You're still at it Raisin? That's awesome!

I'm on week 5 now! We are trying to move so I haven't been able to stick at running 3x week, so I should technically be further along in the programme, but whatever. I'm gettin 'er done! :D

I had forgotten that I used running as a stress reliever when I was getting married a decade and a half ago, and found a book on c25k or something similar in the library back in the ancient days before smartphones and apps. I used a stopwatch and got up to running for 15 minutes without stopping! I plan to do better this time around. :)

Thanks for the boost! I appreciate the compliment.

Running is an acquired taste for sure. But I love it. Such a stress reliever!

Raisin5Cookies and All, You guys are so impressive. It's really something how we can change ourselves. Not long ago I couldn't even imagine running, much less enjoy it. I was out of breath just taking the laundry to the washing machine. Then when I lost a little weight I started walking, and now I'm running. I'm slow but steady for about a mile.. can hardly believe it's me doing it. The scenery along our long country driveway is nice and the fresh air is invigorating. I have copd, and these life-style changes have worked wonders.

I just finished week 5! 20 minutes of non-stop running (okay, let's be honest, jogging) is the longest I've ever gone without walking. I feel amazing! This is a huge change for my life, it's fantastic.

End of week 6 on c25k!

I don't run fast, but today I tried a few quick bursts of speed and I felt sooo light on my feet. It was amazing. I'm planning on completing the programme and then focusing on improving my speed/time.

Thanks for the encouragement, ladies and gents! I probably wouldn't have started when I did without you. :)

I never liked running even as a 4 year old, and I'm not very good BUT I love the feeling that I've done it. It's a great sense of achievement!
