - I was really tired, so I slept in till 5:15 this morning and had to get Joe's lunch ready & get him out the door. I felt like I needed the rest, so will get my 2 miles in later today. And tomorrow I will go to Curves in the morning. Monday they were closed and I cannot go today... What a day Joe & I had yesterday! We had a nice breakfast out yesterday and then had a FULL day shopping! We went to Wal-Mart for bathroom supplies, the Pet Store for food supplies and cat harnesses (so the boys could go outside with us - they love it - just like puppies, so cute!), Lunch at Tony Roma's (they have a Low Carb Menu now-nice!) ~ I had Bar-B-Q Chicken (with No-Carb sauce), steamed broccoli w/garlic and a salad & Joe had a Chicken Ceaser Salad; then on to Target we went... We don't have a sleeper-sofa any more (& we have company coming in Aug.) so we got an air bed at Target. We got the Eddie Bauer Brand ($69.00-Queen Size) - it was allot cheaper and just as nice as the Aero Air Mattress ($179.00-Queen size). It comes with it's own compressor and inflates in 90 seconds and the compressor can be switched around to pull the air out when you want to deflate it --- we had it deflated and put into the carry bag it comes with in about 3-4 min. This one is battery operated with 4 D-cell batteries. The Aero is electric... but for as often as we would use it (& the price difference!) we thought the Eddie Bauer was a much better deal. Besides... you can use the battery operated one anytime or anywhere (no electric needed), which makes it very convenient. We just take the batteries out after we finish with it before we store it away. It's great! When Joe & I inflated ours yesterday we both *napped on it for an hour or so (*note --- only napped :lol: ) --- we were just so tired from the day --- shopping is allot of hard work :^: :smug: It's real soft on top and I like the color of it too. It's very comfortable and will use reg. sheets. We already have a Q-size bed, so we didn't have to buy any more sheets. So Nice. So if anyone is looking for an Air Bed - that is my review ;) :lol: *~*~* *SHEILA* It's so good to hear from you! ONLY 6 hours of walking! Are you nuts?! You are doing great!!!! I too haven't been to Curves as often as I would like to go, but I find that I am so busy during my days that if I don't go in the morning I don't get it in! That's why I am going tomorrow morning for sure and again on Friday! Then next week I will get in my 3x on Mon-Wed-Fri. But I want to keep up my walking each day - I will just do less on the days I go to Curves. *CATHY* You are another *nutty-buddy :dizzy: * :lol: 70 minutes of toning!?!! How are you feeling today?? I did check out the DvD's when I was in Wal-Mart yesterday, but didn't buy it yet... yea I feel ok this morning...I mean I'm sore and my muscles feel shakey but I am fine :dizzy: I really didn't want to get up this morning and walk, but I knew I would be skipping it tomorrow, so I didn't cut myself any slack. Yes my appointment tomorrow is to see the doc that is treating my low thyroid. I am hoping and PRAYING that he will have some insight as to why I can't lose any weight. Hopefully he will be agreeable to upping my armour thryoid to 3 grains a day, if not I have decided to do it anyway, for at least 6 weeks to see if it helps, but I just wanted to talk with him about it first. Maybe he will know something that I have not thought about, even tho I have read everything I can get my hands. Sooooooo you slept in til 5:15 huh! ;) wow that is really late you sleepy head you! :rofl: hope the extra few minutes helped! hope everybody has a great day! hugs, cathy |
